Needed to get a simple process done on my phone, and was told "we're not set up to do that, sorry." and suggested I go to another retailer miles away. When I told them that all they had to do was call corporate to verify my ID, all of a sudden they were "set up to do that." If I could give zero stars I would. Check your bills and contract because this staff will scam you. They'll add accessories and protection plans on lines that are not used. T-mobile gives sales incentives to the staff for them to upsell you, and if you say no, they'll add it anyways without your knowledge or permission. Seriously sleazy people. read more

Let me start by saying I am not a T-Mobile customer. A friend of mine had questions about his bill, after going to other local T-M stores and getting conflicting information by phone customer service, he was about to switch providers. Needless to say, Cheyenne O, was kind, knowledgeable, and extremely professional. She not only answered all his questions, but got him a brand new phone, case, and screen protector, and managed to save him $40 per month, Transferred all his files & apps to the new phone, and after a short 30 minutes, we were out the door, phone in hand, and a big smile on his face. From the rep in store we were told you get two lines plus 1800 credit for devices and accessories so we got a new phone and paid taxes on everything including charging cords the rep charged us for without asking but when the first bill arrives its triple what we were told it would be and by the time we contacted the store they said not our problem call customer service and customer service directed us back to the store. This store is so amazing! I recently switched from ATT and Khang helped me out. All of the reps were very kind and welcoming to my family and I. They helped me gather all of my new phones and worked within my budget. Not trying to be pushy or anything that other stores do. They were all well informed about the products and plans, allowing me to have options. My service at home has been more than amazing. Before when I had ATT, I would have NO service. I went into the Renton store on a Sunday at 11:50am to switch to T-mobile from another carrier. The phone was mailed to my house and I had moved my data on it and I just needed my phone number to be moved. I waited an hour for help. I watched several people come in, wait half an hour and leave. There was a gentleman who greeted us halfway in and I told him I just needed to move my number. Finally at 1pm someone became available to help us. I went to the register and started asking about the magenta plan. That person didn't seem to know know what the details of the magenta plan was and told me to register an account and look online. When it was time to move the number he asked for my former service carrier account number and pin. I had the pin because when I ordered my phone from the T-mobile store in Southcenter they told me I needed it but they never told me I needed the account number. I assumed my phone number would suffice. I had gotten my PIN number earlier that week when my former service carrier dropped my service (I don't know how they knew I had switched) and the SIM card the T-mobile rep gave me would not work on my locked phone. I had not yet received my new phone. Anyways, I wished that when that rep had greeted us earlier and I had told him I needed to move my number, he had said I needed my account number and pin. I could have gotten that during my one hour wait. I had to call the former service company to get the account number. The gentleman who had been helping me moved on to help another customer. It took the former phone company 10minutes to give me my account. I was finally ready and told the service rep in front of me. The customer he was now helping was right beside me at the register. At that point I was in the store for about an hour and a half. I patiently waited a few minutes then I looked around and saw another T-mobile rep standing behind him. I interrupted him and asked him if that young lady could help me instead. No one seemed happy to want to help me. I moved over to her register, and started the process of moving my number. She had to open up my brand new case to replace the original phone's SIM card and when she put it back in - there was dust and bits of plastic inbetween the case and phone. Overall, it wasn't a pleasant experience switching carriers. If you plan to switch carriers and move your number on a Sunday afternoon please budget about two hours and don't put the new case on the phone just yet. Also be prepared for your current phone service to drop you while your waiting for your new phone. Also to consider - I just logged into T-mobile online.. my next payment date is Dec 4th. I am paying for two weeks of service that I did not use since I just switched today. read more

I waisted an hour of my life at this store last week. I was trying trying to add my mother to my plan. It was taking a long time so about 20 minutes in I was told by a man with blue hair their system was going slow and they would have to call it in. This did not give me much confidence. Another half hour goes by and I guess I am set up. They want about $80 in fees and ask for a card. I ask if they can just charge the card on the account. For some reason they couldn't. They had to physically run a card. I gave them the card -- the same one attatched to the account-- and it wouldn't go through. I was done with them at that point. I took my mother to lunch across the street. I used the same card they couldn't use and it went through just fine. read more

My family has been with T-Mobile for more than 10 years and we've never had major issues, customer service has always been great when we had any problems or questions. At least, until recently. My phone suddenly broke and I bought a phone off someone from Facebook (as trying to save money because it was an unexpected expense) and had them meet me at a T-Mobile store on Ranier Ave in Renton, WA. I always try to be super careful and I trusted T-Mobile to be able to tell me if the phone was legit or not. The phone was a counterfeit. A complete fake, which I could even tell when I took a close look at it the next day. Turns out, the guy that helped me was new. That's fine, I get it, but when I tried talking to them about what happened (the guy was not there) but, a lady named Lai, who had been there the previous night came up and told me: "Oh, I knew the phone was fake right away." ??? I asked her why she didn't say anything and she told me "I thought you knew" which makes no sense, because why else would I have met THERE rather than anywhere else? Then she essentially said "We are not responsible for third party phones. This is why you should have bought one from T-Mobile. We are not at fault." My sister had come with me and both of us were completely polite when bringing this issue up by the way. It wasn't even that we were trying to blame them, we just wanted to let them know this had happened. I would have understood if we were being really rude or shitty customers, but we weren't. Not to mention, I was already having a super shitty day, filed a police report and everything and was met with this response?? I understand that it was a third party phone, I even understand that the guy was new and didn't know any better, but someone DID know and she didn't speak up because she felt that it wasn't her problem and because no one was properly supervising and helping train the new employee. I lost $650 from this because I trusted T-Mobile after being with them for over 10 years. I had a lady from the Bellevue store help me later and she told me of the Jump plan where I could pay it off and not have to pay anything the day of. If someone from the other store had told me, "Hey, this phone isn't real, but we have this plan available, I would have never bought or tried buying a third party phone (I was trying to save money because it was an unexpected expense). I would have straight up bought it from the store. Now I've lost $650, don't have the phone I originally wanted, because I picked a cheaper phone for the plan to make up for the loss, and I am furious. Do not EVER go to this store to buy anything. We bought an Iphone 6 plus, and 2 Android phones from this store. They gave us an option to upgrade to a a business account because use our phones for business telling us it would save a bunch of money and it did not in fact they sent our personal account to collections(we never got a bill) to the tune of $1200, which impeded our ability to refinance our home and we have(had excellent credit. For the sales and talking you into upgrading or signing up for a promo, these guys get a 4. Heck, these guys are sales people. But when it comes to following through with the said promo and receiving the equipment, these guys got a ZERO. Income there to buy a sim card to replace a second line but got talked into getting a third line with a fourth line for free! Since I have a business account, why not?! For only an extra $20 per month I go from 2 lines to 4! And since I went for this promo, they talked me into getting a free Samsung tablet for only an additional $10/month for just the data. Sign up that night and come back two days later to pick up the tablet. I did tell them that I may not be able to pick it up since O work that day. I come to pock the tablet up the following day, just the next day from when they told me to return to pick up the tablet. Lo and behold, they run out and reminded that it was a promo that was until supplies last. But wait.... I signed up for the promo a few days prior to the actual date of the promo. You would think one Samsung tablet would be reserved... Right?!?! No. But they will call me when another shipment comes in. That was yesterday... Still no phone call. read more

I drive downtown Renton to go to this store. Customer service is great. I went in last week to upgrade my phone. They didn't have so they ordered and sent to my home. They said it would arrive between September 17th and October 1st. It arrived in the mail yesterday. I took it to switch out my phone. Jasmine was helpful. She answered all questions assisted with putting my new screen cover on and switching everything from my old phone to my new phone. It was an overall pleasant experience. I switched from Sprint and never thought I would go from bad to worse. I'm not talking about phone service, that part is decent. I'm talking about customer service and dealing with dishonest employees that will tell you anything so they don't have to deal with you. They said they would pay my last bill from Sprint, they didn't! They said they would pay off all phones we traded in that were not paid off with sprint, they didn't! And they took all of our phones and lost two of them. Instead, they claim it's the customers job to call their call center to submit bills etc and when you call the call center and they tell you to go into the store to have the employee do it. So I'm confused as to why they are paid employees when the customer is spending hours doing their job. I've been waiting since December for my bill and phones to be paid for.... and to this moment the manager is still saying it's not her job or fault, it's March! We also were told when we signed up that we would never pay more than a certain amount, when we got our 2nd bill it had doubled. Still confused and regret switching. read more

I went into the store on November 11th around 10:00 am and paid $300 cash for a bill that was due and next months bill. I wasn't greeted by anyone then employee Ricky "helped me" by taking my payment. Literally...... He took my payment and was hesitant in giving me a receipt but I demanded one. I didn't receive a receipt of payment text until 5:00 that evening which was strange. Long story short, I recently received a message from T-Mobile that I have a past due payment and a payment due. I called T-Mobile and they said that I made a payment of $300 on 11/2 but the payment was reversed on 11/3 as a refund. I went into the store today (11/12/15) and spoke with managers Drake and Jane and they couldn't figure why employee Ricky would do a refund the next day and why their till was balanced with a $0.20 overage instead of a $300.20 overage. I'm convinced that employee Ricky pocketed my money. Managers Drake and Jane gave no explanations as to what happened and immediately credited my account with $300.00. It was very upsetting that my payment was paid on time but still shows as late. read more

1 star for the accessible location. I came here to get a new phone since my paid off HTC m8 had software issues and I can't do anything on it. Akash helped me and proceeded to upsale me on a new phone. He talked me out of every phone I looked at. I found a phone that said it was on sale for $499. Well when it came to pay the taxes I saw the price was listed as $725! Not ok with me! He got the manager and the manager said he could give me a $25 credit towards my bill. The sale price ended 3 days before I bought the phone but they failed to change the price on the sign. I didn't realize how much the final price on the phone would be until I got home. After 17 years of being a customer of t-mobile this is how they treated me! I called t-mobile customer service and got the price fixed and they honored the advertising price. Worst customer service at this location. They only care about their commission. read more
