Beware We bought the one gig plan and after it was installed. We found it was only doing about 7:20. After fighting for 3 days to get th eeros set up properly. We got the same runn around that. Oh, that's how it works. They made no effort to correct this problem. So it is true. They have very poor speeds and very poor service. I've had internet with FRONTIER For seven years now and I'm very pleased. I spoke with Kimberly this morning and the loyalty department and she was able to work with me and keep my bill at a rate that is affordable since the ACP program ended. What a blessing. She is an excellent customer service representative and worked with me, was very friendly and compassionate ! Hats off and Kudos to Frontier for great service all around! They also did the same for my family members! Spectrum has been trying to get us to switch for several months now and I'm so glad that we decided to stick with Frontier! read more

Frontier is awful. Getting our internet back up took three days. The website's self-help instructions didn't resolve the issue. Unsurprisingly, the app chat function is useless. Frontier makes it extremely difficult to find the customer service number or get through to an actual person. When I finally got through, they said Frontier would send a new router but when I called a second time the order was not in the system. We never received a new router. The next rep wasn't in a good mood and throughout the conversation was either impatient or rude. They did resolve the issue by changing the Optical Network Terminal port. Now the landline in the area is down and Frontier didn't send an alert notifying users of a general outage and the app doesn't say anything about this. It took three phone calls to learn about the outage. Frustrating!! We need more competition in this area!! read more

Absolutely the worst customer service, I thought spectrum was bad. Today they installed fiber next door and their third party installer cut our line. The tell me they can't fix it for two days. They caused the issue and the contractor should come back promptly. When I asked for a bill credit was told I have to call billing. I had already been on hold over an hour. Forgot to pay the bill, got disconnected and 1 hour later they texted me why I didn't have internet. No alert or anything at all. Surprise!!! We disconnected you because you missed a payment. So I paid full amount in minutes and now they say it takes 24 hours to reconnect. WTF? I even called to see if they could do something and nope, for reconnecting they have a process. The equipment this company used to install my service gave out less than a year in. I called because the loss of internet obviously interrupted my work day and I needed it restored. Instead of having an emergency repair tech available to come fix the issue with their equipment, they told me that one will be with me in two days. I'm sure my boss will love that I can't get work done until Thursday, because they will be here between 1-5 on Wednesday. If you are considering the switch, pick ANY OTHER COMPANY. If you work from home they are clearly unconcerned with your business, so don't take the risk. This company struck me as a customer first company that was coming to take market share from the bigger companies. This does not appear to be their focus. Again, if you are looking for a WFH friendly and reliable Internet company, this isn't the one. read more

My wife and I were extremely excited to dump Spectrum for frontier; however, there were hours of outages DAILY for the entire first week. working from home, that is UNACCEPTABLE! Customer service is absolutely terrible as well! when there is an outage, good luck on getting to speak to someone! Please learn from our mistake and stay clear of this company! We had their equipment for less than 2 weeks and still have to pay all kind of fees, even though we reconnected Spectrum on Day 5. Have had Frontier for years with no issues and loved it. For the past year it doesn't work for a few hours daily. Have had multiple service calls with no resolution. I had an appointment with a service technician yesterday and they no showed. Apparently they texted a cancellation but sent it to the wrong number! Each time I call for help there is a lengthy delay and then I have to jump thru hoops to talk to anyone. Everyone I speak to there tries to be helpful but never gets any resolution to the problem. They thought the problem was their router but never sent me a technician to fix/replace it. I feel wonderful cancelling my service with them. DO NOT USE Frontier...they do not care!! read more

Customer since 1970 with internet since 2000 for a total of $89 monthly. My condo association got internet offer from Spectrum along with a TV package so I call Frontier to cancel internet service but keep the landline dad wants. After 20 minutes of keyboard clacking on their end they state internet will be cancelled at next billing cycle. Good thing I asked "and what will my new monthly charge be?" before hanging up. Customer rep states $129, an increase of $40 monthly. Thinking he misunderstood and upgraded the internet instead of cancelling it, I double checked. Turns out I was being charged a "bundle" fee and since I cancelled my internet, the phone alone was going to be much more costly. Really? $129? What about the $30 rate you advertise? Seems that for newbie customers, is good for just a few months, and includes nothing but enough power to make your phone ring (no caller ID, long distance, etc). So, I tell the rep that I've seen these phones at various Mart stores that promise phone home service for $15 monthly including long distance, caller ID, voicemail, etc. Their response? "Yes, that's possible." Best you can do for a customer of 49 years? Next day, I ordered Consumer Cellular's home phone (it's cell based but even more reliable than the landline it replaced) and now pay less than $20 monthly, taxes and all. Finally icing on the cake? Frontier charges me for an extra month service because I went over 2 days and then took 3 months to refund the overage. Might explain why their stock is in the flusher and they're losing business. read more

I've had Frontier (aka Verizon) for 8 years and will say the service was fine, however, when I canceled the service, I was 3 days into the next service period and they charged me for the full month. It does say that in their fine print, but who reads that! Kiss over $60 good bye...ust a rip off of the consumer! I see where a Frontier rep responded...it makes absolutely no difference. They should pro-rate their service, but no, that would eliminate them ripping we consumers off! Like I said before, 3 days into the billing cycle, and they charge me for a full month. We were excited to finally receive frontier services in our area and to be rid of Spectrum, but the offer we got also allowed us a $200 visa giftcard. It was sent 12/27, we waited a month to call since we never received it, they told us they would send the card again and it's been over a month and still nothing. When I saw that Frontier was installing service on my street, I was happy that we could finally get rid of spectrum and have the fiber optics service that is supposed to be some much better. When the man came to the door I jumped at the offer and signed up immediately, without checking reviews or doing any homework, my mistake. The service was installed almost two weeks ago, and I still have a cable just lying on the lawn instead of being buried. I have tried to contact Frontier and get nothing but a maze of automated robots that tell me they have no record of my account. On top of all this, the main cable feed is installed in my neighbors' yard instead of the street where it belongs, so there are cables running all over my yard and my neighbors, basically going in circles and very vulnerable to damage. I'm giving one more attempt to get these people out here to finish their job, or I will physically cut the exposed wiring, gather up all their equipment and take it to the nearest office where they can keep it. read more

Absolutely the worst business we have ever worked with 15 years in business We moved from another location -- to here where it seems Frontier is the only current option. Took them over 3 months to set up internet to our new location. We moved in then they could not provide Phone. Another two months later still waiting. Now we have a bill that is so filled with garbage charges -- that cannot be explained by reps. Absolutely awful follow up by reps that all seem to not know what they are doing.. BATE & SWITCH I signed up for Frontier Internet on 10-28-19. On line advertising said $29.99 with a $75 installation fee, payed over 3 months. The add also said a router rental monthly fee was $10. When I got the bill it was $130 due 11-25-19. The $75 had to be paid by the 25th of November, plus an additional $9.99, along with the monthly charge and router charge. BEWARE they charged me a $9.99 delivery and handling fee even though the installing tech brought the equipment with him, and the adverting stated $75 installation. The customer service rep, and supervisor (Leslie) both said I had to have called to let them know I wanted the $75 spread over 3 months at $25 per month. They said an email, which I never received had been sent stating this, and that a copy could not be resent, it just was not possible. There are numerous complaints about the $10 monthly router rental fee from people that already have a router but still must pay for theirs even if they never received a router. I had gotten internet from them about 2-3 weeks ago and ive had spectrum before and i thought they were bad but these guys are by far the worst internet service company ,when my cell phone data will load 3-4 times faster than there wifi then theres an issue , also took my three times calling there automated machine just to talk to a real person just to cancel my plan that on top of all this , they want me to pay 85 dollars each month for service that never works read more

They are clearly attempting to get in the Guiness Book by providing the world's worst service. It takes hours to talk to someone, the person you talk to may or may not take notes so that what he said would happen may or may not happen. Installation (in my experience) is incredibly sloppy and slip-shod. The technicians just want to get it over with. Because of the sloppy installation I asked for a service call to fix it. So they were supposed to show up but never did. I called several times and finally was told that they weren't going to make a service call. Fine, I did it myself. Then I got a bill for the service call. Hours on the phone. I explained that the service call never happened and was told that the amount would be deducted. Next month, the same charge appeared on my bill. Hours on hold. The person told me that she would send it to corporate as a disputed bill and if they decided to honor it they would deduct the amount. No promises. We'll see. Maybe I'll revise my rating to two stars if they do deduct it. Stay away from this company. read more
