EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My iphone 4s was driving me insane due to a number of issues that recently occurred... I had, on my own, tried to do a major exorcism on this device to get it back to working order to no avail. I went into this store and less than an hour later I walked out with an amazing deal.... upgrade to the 5... and a great trade in on my 4s! I came in this weekend expecting to have bad customer service with even worse changes to my current phone plan...I was surprisingly wrong! Ryan helped my husband and I, we wanted to know more about the changes in plans at Verizon and what they could offer me since I was eligible for an upgrade. I got the iPhone 6 for $50 upfront for taxes and then it's $2.00/month (for 24 months, just like a normal contract). That's crazy!!! I normally would've paid around $230 upfront for my upgraded phone. But I'm only paying around $100 total for my brand new phone and I got to keep my same plan! Wow!! I was very happy with my service from Ryan, he explained all my questions and made sure we got what we wanted and help me set up and transfer all my data/photos/storage from my old phone to the new one. I'm shaking after my experience. They didn't want to help me, were behaving in a hostile way from them beginning, and when I explained that the account holder didn't know I was trans and can't know, and that legally he can't tell them, he said "if your going to talk about legal stuff you need to leave my store" he calmed down for a second and then told me that I needed to put down my /legal/ name (he went out of his way to say this because he was hoping it would cause me problems​​​​​​​​​​​​​) and I said "hey you guys have been really hostile this whole time" he said "No we haven't" and I said "honestly yes you have, would you let me explain to you why I feel disrespected?" (He knew perfectly well, but I was trying to calm him down by using nonviolent communication) He then angrily told me to leave his store. I truly don't understand. They had started off by shaming me for using a used verizon phone instead of buying one from them. I think they genuinely enjoyed it, like I think they were being sadistic for fun. Went in for a new iPhone, as mine was broken. I asked about the iPhone 6, 6 plus, or 6s, and was told that they were all discontinued and my only option was the iPhone 7. I later called Verizon customer service and was told that there were definitely options for the iPhone 6 that would have been available. So this visit started with being blatantly lied to by the staff (Taylor) helping us. We were then told about this amazing plan that would upgrade our family plan to 8G of data PLUS a FREE tablet. I asked if the plan would be any cheaper if we chose to NOT take the tablet, and was told that since it was absolutely FREE it would not make any difference. I chose to go with the iPhone 7, the 8G of data, and the FREE tablet. I was asked if I wanted a screen protector and said yes- and instead of choosing the one I wanted he took one out of the box and put it on my phone while I was looking over the paperwork. I would not have chosen a $40 screen protector. I paid $162 for fees, a case, and the screen protector that I did not want. When I got home and checked my bank account there were TWO charges taken out of my account. Come to find out, they opened a new line of service for the tablet that I was NEVER told about. I could see on the bill that there would have been an extra $10 monthly, but was NEVER told about the $108 for opening a new line for the tablet. I went back the next day and talked to the manager who was very kind and understanding. I was able to return the tablet and the screen protector and my money was refunded. During this visit, the sales staff who helped us the day before (Taylor) came over and repeatedly argued about the charges until the manager told him he needed to walk away. I cannot believe how incredibly pushy and rude he continues to be. If it weren't for the professionalism and understanding of the manager my family would have taken our business to another carrier. I am incredibly disappointed in the hassle, misinformation, and blatant lies I encountered in trying to get a new phone. I will only work with a manager when I go back to this branch. read more

We were queued up outside of because of Covid and Amber M. worked her way through each customer providing them help while waiting in line. I went into the store at Renton Landing today right when the store opened already super frustrated and a bit grumpy because my Iphone had died the night before. I was in sort of a panic because I was expecting very important calls and meetings and had no way to contact anyone because my phone had bit the dust. Tony, my shining star, was so patient and didn't let my frustration or grumpiness get to him looked over my phone and assessed it was indeed dead and not returning back to the living. He said he would order a new one and get it to me tomorrow. I said that's great but was still in a panic about today's need and he did the unimaginable and found a temporary phone for me to use just for today and saved me!!! My general impression about their corporate stores is a very negative one. I never look forward to going into the stores. They are staffed with some fairly incompetent people who have in my mind replaced used cars sales people. Now that's saying a lot. I'm not sure opening more stores is good for business when most of my experience with stores have been negative. I'd rather just order over the phone off work with Costco and Best Buy. read more

I bought a battery case from Verizon a few months ago. Only did I recently find out that the battery case wouldn't allow my phone to connect to my new car's system. Having already thrown the receipt away, and not having an account, ADRIAN was able to help me get an exchange by working with the statement off of my credit card account! He was super nice and friendly! I couldn't quite decided between two cases, and he was able to help me figure which one would be better. Now, I am extremely happy that I have been able to exchange a defective case for a new one that works for my phone and car system. I came into the store today to change our family plan. The rep "helping" us out was very unenthusiastic, did not make eye contact, and overall, sent a message through his body language and tone that we were a bother to him. It also didn't help that he signed us up for a 10gb family plan, when he didn't even tell us other options or look at our previous data usage (which would show that on average our family doesn't use more than 4gb month.) Wasn't a huge fan of Verizon to begin with and after the poor customer service I experienced at this store today, I can assure you I will definitely not be returning here in the future. read more

Super disappointed. My boyfriend and I were sent here from the wonderful people at the Southcenter store because they had the phones we wanted to upgrade too (the iPhone 5s, 32gigs). When we got there the manager kinda just looked at us like we were bothering him. After he asked my boyfriend what he wanted and got him checked in, he went back to what he was doing without acknowledging me (this wouldn't be a problem, but we are on completely separate plans). I asked him that i wanted a new phone too and he said "aren't you two together? cause i will just give you one rep and they can help you both". Then we sat.. and sat.. and sat.. for what was originally told only 20mins. There was only two reps working, and the manager. I am not sure what the requirement for a manager is or what their job description is but when there are over 8 people in your store and you are closing in an hour I would assume you would like to help out your reps. Anyway, my boyfriend went up and asked how much longer (after waiting for a total of 45mins) and the manager said "well there are three people in front of you... would you like to make an appointment?". I'm not complaning for having to wait, thats a given, but when your manager doesnt DO anything to help or you dont even let us know when we walk in how many people are ahead of us that makes me not be a huge fan of your customer service. We will not be returning to this location in the future simply due to the lack of customer service. Very, Very disappointed. read more

This is only wireless store I will deal with! From the first day they opened they have had the best custimer service of ANY wireless store I've ever visited. I've been in and called several times for help & technical advice for my Blackberry. They are always 'over the top' with customer service. One guy even gave me the earloop off his jawbone when mine broke, so I wouldn't have to wait for Jawbone to mail me a new one. They are the BEST! Love you guys!!! read more

Fiiiinnnaalllyyy... picked up my I Phone 7 Plus on Saturday. No fault of Verizon's as I lived with my 5c as long as I could. Walked in and was greeted immediately and in fact helped immediately by an associate. Want to say his name was Dave but easily could have been Mike. Dave was extremely knowledgeable about all of the phones and specifically the phone I was interested in. He looked at all options to keep the cost affordable and put me on a monthly payment plan for the phone which is standard for the plan that we are on. All my info was transferred to my new phone through I cloud and I was in and out of there in less than 30 minutes. I love my new phone and even got a text from this specific store 2 days later asking if everything was up to expectations and if I had any questions. Only reason I can't go 5 star ever for Verizon is because the monthly service is so expensive but this experience was great. read more

I was planning on switching to Verizon from AT&T, I planned to do the 300 dollar trade in promotion. I walked in and was told rudely my phones were worthless without even helping me with my order or putting the phones into the promotion in the system. I ended up having to just go to the Bellevue location and was helped without issue, the rep at the Bellevue location said he heard a lot of bad things about the Renton location so i guess they have a reputation for awful service. read more

I went in today for my upgrade . The online appointment worked great. I was in and out in 35 minutes with the phone I wanted including an otter box case . I highly recommend using the appointment as a time saver. Some of the previous reviews scared me but this was my 2nd good experience there. Each visit varies with professionalism. Employees seem fairly knowledgeable of their products. Wait times at this location can vary from very long to very short. I honestly am highly considering a different company that will listen to me and have coverage in my area. My phone receives half a bar to a bar for reception. I honestly despise family plans as they have the security set to high. I've been denied service a few times because I don't have access to the account. Even though it's set up to be that way. They even denied me service a few times even with the creator of the account with me. They waited outside to see if they would offer me service. They did not and felt awful when I went outside to the car to get the creator of the account. I am terminating my phone with the family plan and finding a company that has better coverage to my home town. Perhaps one that will listen to me. read more

I have not had the best experiences at this store. Frustrating and irritating would be the two words to describe my visits to this location. I do not believe I will be going back here after our contract expires. We have a family plan with four phones on it. Every time I went into this store by my self I'm not even allowed to view, look or add phones to our family account. Even after they checked my id, gave them the password and put the creator of the account on my phone. I've been into this location three times over the last year by my self and received this behavior each time. I've noticed the only time they treat me with "respect" is when the creator of the account is with me. I will be going back to the south center location as their customer service is better and more reasonable. The wait time is longer but well worth it. read more

Useless staff. Walked in on a simple mission: Get an international SIM card for my work phone. Checked in with the guy up front and gave him my phone number, who said "No problem, we can handle that." Waited around for 20 minutes while they helped everyone in front of me. Whatever. Finally got to speak with a representative and when he looked up my phone number and saw it was a business account "Oh, sorry, we can't help you with that, you have to have an account administrator present, and then we can SHIP you one." As if they don't have a few in stock - good heavens, we're right across the street from Boeing and I bet they do international stuff all the time. Refused to swap out my SIM card or really give me any help at all. OK so whatever, Verizon is just like Comcast, they're all big corporations with no understanding of customer service or flexibility BUT you know what would have been really nice? If the goofy dude who checked me in had bothered to look up my account and tell me they couldn't help. Then I wouldn't have wasted half an hour there. But no, I had the privilege of waiting for half an hour just to find out they can't actually do anything for you. Terrible customer service right there. read more

I like the location of this particular store (mainly because I'm at The Landing so often) and I just want to give a special shout out to Jesse who helped my fiance with his upgrade. He was having the weirdest problems with his new phone and Jesse was just so patient, knowledgeable and helpful through the whole thing. I went to upgrade my phone. The wait was about 15 minutes. After that it went down hill. Sales rep couldn't figure out how to delete my online order. He walked to the back multiple times leaving once for 15 minutes and I finally called Verizon on my cell and cancelled my pre-order myself which took all of 2 minutes. This was 50 minutes after he said my manager is still busy and I can't get through online. Clearly no knowledge. Very slow and not service friendly. Find a rep you like there and stick with it. They have a fairly high turnover rate it seems and poor customer service. read more

The first time was to replace my phone and the 2nd time, I went there looking at some new phones and I spoke w/ Ahmed (think I spelled his name right) and it was Oct and I wasn't due for my new phone (new phone every 2 yrs) until about a year later...He said if I came back in jan (can't remember why I had to wait till then), he'd hook me up w/ the 2 yr price....So, I came back recently and true to his word, I got the 2 yr contract price. Excellent service from Kevin on Monday, Sept 28, 2015. I added a line to my existing account. He was funny, easy, and courteous. The only negative comment (which was not his fault) was that the phone that we wanted (the new Galaxy S6 Edge Plus) wasn't in their inventory anymore (ran out). But Kevin and his manager (Scott?) called a nearby store (Southcenter) and was able to coordinate with them to pick up and set up our phone the same night. Minor inconvenience. I needed to switch phone services from sprint and there was an issue transferring my number over because of a storm on the east coast. These guys can't control the weather, but they spent hours trying their best to fix the situation. They gave me my phone for almost nothing due to the trouble. This store has always been very friendly and helpful. (With wonderful service also comes long lines, at times, so make sure to go at off hours) My phone broke for no apparent reason, three months after I bought it. We're talking possessed phone, if it's not locked: dialing the wrong friends, adding spaces randomly while I'm texting, flipping through the calendar while resting on the table. Just a real bummer. (I have a Chocolate Touch btw, and this is apparently the first instance of its kind) I brought it down to the store to see what they could do for me and Nick replaced it on the spot, free of charge. Of course, they had to ship it to me. I asked if it would come in under two weeks... yes, it should ship out tomorrow. I asked if I would have to bring it back down to the store to have all of my contacts re-added to the phone... no, I can download them all offline. I don't think service can get much better than that... read more

If I could put 0 stars I would. My boyfriend and I went into this branch the other night, his phone got stolen and needed to get him a new one. I don't recall the sales persons name but he was very pushy and rude and didn't explain anything. My boyfriend wanted to get the same phone he originally had the droid turbo 2. At first the sales man said they could order it in, but after my boyfriend and I took a look at the phones they had in store, the salesman told us it was DISCONTINUED. He said it would be $30+ tax upfront, to walk away with a new phone. When we went to pay, it was almost 100, after tax because he never cared to DEFINE what he meant by taxes. Otherwise we would've picked a cheaper phone. After that, he kept pushing the "bundle deal" for a screen protector, case, and car charger. For 84.99. I tried telling my boyfriend all he needs is a good otterbox for 50, but EVERYTIME I tried talking the salesman over talked me and became very nosy and pushy about the bundle deal. And after we payed for the "bundle deal" and left he actually charged us $100. Probably on commission, after we pay this phone off, Verizon has lost us as a costumer. read more

Verizon is awful - just awful. Truly a scummy, greedy corporation with the most cynical attitude toward their customers. We made a simple change to our account - removing a family member's line. Verizon being Verizon, of course they used this as an opportunity to remove our unlimited plan without telling us and replace it with 2GB of data per person. (We later got this up to 20GB - at full price). After extensive calling, we found out they won't give back the unlimited plan under any circumstances. Went to this location to get the iPhone 6 because I was due for an upgrade. The sales rep then tried to sell us on Verizon Edge (I wasn't interested because I have enough money to pay upfront and I'm not stupid enough to fall for a monthly subscription that ends up costing more in the long-run). As it turns out, the Verizon Edge plan comes with a $25 monthly discount. Yet.. this discount would replace the $25 monthly discount they gave us for not switching(!?!) This means that we would pay the full price of the phone (in this case, $850) over the course of two years, while being locked into a contract the entire time. What kind of math-deprived idiots do they think their customers are? The only reason to stay with a despicable company like Verizon is because you're locked into a contract or because you get "free" upgrades. In a baffling move, they've managed to negate both these factors for me. In other words, there's no discount when you upgrade after two years. And, in turn, there's no point to staying with Verizon. Please, if you have any choice in the matter, go with any other provider. T-Mobile has plans that don't lock you into a contract and cost much less. read more

For my birthday this year, my family took me to Verizon in the Landing to pick up my 1st smartphone! I was so excited (having looked up phone reviews for the past few weeks) I had finally picked a phone I thought would work well for my needs. Unfortunately, in my excitement, I'd forgotten how terrible every other visit to this particular store had been. I've been there 5 or 6 other times with varying degrees of awful experience. I walked in to see the same horrible, shorthaired, lady (who had ruined 4 of my other visits with her know-all attitude and condescending tone) signing people in. Luckily, I didn't have to deal directly with her. Sadly, the woman I did end up with was worse in different ways. After asking if I knew which phone I wanted, she asked "What made you chose THAT phone? If you don't mind my asking..." I explained it had good reviews on the sites I checked, seemed to fit my needs well, and happened to be free with a 2 year contract renewal! Without a word, she rolled her eyes and disappeared into the back for about 10 minutes returning with a big box full of nonsense add-ons to try upping the purchase. Having worked in retail, I'm quite familiar with 'up-selling'. The way this woman tried to accomplish an increase in sale was disgusting... She had a very quiet, composed demeanor when she told me we should definitely get insurance on the phone because it was "a model on it's way out, that's why it's free". When we declined insurance, she said there would be nothing she could do if the phone was damaged or stolen (which I'm well aware of). I'm overly cautious with phones so I told my parents not to worry. She continued to try and scare my parents into "necessary" things to keep my phone from falling into ruin before the warranty was up. Then, (during a short break in her onslaught) when she was scanning everything into the system, my dad mentioned that in a few months when another contract is up for renewal he might get the same phone (because he liked the look of it and was trying to cheer me up). The lady glanced up and said "THAT phone probably won't be here. The model is out dated, that's why it's free." After realizing we wouldn't buy anything else, she had my mom sign a paper and said someone else would finish helping us... There are two things that upset me most about this entire encounter. First, her attitude toward my family was unacceptable. Intimidation and insults are not proper ways to get more sales! Second, my younger sister went in recently and purchased the new iPhone 6 for the full price. The people who help her are kind and friendly whenever she goes in... Is it common practice, to degrade and demean the clients getting free phones? My parents have been with Verizon for a while, and the same situation seems to happen every time. My sister is high energy and very outgoing. I'm shy and a bit reserved, but I'm ALWAYS friendly. I don't think our difference in personality should mean that she gets 5 star treatment, while I'm shoved in a corner and insulted. This woman ruined my birthday, and treated my parents like simpletons. I'm trying my damnedest to find any other option so I don't have to deal with these "quality customer-service representatives" ever again... read more

I used to live in Renton and have since moved to West Seattle however the closest Verizon store to me would be Tukwila I would drive out of my way to go to this store as I typically had THE BEST SERVICE. HOWEVER, that has greatly changed. Back in August my phone of almost 2 years was breaking down on me so I went in for a replacement device. The replacement they sent me was a broken phone as well. I once again returned to the Renton store to be helped by a gentleman who seemingly wanted to 'help' and be done. He sent me out with a LG G5 phone and Elipsis tablet both of which had issues within days of the upgrade. Once I went back in for a FOURTH time I made a scheduled appointment with Lacey who was very helpful and accommodating as well as honest about sales and devices looking to get me something I was happy with not something she was forced to sell. The whole situation at this point was very confusing for all involved as there were about six hands in the 'cookie pot' at this point. Lacey returned the LG G5 and Elipsis at the managers approval and assured me that my bill would be 'normal' as we found similar devices to replace those with at the same cost. My next bill did seem to be high but given that I had just upgraded and therefore was paying for new devices I understood. Once I paid off that bill and Octobers bill came I once again felt it was very high, sadly I paid over the phone and was not able to get a proper breakdown of my bill. Once I was able to sit down and look I noticed I was being charged monthly fee's for the LG G5 and Elipsis tablet that I 'owned' for 2 days. I went in and spoke with the manager and a team member named David who assured me that all charges would be refunded and all 'early termination fees' would be removed. A week later I received my bill and in fact there were no changed made to my account. I went in to the store on November 27th ONCE AGAIN and spoke with the person in charge that day as the manager was out. He assured me he would 'get it handled' and 'phone me by Monday' to let me know the status. HE FAILED TO DO THAT. Not only am I considering leaving Verizon all together after being a customer for 10 years but I would not recommend ANYONE to go to this store as there clearly is a disconnect and they seemingly just want to 'help' and get you out of there. I had to call cooperate to have them handle the situation as it was too much of a burden to place on the RENTON location to correct THEIR mistake. We shall see what January brings because if it is anything like August-December with Verizon I'm OUT! GOOD LUCK HERE!! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. Walked in for a new phone as mine was totally broke. I was on friends family plan but turned out my friend was ending their contract with Verizon. So I decided to look into getting my own account. The rep "Blaze" (pretty sure his name is Anthony but his name tag said "Blaze") told me my phone upgrade would transfer onto the new account, but it didn't so I walked out without a phone, no plan, not have signed anything or paid anything. Went to AT&T, got a phone and new line and found out when I went to port my line over that "Blaze" had actually SIGNED ME UP FOR A LINE I DIDN'T APPROVE. Verizon said the line would be deleted as soon as the number was ported over. Number was ported, and a month later I get a bill for $110 for a phone and line that doesn't exist for something I never signed up for. Now I am wasting my time talking to Verizon and the store trying to get this fixed. "Blaze" is incompetent, signed me up for a phone line without my consent, and now I'm wasting my time trying to fix this a month later. Verizon, I'm so glad I left you. We arrived at the store to be greeted by an overwhelmed man with an ipad. Normally I feel bad for people who are overwhelmed but the store was no where near capacity. He told us we had to wait 45 minutes so we went to get lunch. When we got back he told us we missed our turn and he didn't been put is back in the Que so now the wait would be over an hour. He then informed other disgruntled customers that he would have to step away often to check things so please don't be mad. Guess what, we are all mad at this point. Normally I have patience but my step mother was with a recent leg injury so we can't stand there for over an hour. Verizon get some chairs and some better customer service. Sprint has great deals right now and te way you guys made me feel, I have half a mind to switch. Verizon is incompetent and rude, can't say I'll be back to this location.
