Went in last night (4/11/26 around 6pm) to buy a new iPhone since the one I had was in SOS mode and changing the SIM and resetting the phone wouldn't work. Not having cellular connection means you can't set up your new phone essentially. Nothing will work. I wish I remembered the names of the guys working there but they were so helpful and patient getting the issue resolved. There was one man who stayed past his shift, past closing time, just to ensure my new phone would be functioning and set up for me that night. He was on call with Xfinity for maybe an hour, if not longer. Everyone working that evening were so kind and understanding but he really stood out. Again, hate that I can't recall his name. AS LEAK!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT TRUST THE INSTALLATION WORKERS. Had dryer installed and our entire home was filled with gas. We had to call the gas company right away and they told us the dryer was installed incorrectly and it was so bad that it would have exploded our entire home. They even wrote us a report to file to the police. HORRIBLE. This isnt the first time we've had bad service/ installations, but this is definitely the most dangerous situation we've been in. How can you call these people professionals? Gas leak is one of the most common issues when installing a new dryer. ALSO there is no way to contact Best Buy corporate and the stores don't care. We had to put in a replacement order to which then they messed up AGAIN. Put in the wrong item order....... and we can't cancel because our home insurance company is requiring Best Buy to reconnect our gas. BUT if I want to purchase the $50 store "membership," they'll take it back and refund my $. Members have a longer return window, you see. Conversation went in predictable circles, as if the guy had a script running in his head. I almost feel sorry for him. He's probably fine in real life. Customer service told me they couldn't do anything about it because it was open box. I could return the TV if I wanted or I could buy a remote at a Best Buy store. I purchased a Corsair SF850L power supply from Best Buy about a year ago, and it was defective, so I took it to the Geek Squad to see if I could either get a replacement (it has a 7 year warranty), or store credit, because the sale of a defective product is a violation of consumer protection laws; however, Best Buy not only told me to take my power supply to another shop for repair, but they denied me on my offer for store credit or a replacement, despite the fact a replacement should have happened as it is under warranty. I was also told that if it were purchased within a week that I could've gotten a refund, but Best Buy denied to check the Serial Number of my product to check the purchase and warranty history on it. The Geek Squad worker also damaged my computer by unplugging the motherboard and CPU cables while the PC was still on, despite the fact it needs to be turned off and unplugged first. Would not recommend Best Buy even to my worst enemy. It was an 80$ power supply too, not exactly cheap. read more

Before I knew it they had the new machines upstairs and installed. They were polite and the machines are running now. Honestly, I used to enjoy going to this Best Buy as a kid 10 or so years ago. It always had a great selection of cds, movies and music dvds to look at. Now it dwindled down so much that they dont even sell cds here anymore and the movies is just a couple of aisles (which is a shame as this store holds the nostalgia of getting my first ever cd, the Gorillaz self titled album). I never usually shop electronics/appliances as it can get pricey but for Black Friday they have some decent sales. It's just a shame my Mom and usually have to skip it because it gets overbearingly crowded every year despite the good prices. Compared to other Best Buys I find that this store usually doesn't have what you are looking for. For example I'm looking for a new gaming laptop and I like the payment plans they have for the laptops but they seem to have it in stock and on display everywhere except Montgomeryville (this store). It didn't have the elgato game capture system either and none seemed to know what it was. That aside, it isn't a nessecarily a bad store. It's a large store, plenty of parking, you can find good merchandise here every now and then and the employees are helpful too. It also has a exclusive edition of a game releasing next month, which is a great incentive to buy it from here (if it carries it of course). Overall, I just wish that the prices were a tad cheaper and they had what I was looking for at this store more often. The lack of a real cd and dvd presence is a shame as well. It's still worth checking out, but it's not my top favorite Best Buy around. read more

Stopped at Best Buy to pick up a smart watch. (I bought the Samsung Galaxy.) I already knew what I wanted but finding some help was a little difficult. After apparently looking like I was in need of assistance an employee stationed by the door asked me did I need some help. He then requested for someone to come over to help me. The lady came over and asked what I needed and she went to get a key. (Since my item was locked up in behind a glass case). Anyway she went to another employee for the key then that person came over and asked me did I need help. I wondered why they switched up people for me and if so why didn't the first lady explain to the second lady what I wanted. Eventually I was able to get what I wanted and I left. The store is nice and has what you need, electronics-wise, but I would recommend improved customer service. read more

Asked for an unlocked phone. Girl checked and I paid 1200. Went back to make sure it was an unlocked phone before opening (to avoid the $45 restocking fee) and guy said yes. We opened It and it had an AT&T card in it and would not take another card. Third trip got the right phone. The girl was new, not sure about the second guy. I have tried for two days to contact someone at the store in which I made the purchase without any luck. Their customer service support is located overseas...I'm sure, I do not need to tell anyone how difficult that is. Speaking to a human anymore for good support is almost impossible. Been to this store several times and have called customer service. There's some type of disconnect between both, store doesn't see coverage under phone number, but BestBuy customer service confirmed several times that there's coverage It's looks like they just get paid to stand around. One manager asks questions, then grabs another manager, then that guy takes 30 minutes to get to you and bringing someone else's laptop, again. On Wednesday 7/14/21, I went to Best Buy to purchase a tablet laptop.  Frankly, I have not shopped Best Buy for a number of years because of bad in-store experiences.  I spoke with a salesperson about what was available and, because of his description of the Samsung S7+, I decided on that model at $850.00.  The Samsung display in the store had all the tablets available in various screen sizes.  The only product displayed with a keyboard was the S7+ that retailed for $200 more than the next size down.  I made the reasonable assumption(I  believe) that since the tablet was displayed with a keyboard, it was included with the tablet. I even mentioned to the sales staff during my decision process that the $200 difference the S7 and the S7+ must be because it included the keyboard on display with it(also the larger screen size) and he acknowledged that was correct. After getting the purchase home and unpacking it, I find there is no keyboard. I returned to the store right away and spoke with my salesperson who referred me to Customer Service.  I showed them the display and how that was the only tablet physically attached to a keyboard and no signage saying it was not included.  The woman at Customer Service acknowledged that the display was deceptive and not clearly marked that the keyboard was a separate purchase. She spoke with "store management" and returned informing me there was  nothing they could do for me and were very sorry. I was not looking for a free keyboard.  All I wanted was a discount on the purchase price of the now additional keyboard that sold for $129.00.  I was told that the only way that could happen is if the store had an open-box unit on hand and there was no such availability.  My purchased then amounted to nothing more than an $850 oversize cell phone. I'm not an unreasonable customer.  I understand that sometimes there  can be misunderstandings between customer and staff.  The  Customer Service staff agreed with the deceptive display but, again, were very sorry that there was absolutely nothing she or store management could do for me to correct the situation. Frankly, I find that totally unacceptable.  I have worked retail management for almost 40 years and NEVER treated a customer like this. Especially when I was able to show them the reason I made the assumption I did and they agreed that the display was misleading. I emailed store management directly and Best Buy corporate but have had zero response of any kind. Rest assured I will NEVER make another purchase from Best Buy and I am returning the tablet for a refund. Best Buy could have been flexible about this but chose not to be so they will lose an $850 sale instead of ensuring a happy customer who would have gladly returned for additional purchases. read more

Went here a couple months ago to buy a new TV. Already knew which one I wanted and went to this store because their website said they had it in stock. Took about 15 minutes to finally get the attention of a staff member to help me find it. He took me to a salesperson who said he could get it from storage, but he also tried to get me to buy a more expensive TV of the same size.
