I came in to get an issue worked out with a I phone 15+, the store was busy at the time (Saturday evening at like 4:00). While they had their hands tied I ended up working with an in training employee named Sebastia, he was an incredible help and we solved a service issue ive been dreading for a while. Solved within 30 minuets it was super pain free, and that's just the trainee. He never tried to upsell me on anything and was only there to help, really great location of your having a tech issue. read more

Run!! Worst place ever!!! Stood in the doorway for 8 minutes before anyone acknowledged me! Was 90 degrees inside and smelled. There were jackets piled by the front... employees I assume??? Go to a real store and don't waste your time. There were three employees attempting to help customers... I say "attempting" Because none of them seem to know what they were talking about and had to ask one another questions repeatedly and send an "email" to ask someone else. The negative reviews of this place sincerely baffle me. I came in today needing a phone upgrade, and the employees were incredibly cordial, timely, and answered all of my one billion questions without any hesitation or sneakiness. I didn't have any issues whatsoever. Its obviously not a massively staffed store like some others, but they're very attentive and clearly know what's what. Small businesses like this can't always be expected to accommodate every single person that walks in immediately, especially if there's a lot of folks coming through the door at once. Beware that they charge $20 for helping you. I went in to upgrade my phone. Only at the very end, did the guy tell me that he is adding $20 for helping to transfer the data to my new phone. I asked why I wasn't told that I would be charged a fee for that. I would have done it at home. He said, "well if you want, we can reverse it and you can have your old phone back." He had already erased it! That is basically extortion. I had to pay the fee (innocuously called the "Plus Reward" fee) in order to leave. Horrible behavior by Verizon and this store. UPDATE: Multiple people from Cellular Plus and Verizon reached out to correct this situation, so I'm updating the review. I appreciate when companies are responsive and act to make sure this kind of unexpected charge doesn't happen in the future. read more

Beware! This is not a Verizon corporate store. I went in to get a new glass shield for my phone. The people were nice, but I paid more than I would have at a corporate store. They also did a crappy job installing my cover. When I expressed my concern, they promised that the corner that wasn't sticking down to my screen would adhere with some heat, like sitting it in the sun. They assured me it was under warranty so that if it didn't work I could contact the company and get it replaced. Well, I tried the sun trick and it did nothing. Now I have to go back to the store, file a claim, and get It replaced...again. This is not the service I expect from a Verizon authorized store. read more

How many wonderful things can I say about the team at Cellular Plus Verizon in Lafayette? I go to their store every 1-2 weeks to back up my phone and ask dozens (sometimes scores) of questions about my iPhone -- even after owning it for 9 months, there's just no end of learning all it can do. Lester, Taylor and the rest of the team are always welcoming and helpful, and they never make me feel stupid because of the questions I ask (which are a lot). Sometimes I spend an hour or more getting 1-on-1 instruction, and the value of this customer care is priceless. Plus the team has a great sense of humor and we share many laughs! In addition, the store is so well-staffed, I rarely have to wait for service. My only complaint is the hard, uncomfortable stools we must sit on - no chairs. Otherwise, I give this Verizon branch FIVE STARS and I would give them more stars if I could! Customer care is the most important thing to me in choosing a cell phone carrier, and I'll be with them for life. read more

I agree with the negative reviews here. I went in just to have a broken phone switched over to a new phone, same model, I bought at this store. I was thinking that I'd save time vs. using the phone/online Verizon option of having a phone shipped and then activating via a call. Turned out to be a bad idea. I think I was at the store for 2.5 hours for a simple data transfer. The people were nice, but ... I probably would have been better off waiting in line in Boulder or using the Verizon web. read more

Horrible store. They charge a fee for paying a bill in cash. Then they can't even apply it to the right account. After paying my Verizon bill in cash, they credited it to the wrong account and charged me $3 for paying cash. Save yourself a headache and take your business elsewhere. read more

Terrible customer service! Do not go here. I recommend going to the Verizon store in Boulder instead even if you have to wait in line for three hours it's totally worth it. Just Verizon store is not a corporate Verizon store. I spent nearly 2 hours trying to get my new phone switched over from my old phone. They were unable to do so and they sent me on my way. Additionally they told me that thephone case would be $25 however when I went back to get the phone case it was not $25 anymore and it was Now $40 the gentleman that I way I spoke to had kind of an attitude and was really rude with me. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! I am deaf/hearing impaired and I need to try phones prior to buying them. The reason for this is because I need to be satisfied with how loud the phone is and that I will be able to hear well when I talk on the phone. I went into this store on 1137 Diamond Circle in Lafayette, CO and I was told by several people, including the store manager that I had to sign up and have a plan prior to being able to try a phone. I am a Verizon customer and I have been for 8 years. And I told this to the people in the store. But they still would not let me try phones prior to buying them. DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!!! I've been a Verizon customer for 2 decades. Never a problem with phones or service. I went to this Cellular Plus location about 3 months ago when they opened because of the "deals" they advertised. I ended up purchasing 2 new Samsung phones. Found out the $100 off wasn't really a discount off the price. It was for "bundled" accessories - I got a charger I didn't need, a case I didn't need. OK, whatever. Then I contacted Verizon directly to make some changes in my plan. Found out this is NOT A VERIZON STORE and I was told by the Verizon rep I could have gotten a better deal on the phone by calling Verizon directly. Ok, whatever, it's ok. Well, not really. Neither phone has worked right since day one. I had to re-enter all the phone numbers I had from my old phone and deal with continuously dropped calls, bad connections, on BOTH phones I bought. Went back to Cellular Plus twice and was told the problem is we need more cell phone towers -told that our city council voted no on a new tower and to contact city council. However, they could sell me a home phone for $30 and the service each month is only $20 more for each phone! Thank goodness I just called Verizon. The Verizon rep said "That's bullshit". His words. There is no tower issue. It's the phones themselves! Maybe they're selling refurbished as new?? Now, I will have to payoff these 2 phones and try to come up with the $ to buy new. One more thing, When I went into the store, the guy said "Welcome to Verizon". I said "But you're not Verizon". He said "that's right, welcome to Cellular Plus". I went in to get a wired earbud for my phone. They were nice. When using the earbud, nobody could hear me because of static. I took it back the next day, they tested it, said it was fine. It took four men, including the manager to tell me I basically didn't know what I was talking about; since it appeared to be working. Instead of just giving me a $14 refund, they told me I should have a blue tooth, check my plug in, blah,blah,blah. They couldn't return it as they would be out the $14. poor, poor Verizon.... terrible customer service, that stems from the store manager. I know own a set of earbuds that dont work. read more

I went here to pay my prepaid Verizon bill in cash, which I normally always do at another "actual" Verizon store, but I was running errands near here so decided to just get it done since my bill was due the next day anyway. During the transaction the sales person asked if she could see my phone and started doing something on it that I could not see. I admit that I should have asked her what she needed it for and what she was doing, but I assumed it must have something to do with my payment or getting an electronic receipt or something. I didn't really think that much of it since Verizon tends to change some of their procedures for paying in cash fairly often and also the different stores seem to have some variance in the way they do things. I didn't notice until later that she had used MY TEXT to sign ME UP to some "Cellular Plus email and text alerts" and that "Message and Data Rates may apply" by replying YES to a text on my phone that the sales person and this scammy place undoubtedly sent to my phone while I was just in there to pay my bill. Again, done on MY PHONE...ON MY TEXT...WITHOUT MY CONSENT to whatever "service" this shit is. I didn't even notice it until later and then I had to "OPT OUT" of something that I never opted into in the first place (who now no doubt has me on there contact list)!! You need to reel in your unethical behavior. What scammers. It may be something innocuous...(?) However, I have no way of knowing that. How dare you think you have the right to do that! If you wanted to "sell" me something, why didn't you just talk to me about it? Clearly you must be getting some kind of kickback. Grow up and acquire some values. read more

City of Lafayette and citizens -- DO NOT GO IN HERE!! This place is beyond terrible, easily the worst store in Boulder County. I felt like I needed a shower after going in this store and dealing with their salespeople. I would give them negative stars if I could. I have never felt so violated by a business in my life. We wanted to call the police. I feel like the employees here are actually trained to rip people off. These guys are NOT an actual Verizon corporate store. They severely misrepresented Verizon as a company and should not be allowed to serve as an authorized retailer. These guys tried to trick us into buying "free things" that turned out not to be free that they tried to hide on our bill, were pretending that they actually worked for Verizon, and getting less money to turn in our old phones that we would have from the real Verizon store. They lied about everything to us, and they couldn't even access our accounts. I should have known these guys were full of it when they told us to use the Starbucks WiFi network next door because theirs was so slow.
