The employees at this store are awesome. They went above and beyond to address and fix the problem I was having. They went all the way to calling the store manager to get it resolved. Went to another location in Warrington, PA and waited 40 minutes for a rep to help me to then be told that the rep I'd been assigned couldn't sell me anything so I'd have to wait again. They were apologetic but I couldn't wait longer so came here and got immediate really knowledgeable help. read more

Verizon reminds me of that kid in school, you know the one...he's cool, has friends, is with the "in crowd" and everyone knows him and those who don't, all wish they did. Until, one day, that kid decides to take advantage of his friends. And the friend finds it hard to fight back because the kid, who once was "cool" is now a major BULLY to everyone. Yep. That's my image of Verizon. In all my years of writing reviews (and I have been behind lately) I never thought I'd waste time writing a negative review. And, believe me when I say that something must have gone very wrong for me to write about it. However, you can think of this review more of a hazardous warning to other shoppers out there who may potentially plan to stop by this Verizon store. Let me begin by saying that I tried to give this review NO stars at all. The app wouldn't allow a review with a zero star rating, so I had to add at least one star, this Verizon store deserves none and here's why... My husband has been trying to purchase a new iPhone for me for WEEKS. Originally, we traveled to this Verizon store. We had an appointment, although it was a weeknight and the shop was empty so it wasn't necessary. A salesperson (Kristen? I'll refer to her as "K") and another young lady whose name I didn't catch were there to assist us. K told us that if we wanted to trade in my iPhone 7 for the iPhone 12, and could wait just one more day, we would receive a larger trade-in/bonus because the iPhone 13 was about to be released. Sounded like good financial sense to us, so we waited. Now, I'm not going to go through all of the step-by-step brutal details and HOURS of phone calls and hold times we spent with Verizon Customer Service. To do so might crash the Yelp app. So, I'll skip to the part where we went to the store on Saturday (2 full weeks later, NOT one day as K stated) to trade in my phone. "K" was there. She remembered us and looked up my information. Then she told me that my iPhone and trade-in value were "pending." My husband and I looked at each other puzzled and then asked for the manager. Damien, the store manager, came out and he repeated what "K" said. My husband asked, "Is there anything that he (Damien) could do to fix the pending status?" He gave Damien a review of the previous 2 weeks. And this was Damien's response, "No. The system will fix itself. It takes a few days. The promotion ends at the end of the month so you can come back on Thursday. My husband and I both left the store, extremely frustrated, and called Verizon's Customer Service number directly while sitting in our car. We were persistent enough to get through to a Manager who released the Pending status, cleared the problems and, as we sat in the parking lot of the Verizon store, basically doing the job an employee could do, we're able to correct the issues Verizon had on my iPhone. Once our conversation was over, we ended the call, reset the old iPhone and, sure enough, someone we had not seen before, came out to our car with a shopping bag containing my new iPhone. Sadly, ironic that we had to do the work of Verizon employees to obtain a new iPhone. Makes you wonder what happens to others who may not understand how to navigate through miles of red tape? Or those who have a language barrier or a disability? What's happened to "Customer Service " in America anymore? read more

My granny has memory problems and is slow in her old age. The workers here know exactly how to exploit that, and I would never do business here personally. She bought a phone. Then, without understanding what she was doing, the salesman here added insurance to our joint phone bill. Hours of headache later, the charges were reversed. This was without her knowing. They need to be taught ethics here. I have it annotated in my account to consult with me whenever she requests a change to the account. I went to Verizon today because my husband's phone had stopped charging. I ended up getting a new 1phone 10S. I came home with it not realizing the difference in the newer phones. The verizon guy could have cared less about explaining the phone to me. As a result I am left on my own to figure it out or I have to go back. What is wrong with these people? Do they just pull them off the street and not give them any proper training? There was no one in the store at the time so I don't now why the man could not have been more helpful. Not sure I will keep going with verizon after this. Judy I had to go back to Verizon and got two people that were more helpful. The one man taught me how to use the phone but when I answered the security questions wrong he said I would have to go to Apple. I then called my son who showed me how to change the security so that I did not have to go to apple. The man went on break so I got someone else that was able to get the contacts to my husband's phone. All I can say is it depends on what person you get and how patient that person is. Sending people to Apple should be a last resort because there are ways around it and I wish the man would have told me that or I would not have to call my son for help. Said kindly...Verizon SUCKS. I can't believe how badly they have screwed me over time and time again. The representatives are rude and clueless!!! This location also has a Verizon Fios section which is equally as disappointing. Let me just say: NO. Do NOT sign up for Verizon anything. They charged me double because the rep messed up and signed me up for two contracts and now I have to pay a TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY dollar deactivation fee for something that was THEIR mistake. I've spoken to representatives on the phone multiple times and none of them understand that the fault is on behalf of Verizon, not me! ALSO, they sold me a Hotspot and gave me the impression that I could use it in place of buying a router. THEN I went back to ask how it works and a rep told me I couldn't use it for the things they originally told me I could (streaming videos, Netflix, etc.) and requested I sign up for a Fios account. BONUS: I can't return the unused Hotspot because it violates my contract. Now I'm paying 20 dollars extra a month for something I don't use. I have so many more incidents, but I'm over wasting my energy on this company. Can't wait to switch my plan and never have to think about these frustrations again. read more

Or you have one conscientious employee who is trying to help multiple customers at the same time so you wait and wait and wait til your turn comes around again. I've been to Verizon stores in other states and it's a similar experience. Does Verizon make their store atmosphere so unpleasant to visit that people will use their online services instead? .... Long story short...I am on my seventh phone in three months (Five Six Windows 8 phones and one Droid). It is a joke that I keep getting reconditioned phones. I do not get it! I bought a new one, I deserve a new one, not someone else's "supposedly fixed" piece of junk. I have been inconvenienced TOO many times at this point and am definitely not finished with these people. My advice...get an iPhone! MUCH better customer service and a better quality product...Apple stands behind its products! Here is the long story... Marquis (Verizon)- Thank you for your message. I hated to blast Verizon, but I have really had it! I have wasted countless hours at your stores, dealing with incompetent salespeople who do NOTHING for a customer as far as service. I understand they are following company protocol, but the protocol is sub-standard in the industry. Here is the story... FIRST SMARTPHONE-I purchased a NEW Droid Incredible II. Charging port went bad toward the end of the contract, I was told they did fix that part of the phone, so I had to pay an upgrade fee of $30 to get a new phone when I really was not prepared to do so. Purchased at the Limerick Authorized Dealer. Phone #1-I purchased a NEW Nokia Lumia Windows 8 Operating system...erratic shut-offs and would not hold a charge. Sent it back. Purchased at Oaks Authorized dealer and initiated the return at the King of Prussia Authorized Dealer. Phone #2-Nokia Lumia Windows 8 Operating system...got stuck in an operating system download (two interchanging moving wheels). Sent it back. Dealt with Towamencin Authorized Dealer. Phone #3-Nokia Lumia Windows 8 Operating system...got stuck in an operating system download (two interchanging moving wheels AGAIN). Battery completely discharged. Sent it back. Dealt with Towamencin authorized dealer who sent me to the Montgomeryville Corporate Store. Service there was less professional than the authorized dealers...very casual staff, less customer service, felt rushed and was there for a long time. A salesperson also tried to sell me Verizon FIOS when I was there. I was not satisfied when I left. They offered a new type of Windows 8 phone. I felt very uncomfortable there. I needed a phone on the spot, and they could not do that for me! Phone #4-reconditioned version of the Nokia (blue one...only had it a few days) which did not have a removable battery. When on the phone, the battery heated up to an uncomfortable temperature after a ten-minute conversation. I had to put on the speaker phone to end the call. Dealt with your Towamencin authorized dealer again. While I was there, they tried to recover my contacts; some reappeared, but most did not. They recommended another phone...the Samsumg Galaxy III. Send the other one back. Phone #5-Received another reconditioned phone, this time is was the Samsung Galaxy III. This was the worst yet. I did not go back to the store this time, I activated it myself. Contacts on the cloud were all lost again. Within a few days, the device began shutting off and on all day long. I have had to take off the back cover and take out the batter no less than ten times a day for the past week. The battery does not last more than four hours (with no programs running in the background and location services turned off). I can see an incoming call, but cannot answer it. When I make a call, it rings twice, and then the line goes dead. This is not acceptable of a "newer device". I really like this phone, but it was obviously never fully operational after reconditioned. Bottom line, I want a NEW phone. I bought a new phone and deserve a new one to replace it. I do not understand why Verizon does not operate like Apple. They replaced my son's iPhone 5 that was acting erratic, no questions asked. He did not receive a reconditioned phone. They went into the back room and brought out a sealed box and on the spot, resolved his problem. I am beyond frustrated and cannot believe that no one thinks this is a big deal. Until I posted this message on Yelp, no one has even contacted me or followed up. I have been without a fully functional phone now for over three months. I have paid full fee for the monthly service charges, but have not had full service. I have wasted countless hours driving to and waiting at your stores and authorized dealerships and have had to travel way out of my way each time. This is unacceptable. I need to know what Verizon plans to do to rectify this problem once and for all; I will not accept another reconditioned phone. I would appreciate a prompt response with some direction as to what I should do next. read more

Normally not a negative person, but I'm definitely not satisfied with my last (ever) experience with this store. The only reason for using an actual brick and mortar store for purchases, would be to have a person to help you when there is a problem with the purchase. My iPhone 8 had a problem. Apparently, according to Google searches, my phone had a common or known problem of splitting open during charging due to battery heating and swelling. Obviously heating up enough to allow the metal to bend inside my LifeProof case. I purchased the phone 10 days before and tried to return it for exchange on the 14th day(per the 14 day return/exchange policy). The sales person and manager pointed out the obvious fact, that the phone was indeed damaged. The manager claimed that the phone must have bent while in my pocket.?. And that cancels the return or exchange policy. The phone did NOT bend while in my pocket! So now my opinion is that there is NO need to go into one of these locations. Just buy it online. Customer service needs a lot of work at this store...I don't even know where to start. After one negative experience, I went still went back. I thought maybe they were having a bad day. Nope. Even worse the second time and wasn't even busy - overall attitude of no interest in pleasing the customer, making excuses. I'm writing this for my aunt and uncle. They got tricked by the associates at this place. They were in the store and the sales rep offered them a "free tablet" without telling them that there is a $10 connection fee to use the data. My aunt is from another generation, they are less familiar with this stuff, the sales rep totally took advantage of this. The sales rep also had my aunt and uncle signing up for an edge plan. I'm not gonna lie, it's a bit confusing even for me, and I'm in my 30s. They thought they were getting an iPhone for $100, not knowing that they have to pay $350 more in the next two year. This is not a good policy. The sales manager was nice enough to refund the $40 activation fee for the tablet but let's be honest, that's not what my aunt want. There wasn't much he could do due to the signed contract. So basically, ask more questions before signing. read more

My wife and I were in there today (June 18, 2016) and after reading all the negative reviews were bracing for a long, arduous and unpleasant experience picking up her new phone bought online. But guess what, we in and out of there in 10 minutes, the staff was very helpful and the phone was sealed bagged up and ready to go. We have always come to this Verizon store and never had an issue, however, today we did. The salesperson told us we had a $200 discount in our account that we could use towards a new iPhone. She neglected to read the fine print and after telling us we could use that discount she then said we can't because she didn't read the fine print. They wouldn't honor the discount they said we would receive in any way. I will likely be switching phone carriers now after the poor customer service I received today. read more

They are extremely rude and just act like they can't be bothered and push tons of unneeded accessories on you... and apparently I had a "manager" Who barely made eye contact with me when talking and had the shortest answers in history And kept looking around like I was wasting his time. Went to buy an iPhone 13 and when I asked if they could open it so I could see the color I was told they couldn't open it I could look at the box... I've never been to one where they wouldn't show you the actual phone you are buying. Then I got charged a $35 "upgrade fee" for buying a new phone when I was upgrade eligible- again something I have never had happen before. With the cost of these phones they have a lot of nerve charging some sort of "upgrade" fee just for the privilege of buying a new phone.. The store I've always gone to for my phones, about 20 years now. Last visit i upgraded old phone. Mark helped me compare models. Looked at my memory usage and talked me OUT of spending more for more storage on new phone. Mentioned some promotion, wound up getting my runner wife an apple watch for only $16/mo that does not need her cell phone-- she loves it, was thrilled. Helped me make the most of my included accessory pkg, again talking me out of duplicate items and poor decisions, how to stretch my dollars. Saw me all the way through a contentious set up on the new phone; I was there maybe 90 minutes. Friendly, helpful, he got ready help from couple other staff members while I was there. I have never taken the time to write a bad review for one single entity, but this Verizon store, specifically the employee named Josh ( I believe he was the mgr.) has prompted me to do so. I have never encountered a ruder or more belligerent employee anywhere. The fact that it's a Verizon employee makes it all the more shocking. We made an appt to come in to have our new phone set up ( we actually chose the drop down that said " phone set up" )and when we got there we were immediately told that they have spotty Wi-Fi, they are discouraged by corporate to set up peoples phones because it is so easy to do. That they just haven't done it in years for people, That we'd be there for an hour, et etc . Well we said, I'm sorry but the gentleman that purchased the phone has Parkinson's and needs assistance. I explained that not only did I just have my phone set up in a store the week before, but that more than one customer service rep on the phone told us we could go in store to get assistance. He then proceeded to tell me if we are going to own and use the phone we/he needed to learn how to do it on our own! I said , " ok mom" He then threw the tech support paper at us and told us tough, he just wasn't going to do it . We proceeded to another Verizon franchise store in Springhouse where a wonderful employee Jared took care of the entire thing and patiently explained to the gentleman with Parkinson's how to use the phone. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I also plan to follow up tomorrow on the corporate level and file a formal complaint with as many higher ups as humanly possible. I can see why this only has 1 star. The store layout is nice but 8/10 employees clearly would rather not be there. Although my request was simple and I was served in a timely matter, the associate was brash and not friendly at all. There are better, more inviting Verizon retailers in the area. The people I spoke with reaffirmed my expectation that when I pay good money for goods, I have every right to expect quality product and service, especially since the device was still under warranty. Absolutely the worst. I have a Small Business Account with eight Verizon phones on it. The back light on my son's iphone did not work. First they told me the phone was bent despite the fact it was housed in an Otter case and was perfectly straight as verified by a ruler being place on it that showed it to be perfectly straight. Next they told me it was out of warranty despite the fact it was only 11 months old. It was time for an upgrade on my IPhone 5, so I went to the Montgomeryville Verizon store on Bethlehem Pike to get the IPhone 6 and upgraded for $200. I had asked the salesman at that time if once I receive the phone in the mail, could I come back and they can help me transfer everything from my old phone to the new one and they said yes. I received the new phone about a week later and went back where I was told oh it is so easy to do it yourself. You go on youtube.com. Gave me a couple of vague instructions and I went home to do what he said. I am 61 years old and somewhat tech. savy but I'm not like my kids. My husband and I couldn't figure it out at all so I went back to the store, it was a girl this time. She said she could not help me and as they were not trained on IPhones to do this. I'm like don't you have any procedures here when people buy these phones? She said you can open your laptop (cause I took it back with me) and I'll try to help you. She could not figure it out either- I'm wondering if she can't do it, how am I supposed to do it. She walked away for a time and waited on somebody else to make a sale. I find all their staff very aloof and borderline rude. It is all about the sales there, they are very nice then -don't ever think you will get service, it's non-existent. So I figured I'll have to get my son to help me (IST guy) though I bought a cover for the back and a glass front cover from Verizon before I left. The girl tried to put the glass cover on that night twice, when I got in my car, I realized there were air bubbles all over the place on this first try, went back in the store and just caught her; she was getting ready to leave - she took the phone, went in the back and tried another one and there was one air bubble and a tiny one left. She said it would go away in 24 hours. I kind of knew she was BSing me. I was right - gave it 2 days, it was still there. Went back again, got a guy this time, same attitude- borderline rude and seem impatient with people like myself that are not real tech. savy. The guy said he could not put another one on but would give me one for free. I'm like how am I going to put this on if the girl who works here can't. He just blew me off stating sorry he couldn't do it. So I went over to my trusty Best Buy Verizon guys who sold me my IPhone 5. He wouldn't put on the one I had been given as it was a Verizon brand. I had to buy another one for $40 but the guy put it on while talking to me perfectly in like 5 min. No problem. My son and his wife helped me transfer everything from one phone to the other while watching a football game. I would have never figured it out for sure. When I went to return my old phone for the $200 at Verizon, the guy even acted impatient then as well. I really think the entire staff at that store should be trained in customer service 101 and especially in what I described above - transferring data to new phones for us old people or put a big sign up saying - we only sell here -no service rendered - check with a young relative. I went with my mom to help her out with upgrading to a new phone. My mom had an old iPhone she could trade in for $300. The salesman Brandon told us that there was a deal going on where u could get a Bluetooth speaker and a iPhone case for free with the trade in and upgrading the phone. This was actually not the case we were basically duped so that he could get commission on store accessories sold. Once I realized that no credit was made to the actual purchase of the new phone I went back to return all the "free stuff". He tried to apologize and said oh I forgot to mention it's not free. After returning it he told us that a paper check would be mailed w/ the refund??? Never heard of a refund u can't just credit the account back on in a billing system. But anyways after 8 weeks and not receiving any check my mom finally went back in there and demanded the rest of her $300 phone trade in credit. Next day it showed up credited on the vz account.... I have been to this store twice and like Cesare C., I have nothing but bad experiences due to the unaccommodating, ill-natured employees. The first time I went in to make a new account, I nearly walked into a group of employees standing at the entrance doing absolutely nothing. First bad sign. The topping on the cake was getting ignored by them until I told another employee trying to sell me cable that I was there for a phone. I had an employee reluctantly come to help me but throughout our conversation, he maintained a very cold, bored kind of attitude. He was not willing to explain anything but pricing or even consider letting me bring my phones into the plan and definitely wasn't about to give me any recommendations on the new phones I had to buy. His attitude didn't change until I whipped out my credit card to pay. He was suddenly a little more accommodating and then tried to offer me some discounts but by then I just wanted to get out of there. The second time I went to that store, I wanted to return the phone I previously bought because it was WAY slower than the Samsungs I'm used to. I feel like any proper rep would have steered me to a newer one rather than allowing me to pick a slower HTC because it was cheap. Once again I walk into a crowd of reps talking in the entrance. I walk past them, see nobody else in the store and then have to walk back to get one of them to even talk to me. I tell the rep I want to switch my phone. She cuts me off to look up my account. Tells me I have a balance. I KNOW THIS ALREADY. I will pay the balance once I get a new phone. Even though I was told I would be able to return my phones for just a $35 stocking fee, the rep tells me I will have to pay off the remainder of the HTC and then pay FULL price for the next phone I'm going to buy. Is it normal procedure for reps to only talk fees with customers in that store??? I tell her that's crazy and I walk out of there. At the moment, I wouldn't steer anybody away from Verizon because I went to the store in the nearby Montgomery Mall and was given SUPERB customer service by the gentlemen in the store who went above and beyond to give me a new Galaxy S6, while steering me from spending unnecessary money on the Edge, waiving fees and the balance on the phone I didn't want. I am satisfied with their services otherwise. Internet is fast enough, calls are clear and crisp and have never dropped even while driving. My only complaint would be that their plans are a little pricey. However, I would tell anybody who will listen NOT to go to this store on Bethlehem Pike where they pay employees to stand around all day to treat people like garbage. read more

I went to this store to replace a damaged phone on my account, ended up getting another iPhone and then asked if they would waive the "upgrade fee" since I wasn't upgrading but replacing a damaged phone which I am still paying for plus adding another new 2 year payment. I was told by the sales associate that they can't do that but to call customer service and they would since I was a long time customer with four phones. While waiting I called Verizon customer service and was then told that the fee had to be waived at the point of sale in the store. I shared this with the associate who then got Doug, the manager. Doug got on my phone with customer service and they went back and forth until Doug finally hands my phone back to me with no explanation. Customer service told me it would be the manager's choice whether to waive the fee and I asked Doug again if he would waive the fee. He said no and walked away into the back. Needless to say I was very disappointed with the lack of concern for my satisfaction as a long-time Verizon customer making a $600 purchase. Fortunately the person on the customer service line also felt the manager was being unreasonable and was able to get her supervisor to give me a credit on my next bill. If you want to be treated fairly and like a valued Verizon customer DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE!
