The old bait-and-switch is back! These people are scammers. It's not even a real Verizon store. It's one of those slimy strip-mall stores that used to have neon "free cell phones" signs plastered everywhere, but they dressed it up to look like a Verizon store. The fact that it's a third-party reseller of Verizon services means Verizon is not obligated to honor any of the lies these people tell. A review does us no good since I've already had to spend countless hours over several months to get back our money this store stole, so I'm writing this review to hopefully help others avoid unnecessarily losing hundreds of dollars. My wife and I have been Verizon customers for over 30 years, which means we've given Verizon literally tens of thousands of dollars and had every intention of continuing for another 30 years. So it was pretty dumb to push us to a competitor just to steal an extra $300, but that's exactly the choice the scammers at this store made on behalf of Verizon. So when you get bills from Verizon that are literally triple what you agreed to, understand that Verizon isn't obligated to honor the bait-and-switch sales tactics of the scammers at this fake Verizon store. Salesman/scammer Elijah told us several times that neither new phone would cost us anything at all if we upgraded to the plan he suggested. That was a lie. We were charged for the phones, plus a significant "upgrade fee" he never mentioned (despite being asked several times about any additional costs). Elijah also insisted it would be free to leave one of our old phones on our account as a backup. That too was an outright lie. Not a mistake, an intentional lie. We were charged for that line we didn't need, didn't ask for, and only accepted based on his lies. Why didn't we just talk to the store manager? We did, but Sherri is totally clueless and clearly only the "manager" because she's older than the other scammers. That's why I later had to spend many hours to get Verizon to eventually acknowledge that we obviously wouldn't have agreed to a bunch of extra services we clearly don't need unless their third-party reseller was dishonest about what the costs. Switching many of its old stores from real Verizon stores to these scam shops, thus putting the reputation of the entire corporation in the hands of slimy scammers, is clearly a large part of the reason for the Verizon's struggles in recent years. In fact, I'd bet it's the reason the company's prior CEO was finally fired last year. We're far from the types who complain for no reason. In fact, the people at this fake Verizon store had 5 separate opportunities to correct any of the problems they created, thus make unnecessary all the calls, letters, etc. to Verizon corporate. The first opportunity was to simply be honest about literally anything during the initial sale, then any of the 3 more times we had to waste time going back to get the issues resolved. Ironically, one of those 5 opportunities was when I emailed "Victra" District Manager Ryan Pokornik the day after our purchase to tell him how great salesman Elijah was (before realizing literally everything he told us to get us to sign was an outright lie). Now I know why that DM chose to ignore my email (because he knew, once I got my bill I'd realize we had been scammed so, if he acknowledged my praising email, I'd then be able to follow up with him (and beyond him). read more

Waited for 30 minutes and left. Only 1 person at this store on a Satirday, did not seem to care much. Wanted to upgrade 4 lines.

I bought a screen protector for my iPhone 13 here. I didn't know that it is NOT a Verizon owned store! My screen protector, that had a warranty, cracked, so I took it in. They said they did not have a replacement in stock and to check back in a couple of weeks. They said it was due to the new iPhone 15 coming out as why they had no stock and could not replace it undrer warranty. Just to be safe, I waited four weeks to return to give them ample time to get some in stock. For the second time, I was told they did not have them in stock. They admitted they are not stocking. This way, they don't have to replace them under warranty! I will never come back to this shady business. Follow up: traveled to the Verizon owned store 3 miles away and got the protector replaced. I had to pay for it but I will be driving the 3 extra miles in the future to avoid this place. read more

Verizon's service in Land O Lakes is non-existent. I just bought a NEW phone and still have 0 bars! Dropped calls ALL DAY. Can't even make calls. We are changing carriers ASAP, and my wife has been with these idiots for 25 years. We pay $225 per month and our phones don't work!!! read more

Watch all the extra charges. They charge you setup fees even if they don't setup your device. (I am not talking about the Verizon $35 activation fee either). I asked why and the answer was well I got you a promotion and I sold you a phone. They can only take their "fees" off so many bills per month per store. I spoke to Verizon HD and that is not their fee just something this location charges. They also setup one of our phones wrong and put 2 phones on one sim so the phone just stopped working on my 76 yr old mom while out at the store. Took her hours back in the store to fix. Also the sales team has to call Verizon to do everything. This is a third party store so don't have access to everything or full knowledge of promotions or how to apply them. A side note: my mom went to the authorized Verizon store for help first with the phone issue and she was told she had to go back to the purchasing store for help because they can't do anything as this was purchased from a third party. We did not realize this store was not one. Make sure to go to a main/true (corporate) Verizon store. Not this one. On a side note, Mike and his co-workers were friendly but not worth it after all the fees, bill screw ups and hours and hours lost sitting at the store while they return and rebill me for phones I didn't even get. read more

We stopped into Go Wireless to get a new phone for me. I've hated my LG phone since my husband bought them (mine & his) about 2 years ago. Ron was quite busy as he was the only employee there so I'm glad we went at a quieter time. When it was our turn he gave us his undivided attention. He explained the differences in the 2 models I was looking at, helping me choose. He transfered everything from my old phone to my new galaxy s21 fe. I was concerned that I would lose information as I had when I switched from Samsung to LG but he made sure everything was moved. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. We got such a great deal that my husband decided to trade in his phone as well. read more

If you want to make two of the biggest mistakes of your life - switch to Verizon and do it at this location. Did you know that if you buy your phone or any other Verizon products here such as warranty and screens the corporate Verizon stores will not honor those purchases. Royally took it in the ass from this place.. Went in for a jetpack for internet access.. Got talked into upgrading my phone and going to a "beyond unlimited plan" After repeatedly going in and asking them what was up with the overage texts I kept getting, they just kept saying don't worry about it... We'll take care of it.. They set me up on the wrong plan and ended I up with a $1200.00 bill. They also set me up unknowingly on a 2 year contract for the jetpack which will end up costing me $480.00 for a $50.00 jet pack. Total idiots that have no clue what they are doing and absolutely no customer service.. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE !!!!!! read more

Had a crap experience at this location. We spoke with Jerry which i guess is the guy that "runs" the place, which needs to be changed because it's not running very well. He even rudely told us about how "this is the like the 7th return just this week." I had went there to see if the store had any stainless steel, 42mm, series 3 watches in stock in which they said they did and that they'd have to me by friday, just in time for Father's Day. I was so happy everything seemed to be working out and then come to find out, they didn't even process the order through. So they then tell me that they have an aluminum 38mm series 3, which wasn't what we wanted but we did want something for my husband to open up on Father's day. So we said yes to that and I ended up getting it the Thursday before father's day. Well my husband of course was thankful for the watch but did still want the 42mm stainless steel because that's just what he liked and I knew that. So I ended up having to go to the Apple store to get him just that. But we both go to return the other apple watch to this Verizon location and as soon as we get into the store, the guy that was working, Jerry, already just seemed rude. He tells me that there will be a restocking fee in which when we got the Apple watch it had already been a return. Jerry tells me very bluntly that there is not supposed to be any returns on the shelf and sold. But just that happened to us. So of course I did not want to pay the restocking fee. The guy gave us a hard time about that and is huffing and puffing. Like seriously? grow up. Our family has had Verizon's cellphone service since cellphones were around. And this is the worst and hopefully the last bad experience i will have. We pay quite a bit of money every month to have this service when I know there are cheaper services out there, but I stay with them cause they are a good cell phone carrier. read more
