(I have never paid for set up anywhere so didn't expect it.) Also was told of a TV streaming offer but not told it was it was the lower version with ads. When I was at the store to cancel this, it was never done. I had to call Verizon and pay the first month. When my grandson ordered his phone he did not receive the trade-in credit due him for several months due to the mishandling of the order by the salesman. Luckily the customer service representative on the phone was helpful with that. I still recommend Verizon, just not a franchise store.

This is my first negative review: Plaistow, NH Verizon store DOES NOT FOLLOW PROPER COVID-19…read morePROTOCOL and the employees all appear extremely unprofessional. I was greeted by a salesman upon entering but both my friend and I were having difficulty hearing him because although we were the only customers in the store, there was a group of 4 or 5 employees huddled around us laughing and joking extremely loud without a care other than socializing with each other, including the salesman who we put out of his way to interrupt his party time. We asked him several times why our bill hasn't decreased after our phones were paid off. He had no interest in looking into it other than stating "hmmm, you must've gotten some promotions", " good news is you are both eligible for over55 discounts" and " the old people are the ones with all the money ". HUH??? We finally stated "we keep asking you the same question and you are not answering our question, to which he replied, "well, you're shooting questions at me. Take your phones and go to T Mobile across the street or any other Verizon store, just go, Get out...Bye...I'm calling the police...bye". We went elsewhere and were helped within minutes with the correct information. Purchased our new phones/ accessories. Easy for us as well as other store. Gentleman at Hampstead location is educated in his job as well as respectful. He also followed proper virus protocol, unlike the plaistow store. I just don't understand how a business owner either allows his business to run like the circus I walked into or is so out of the loop of what's going on in his own business. His employees should learn that everyone is replaceable as well as every business can be brought down by bad employees. Plaistow store needs education in proper COVID-19 precautions (they had masks on and I wasn't as worried that nobody was wearing gloves as I am that he neglected to wipe down phones and was touching our phones after touching two other manhandled phones...ewww) as well as customer service and the difference between a place of employment vs. a college dorm room. T mobile and Hampstead Verizon seems to already know what Plaistow Verizon doesn't know. I believe that they also realize they are not the only provider around so their cocky attitude WILL eventually shut them down. CC: US CDC, NH STATE HEALTH, VERIZON CORPORATE (908) 559-2001

They are not well trained sales peoples and have an ignorance to how Vz plans and promotions work. I am currently working with Vz corporate to submit a complaint about this reseller. It is blatant disregard to what is right for customer and no regard for ethics. As an example of my last experience, one rep Said my bill would go down by upgrading multiple phones, but my bill went up by over a hundred dollars and because Vz rejected my trade ins, I have to pay $1600 to pay off all phones

TLDR Version - I believe the manager of this store intentionally confused my 73 year old father into purchasing a device from his store instead of using the brand new one I bought him from Apple. Put the hard sell on him and mentioned several times how he could save $40 buying from his store because no sales tax in NH. There is another review saying they took advantage of someone's elderly mom. Taking advantage of people who don't understand tech is predatory and just plain gross. I purchased an Apple Watch from Apple.com and had it sent to my father so he could connect it at his local store. I had called the store in Seabrook to make sure this was okay, and they said it would be no problem. For whatever reason my Dad decided to go to this location in Hampton. When my Dad brought the watch in they would not connect it for him. He called me and put me on the phone with the manager. The manager told me that connecting the brand new cellular enabled Series 7 AppleWatch that I purchased could not be added to my Dad's account because it wasn't a Verizon compatible device. He said that when I purchased the watch I should have specified which carrier I would be using. Anyone who has ordered from Apple knows that they don't even ask for this information. Whether you buy from their website or a brick and mortar, they sell you the item and your carrier sets up a line and connects it to your account. I have since contacted both Apple and Verizon corporate who confirmed that there is no such thing as a carrier specific Apple product be it phone, tablet, or watch. While the manager said he couldn't connect the watch my father had in hand, he was more than happy to sell him a watch himself and urged my Dad to return the brand new device I had already purchased. The icing on the cake is that after I hung up the manager told my dad that I yelled at him. What a tactless thing for him to say to a customer. Not to mention totally untrue. I was firm and pushed back when he gave me incorrect information but I did not raise my voice or become abusive. Not even a little. Not only is that not my style but I understand how customer service works. People are much more likely to help you if you don't resort to hysterics so I always keep my cool. If he can't handle a customer politely pushing back on information that is patently untrue, then frankly he shouldn't be working in a public facing position. So I'm still not sure what happened here. Either this store is incompetent, or when an older man who doesn't understand tech comes in they see dollar signs. Either way, just go to another store. There's another one right down the road.
