I was helping my elderly mother buy a new flip phone on my plan. Once it was done, they said I could pay a fee to have the information transferred to her new phone. I didn't need it but I needed help with the pin. The manager (who was filling in for the day) forbid the young gentleman trying to help me understand navigating the pin. He said not to help us unless we pay the transfer fee. I've been a Verizon customer for 22 years and this is the treatment I received. The younger gentleman realized I've been a customer longer than he's been alive and told me he disagrees with the mangers attitude towards me. I give a zero star to the manager and 5 star to the young man willing to help me understand the Pin procedure. Unbelievable. read more

The salesman I spoke to today was a liar. He told me they could not change my PIN number even though they are a corporate store. That's a lie. The corpo customer service said so. They also said their system only goes back one month. THAT was a lie as well. Their system goes back as far as 2021. (I changed mobile service providers and am taking advantage of their phone balance buyout program). Finally, I requested the manager, and the dude said that he "was in a meeting". I bet that was a lie, too! all of this wasted my time, as I had to uber there and back due to being disabled and not able to drive. AVOID THE STORE ON SOUTH FL AVENUE!!!! I was helping my elderly dad purchase a new phone through Verizon's website for store pick up at the Florida Ave. Lakeland, FL. location. After spending 2 hours setting up everything online and choosing a new plan and phone there were some options for purchasing a case. So we thought why not. Few minutes after the order went through, the Lakeland Verizon store called my dad saying the case is not in stock and the ENTIRE purchase will be cancelled and we will need to come in the store to repurchase. We told them just cancel the order and we will go elsewhere, it sounded nonsensical. So we redid the entire procedure over again and set up for next day delivery direct from Verizon. However, the original phone purchase was NEVER cancelled by Lakeland Verizon. So my dad paid for 2 phones. After spending countless hours with Verizon and the Lakeland store, he still has not gotten a refund! This has been going on since 12/5/24 and doesn't look like he will ever get the money back. The fact they cancelled the order for something silly and insisted he goes into the store makes me think they would not have gotten commission or credit on the purchase. So they stole his money! My parent had other issues with this location previously but I'm only writing about my experience for now. Do not go here, they will really screw you around. read more

Beware! Something is wrong at this store and Verizon corporate should investigate. Reading other reviews, this sounds like a routine scam the staff is in on. To start with, I've never successfully received account changes as I thought I should from the staff in this store. Every time I make a change to my account or add a phone, I have to call the corporate office to make corrections. I pre-ordered two iPhone 13 Pro Max phones one week prior to release. The plan was to take advantage of the $1,000 trade-in promo using two mint iPhone 11 Pro Max phones. Christopher did the pre-order and told me to bring in the old phones once the new phones arrive. Prior to returning the phones, the new invoice arrives and there was no trade-in. Essentially the order was done incorrectly. Today, my wife took the two phones to the store to have the offer applied. She was told the credit would be $365 per phone. Once she told me what they offered, we immediately called since that's not how the promo should have worked (she didn't know this). I immediately went back to the store to discuss this with the manager (Josh) only to find out the promotion wasn't setup and instead, Denise had setup the two iPhone 11's to be traded in for $365 (which was ridiculously low) each via an electronic gift card to an account and email address not belonging to my company. I was treated very rudely by the manager (Josh) and he didn't seem concerned that two mistakes had happened on my account and that my phones were essentially being stolen from me and that someone would be able to cash in the electronic gift cards. He told me I should be happy I returned same day to take my phones back or they would have been gone and I wouldn't have received anything for them. It turns out Denise gave my wife a basic receipt with no accounting attached to my business. Do yourself a favor when dealing with this store, ask lots of questions and get lots of documentation before you leave the store. They talk fast and do incorrect work and don't seem to care about your property. read more

Your company are a bunch of liars. You sell products under false pretenses, your customer service is made of people who cannot speak the language (and this is coming from a Hispanic whith a bit of an accent), and when asking for a supervisor, your agents follow the cowards' way and hang up on your hard working customers who have invested thousands of dollars into your company. Horrible treatment, horrible company! My bill was created on December 20. On the 21 i bought some accessories that I was told by an agent in your Lakeland store will be billed on January 20 to be paid in February. At the beginning of January I checked my account and noticed that the accessories were added to the bill that was sent on December to be paid in Janaury. I called Verizon, explained what I was told, and the agent said it was OK. She would make the change for me to pay for the accessories by February, which was the original agreement. My services were just disconnected. I called Verizon customer service. I was transferred multiple times, had to explain the situation multiple times, and was told: 1. Go back to the store when the store told me to speak to customer service. 2. Speak to billing services when billing services told me to speak to customer service. 3. Was told the charges were correct and nothing would be done, calling me a liar for me accepting what the store agent told me and the customer service agent that I called in early December told me. I then asked for a supervisor, I was put on a 40 minute hold and the agent hung up. This was a horrible experience. I had to pay the over $900 bill with money I had earmarked for other expenses. I did not think I would shop around after getting Verizon 6 years ago, but I'll start looking at competitors. read more

This store has two noteworthy employees worth mentioning. Asia and Kelci. They both assisted me in obtaining a new line and getting a free iPhone but later changed it for a Samsung S20. They were super helpful and informative. They made the process easy, little to no wait time, and I was pleased. I highly recommend this place and these gold star employees. read more

1st was sold the new home wireless internet that works off of cell towers and was told that it is a different tower than my cellphone. I was concerned because I only have 1-2 bars at my home. This was a lie, and the internet at my home was spotty. Told I had 30 days to disconnect- fine that's doable. Then our family had a major emergency that resulted in me missing the 30 day return window by one day on a technicality. I understand this is not the issue of Verizon, however I asked if we could still cancel and just pay a penalty, as the internet doesn't work. The very rude woman, middle aged with a gray paige boy haircut, told me no, we are locked in for 3 years, and there is nothing you can do to get out of it. I then said I guess I'll need to close my checking account that this is linked to, as I cannot afford pay for services I can't even use. She then raised her voice and angrily said "your threats to me personally will get you no where!" What? What threat did I make to you personally?? Funny ending, I called Verizon customer service line when I got home, and guess what...there is no 3 year contract. And there is no penalty canceling past 30 days. So all that anger over me wanting to end my service and her actually making false threats to me, when she could have terminated my internet contact with no penalty, but instead let me leave thinking I had no options but to be stuck with the service. read more

I had an simple issue to pay my bill and after waiting 40 mins for a rep to be available they direct me to a kiosk and even after the kiosk didnt work for me the rep still did not assist me to pay my bill. She stated she cant help me and to call the 1800 number. she didnt even give me the number to call. Just escorted me out the door. Let me start by saying AJ has been fantastic through this process... but that doesn't take a way from the facts. They have thieves... whether in-store or passerby. Please learn from my mistake. Do not trade in-location without written proof. Document your visit with photos if necessary, why? Because my trade-in was stolen after I turned it over to the personnel in this location. I found out today that my trade-in from 02/13/2021 was never applied to my account. Supposedly, their store team didn't log that it was received even though I stood at the counter with 2-3 representatives while one of them wrote down the trade-in information, getting the ID number etc. To make matters worse, someone else traded it in (at the same store!!) last month. A phone that I purchased brand new and never left my possession until I walked into this store. Conveniently, their store cameras only record 30 days - and it has now been 5months. For months I've been trying to get an answer, to be told there was no issue. HA! Today, I not only learn that there is an issue, but I will NOT receive the $600 promo because they cannot verify my trade. Someone knew what they were doing the day I walked in!! I was told the primary person on the account had to be there in order to purchase the iPhone Pro 11. So I went over to Brandon mall and they did it for me and had no problem calling the primary account holder by phone. Also the plant city Verizon store had no problem calling the primary account holder when I upgraded in the past. I think the skinny white boy I spoke to had his facts wrong. I walked in knowing what I wanted and immediately felt comfortable with the sanitation policy's, unfortunately I quickly realized my provider was at&t. However, the gentleman helping me was still friendly and and gave me directions to the nearest at&t store as well as further explaining iCloud coverage and new charger options. Later I left and walked into at&t with a less experience. There was one person working and was with a guest. I quietly waited to the side even though I wasn't even acknowledged. After 15 mins I decided to leave there store and am now considering on changing providers. I wish I got the name of the gentleman that assisted me because he was great! read more

Verizon Wireless, like regular Verizon, is a shining example of a company too large for quality service. They are too busy manipulating people and prices to be an "honest company". This store does not post the prices of their phones, they expect you to wait in LINE for customer "service" and work an oral deal. They need more service reps or posted prices. The wait is ridiculous. Their prices are even worse. Unfortunately they have the best audible range and sound, so you are over a barrel. read more

Verizon in the Tampa area sold out to Frontier Communications without resolving the billing issues they had before the sale. They did not give Frontier all the information on the accounts they sold so Frontier doesn't have any way to fix the problems Verizon left behind. There are 12 families in my building that were over charged for services and dropped the ball on Frontier with Verizon owing us more than $1500.00 a piece in over charges. When Frontier finishes collecting from me, Verizon will owe me over $2000.00 and they refuse to take our calls to fix this so we are banding together to file a class action suit for 1 million dollars per person. Don't use Verizon services at all if you can help it. read more
