Can I give 0 stars? I mean seriously! This review is about the HORRIBLE service from the incompetent staff at the BrierCreek Verizon location in Raleigh, NC. These people lie, cheat, steal and pretend to act like they know what they're doing. They try to embarrass the customer. They are truly NO HELP WHATSOEVER!! We accidentally broke one of our cell phones beyond repair and I thought it would be a simple matter to handle because we pay for a protection plan on both of our phones which says you can get a replacement phone by paying a $100 deductible. Boy was I wrong! These snakes added a third phone number to my account even though we have 2 phones! Why do I need a 3rd number? I DON'T! I've been paying for a protection plan every month for 2 years only to find out it's worthless. We took our broken phone in to the BrierCreek Verizon store to trade for a new replacement phone per "the protection plan Promise'. Guess what??... That doesn't actually exist and Verizon NEVER honors it. It's a rip off. It's theft. It's a joke. THEY ARE A JOKE! They literally blamed Asurion (the protection plan company) for my broken cell phone not being covered. The people at the BrierCreek Verizon store said their hands were tied and they could NOT help us. They told us to drive across town to the Asurion store, which we did, to order our new phone, only to find out that ISN'T how it works! The people at Asurion told me Verizon does that all the time to their customers, trying to get out of honoring their commitment and basically throwing the responsibility onto someone else. The Verizon employees are either too lazy or too stupid (or both) to do their job. They are reminiscent of thieves who smile to your face while sticking a knife in your back. The ONE AND ONLY good thing I can say about Verizon is that the customer service division who answers the toll free phone calls are always there to listen and they do their absolute best to help you! These are strangers that you will never meet and yet they are the only ones who care and try the hardest to help the customers. Thank God for the customer service agents on the phone! read more

This is for the Verizon store in Brier Creek. I told him the phone I wanted to buy. He said, "Give me 15 minutes to check inventory," Then he took the next customer in line and 45 minutes later still hadn't checked inventory for the phone I wanted. This review is for THIS STORE, not all of Verizon, which is a different story. I've been in a few times, and the line is usually fairly long, but the service/resolution has been great. The first time I had a new (but used) phone that was having GPS and dropped call issues. They went through a list of items and ended up switching out my SIM card at no charge. Problem solved. Second time I had screen issues (but bought the insurance because this used phone looked like it might have more problems). Within 5 minutes they were sending me a new phone (which I got that week). People were very friendly and helpful, just try to go at off times, as the line can be long. read more

My fiancé upgraded to a new phone and paid out of pocket full cost for it. We got home and noticed a new line had been added to the account we didn't ask for with pending new charges that made no sense. Called the workers who assisted us and he said we just didn't understand the how courtesy Line charges worked (we didn't need a courtesy line). Turns out- they had added some complete stranger to her phone plan, his new number, and the charges for his bill!! We could see all of his info. We called Verizon help line they confirmed their mistake and set out to fix it. Do not recommend this store. I notified the worker who assisted us of the actual issue once we found out- not even an apology. I've used Verizon stores for years and never had an issue until THIS store. read more

This location has been hit or miss. Today was a big miss! Just needed to have a question answered, but when the manager became free she said she couldn't help me because someone who came in after me had an appointment ( understandable). She put me on a list and said when another person was free they would help me. Nope! When another person became free, he said he had to act as a manager and be free to take peoples name to add to the waiting list and that I could have a seat. After that, another guy came in and he helped him answer questions, so I still waited for him to finish. When he finished he just ignored me and walked away and so I told him to take me off the list and left. At no point were more than five customers in the store and no other customer had to wait at all, but I was never waited on. Very frustrating visit! read more

My husband (who is the most patient person in the world) just came home from this store very upset. He spent close to 45 minutes there waiting to be greeted/acknowledged/helped. When he first entered the store they were busy so he patiently waited to be helped. Eventually all of the customers were gone and the TEN people that were working still did not help him. My husband is super nice and did not approach them asking to be helped because he has worked customer service and he should have been greeted. He is very upset that he wasted 45 minutes of his life and that out of ten employees not a single person greeted him or helped him. I received an email from verizon saying that I could trade my iPhone 4 for an iPhone 6 for FREE, which got me into the store. Only to find out that I wasn't eligible (Strike 1!) BUT could do the EDGE program which is a deferred payment plan for the iPhone. I needed to upgrade so I reluctantly agreed based on the fact that I would receive the phone by a certain date. I was told "you'll probably receive it before" that date. However, on that date I found out that that was the SHIP date and not the date in which I would actually receive it. (Strike 2!!) Now the SHIP date has been pushed out another week. (Strike 3!!!) This is example of DECEPTIVE sales not just from Verizon but also from the staff at this store. Wireless stores are wireless stores. The customer service at this store isn't the greatest, and the staff are far off from being enthusiastic. My boyfriend went in for an upgrade from his Android to an iPhone 4, and it took about 45min to get it all straight. The store associate seemed new and a bit clueless in response to some basic questions. The phone accessories available in here -- you can get much cheaper on Amazon (just an FYI). Edit: I was contacted one of the employees who sincerely apologized for our lengthy experience -- which I appreciate. Hopefully, service will be faster for future customers. read more

We went for my sons phone and although we had to wait - one of the gentleman there grabbed all of us waiting and put us at different stations and then they got to us one by one. We just needed a new SIM card and that was quickly replaced and we were on our way. read more

Went in to replace a phone not working. Store seemed to be understaffed, but that's not a huge deal. When it did come my "turn", the guy that was supposed to help me come over with ear buds in. I asked him several questions, and the most complete response I received was it probably won't work very well, others included "I don't know" and "I think so". No effort at all to try and get an answer. My final question was are there any discounts or programs for new phones. "Nope" was the answer there. I walked out and was disappointed enough I went back in to speak with the manager. After explaining to him the lack of customer service I was provided, he told me to have a nice day...which was fine because no amount of discussion could have brought me to spend a nickel in that store. Complete waste of time and very disappointing. I always try and use brick and mortar stores but will not be using this one again. Was able to order a new phone online and the person over chat was much more helpful than anyone in this store and was able to answer all of my questions. Do yourself a favor and find a different Verizon store to go to or use the chat or 1-800 number. ** while the apology is appreciated, after reading other reviews it's obvious this is an ongoing issue with this location that has yet to be addressed. Very disappointed with my experience there yesterday. I was looking to upgrade my phone and lower the cost per month of my iphone data plan (which I was paying way too much for). I talked to an associate named Doug about options. He only gave me one option- add a device and pay about 15 dollars less per month. Sounds pretty good, right? The only problem was that I didn't want to add a device and I explained that clearly to him. I ended up leaving the store to consider the "discount" he offered. When I got home, I went to verizon online to compare plan prices. It turns out that they had a deal attached to my account that was 50 dollars less than I'm paying now, for just the iphone. This is what I asked for yesterday. I can only assume that this store chose not to tell me about this deal because they were interested in getting a higher commission. In any case, as much as I've always had a good experience with Verizon, I will not be returning to this location. I recommend going straight to the verizon website and skipping the middle man. read more

As soon as the representative knew I wasn't going to provide them with any commission they tried to get me out of the store as quickly as possible with little effort to actually help me as a Verizon paying customer. Before even looking at my phone at all they incorrectly diagnosed the problem, failing to listen to my description let alone look into the issue for themselves. If I could offer zero stars, I would. The customer service I received tonight is absolutely horrid. I have been a long time customer of Verizon for several years but I left about 2 years ago due to their terrible customer service. I came back about a year ago because although I found better customer service elsewhere, Verizon still has the best cell service. When I came back last year, they royally screwed up my account which took forever to correct with several trips back to the store and on the phone. After several attempts, they supposedly got my account straight and although I was not happy, I just let it go as they were at least willing to work with me to correct their mistakes. When I originally came in, we were supposed to have insurance on both mine and my wife's phones as well as a tablet. I recently recieved a crack on my screen. I call Asurion to find out, they never put insurance on the phone and now they cannot add it. The only option I have is to pay for it out of pocket or buy a new phone (which mine is more than 50% paid for and I would have to start all over). The "manager" came up with several excuses as to how it was my fault and pointed the fault right back at me. I not only gave them my original business at this location but came back to add another phone as well as purchased another tablet within the past year. I do believe this is a newer manager (Cherri Johns) and will not return do to her. read more

This is some of the absolute worst customer service I've experienced. The woman who was supposed to be assisting me was so busy in other people's conversations with their customers that she couldn't even complete assisting me. I had several questions about my account and my devices but she could not even focus long enough to answer them thoroughly. Also, the item that I purchased which is the third charger that I've had to purchase for this particular device since I've had it, she left on the back counter and didn't even give it to me without me having to ask her for it after I paid for it. She handed me my receipt and when I asked for a bag she gave me a look of disdain and then told me that the bags are huge. She did eventually give me a bag and halfway answered my questions but I didn't get to ask all of the questions that I had because I was just so frustrated at all of the employees side conversations making them unable to focus on the customers that are before them. I will drive to another store even if it's 50 miles out before I come into this store again. read more

I walked in the store and was politely greeted by Ryan. Asked me how he could assist me. I told him I was looking for a new phone and I had some criteria that the phone had to meet. ryan showed me a couple of different phones and explained the advantages and disadvantages of each phone. I had narrowed it down to 2 phones and with his input I found the phone I wanted. He then asked me if I wanted to donate my old phone. He gave me a good value for my old phone. He then asked me if I had thought about any accessories and should me the different accessories for my new phone. Ryan did a great job in helping me find what would work best for me. Service in the others were bad dreams with condescending attitudes of some employees. Worst customer service I have encountered for a while. We were greeted twice and told to wait when it wasn't even busy. When finally we got the attention to help our issue, the manager treated us like she was doing us a favor. Heads up, we are the paying customers! We have been satisfied with Verizon for the most part, but today we were really considering switching networks. You are better finding at the very least another location. Also, don't chew gum and lose focus when speaking to a customer. read more

Came in, was not crowded. Told it would be 20 minute wait. Customers laughing and talking with "service" people, but no one ever actually finished. After 45 minutes, someone came over and told me it would be "20 minute wait." So I guess that's consistent, right? After an hour and 10 minutes, I explained my problem: trouble with phone screen. Employee told me to wait, because the person behind me had a quick question. That took another 20 minutes. Employee answered phone, and actually spent 10 minutes helping person on phone while I stared at her. So now it has been more than 90 minutes. When I explained the problem, employee was honest: "I don't know much about Galaxy phones. You should just call Tech Support. Here, you can use our phone. I'll check back." I asked why, if I had to do it over the phone, I shouldn't just call Tech Support on the phone from home in the first place. She was honest: "You probably should!" So, let that be your guide: Do ANYTHING you have to do not to go to this store. They don't care. They are the phone company; they don't have to! read more

The Verizon customer support and Asurion customer support both told me to go in store because that would be the next step and all they said was "sorry we can't help with this you will have to call Asurion". Went into the store to handle changes on 5 lines on our account. We wanted to get it all taken care of at once. Even backed up our phones before going in. When we got there we were told that they could not actually transfer a phone number out of contract to a phone that was still under contract. Even though customer service and another store told us that they could. So after a very frustrating conversation we left. We were ready to actually leave Verizon after 15 yrs with them. So I called customer service back today and they tell me that yes, they could have done that in the store. They said the associate was "being lazy". So I called the store back and spoke with a manager named Chris and he tells me that customer service is wrong! So they both work for Verizon but can't agree on what a store can and can not do! I tend to believe customer service since it wouldn't put them out any and they were ready to take care of it for me. I tend not to believe the associate who realizes that it's not a new sale and they won't get any commission on it. Very rude, both the associate and the manager. The only one that was helpful was customer service. Customer Service even told me not to go back to that store! So if you are considering going to this location, I wouldn't! Be ware of their dishonesty. 1. Took the wife's iphone4 due to it's known home key sticking issue. 2. A lady their looked at it for few mins and acknowledged the problem and offered warranty replacement under our extended warranty. (AT this time, nobody said or aware of charge port having some rust OR did the phone have problems charging) 3. We get the replacement phone and returned the original phone back. 4. Later gets email saying phone has water damage on the charge port and we will be charged $299! 5. Called 800 customer service to complain about the incident. What's really upsetting is that now the store manager has changed the story and indicated to 800 customer service that they have advised of the charging port and we may get damaged fee charge. THIS IS TOTALLY FAULTY. Both of us were present when we dropped of the phone and nobody made such statements. Really, really upsetting this store is coming out this way rather then being honest about what happened!!! Please think twice before visiting this particular store and try other store first. read more

i went to the store to upgrade my son's phone. They told me there would be a 30 minute wait and 3 people were in front of me. Everybody was waiting for the one associate who was doing the upgrades or new phones. There were 3 associates "working" who I assume were unable to do anything useful because they were standing behind registers while we were waiting for the one person who actually knew what he was doing. After 20 minutes and seeing no progress (i.e. many people were still waiting), I asked if someone else could help, and the woman said "No sir, I told you there was a 30 minute wait". I said "How many are in front of me?". She said "4" - now how did i go from 3 to 4! I went home and did it online. If customers are expected to do this online, shouldn't a Verizon customer services associate be able to do so! And if they cannot, why did the manager hire them in the first place? This store is so mismanaged, it is pathetic. I have always had a long wait here - maybe all the VzW stores suck. I am going to try a different one next time. Stay away from this store. read more
