What a great experience! As a senior, with an aversion to learning new technology, peer-pressure was goading me into getting more up to date than my 8 year old flip phone. Shaun and Anthony were very very patient, and kind. I feel they did their very best to help and instruct me, with my new I-Phone. I had one of the worst, most shady experiences of my life here. Do not go to this store. I bought a new phone yesterday, where I was goaded into getting an iPhone XS instead of an iPhone 8 like I wanted because I was told the 8 would not be compatible with a 5G network. I was then told I was getting a free tablet that I HAD to get. I said no thanks. They said it's part of the package, I can give it to someone else. My bill seemed to come out unusually high, at $142 per month for the new phone. I said, is there any way you can make it cheaper? They said no. This morning I called Verizon Wireless customer service. I was informed I could have a half price insurance instead of the one given to me at this store, that the tablet I was given I was PAYING $20 per month plus $6.25 per month for and I COULD NOT GIVE away since I was accountable for it! All in all, my phone bill was supposed to be $100.25 per month, $42 less than this store offered! I will never go here again and I highly advise you deal with Verizon directly rather than this "authorized" retailer. I plan to report them. read more

BUYER BEWARE. While the staff is very nice, there is also some sales deception going on. Be very careful to ask specifically what you are paying for, as they add in a lot of extra "fees" to your phone that are not part of your Verizon bill. For example, they charge you a $49.99 "loyalty program" fee that is separate from Verizon's legitimate setup fee on your Verizon bill. When I asked about this later, they said it was for their time in"setting up" my phone. read more

AVOID THIS AMATEUR SCAM CENTER. GO TO AN ACTUAL VERIZON STORE: 368 S Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101 (626) 395-0956 The customer service is poor. The accountability is nil. This is a dusty, poorly managed store that doesn't deserve to use the Verizon logo in its storefront. I foolishly put "Verizon" into maps and was taken to this "store." At first, I was thrilled to have "Champ" help me with such a quick purchase. I was assured that the rebate that was sent to me by Verizon (the legitimate business) would work at that store. Despite the old and shoddy appearance of the store, I figured I'd proceed. I regret that decision more than I can say. They didn't have the phone that I wanted so I had to come back. I picked it up and began using it with little issue. After a week, I began to notice that messages were not being immediately sent and would arrive in non-sequencial bunches. I took that as a quirk of the network and awaited my rebate. I purchased the phone at the end of June and picked it up on the 4th of July. 3 billing cycles passed and no rebate or credit to my account. I checked back in OCTOBER and was given the run around. I called corporate and they assured me that they would handle this privately owned store. Nothing happened. By the middle of November (I BOUGHT THE PHONE IN SUMMER) I was prepared to drive to the store and not leave until I got my rebate. I called to make sure they were open and was told it would be taken care of. I even got a text from someone named "Cathy" assuring me they'd follow up. Tomorrow is December 1st and no rebate. BUYER BEWARE. I bought a phone in the summer and still have not received the rebate. I am 90% sure I've been scammed. I will wait until after the holidays and then I am taking legal action. (I know, it's not worth the money, but at this point it is about principal.) AVOID THIS MISMANAGED JOKE OF A STORE. The customer service is poor. The accountability is nil. Went out of their way and spent a lot of extra time with my daughter and I getting her new iPhone set up and attempting to trouble-shoot a problem she was having with her airpods. If I could give Zero stars I would! They don't deserve recognition for even one star or half. Just like I read another review... SCAM SCAM SCAM, they greeted us with open arms available to help. Girlfriend and I went in there to ask a question about the cloud... turned into us wanting to help out her mom by paying off then current financing of her cell phone.. roughly $116. Saved mom $30 a month for 4 months. Great! Mom was happy. They then turned around and said we have a great Promo right now.. pay the taxes on the phone and phone is yours!! "Yeah, sign her up!" Ended up being $150 on a $1160 phone. Great... no financing.. nothing hidden etc? Awesome! We were assured it was as simple as that. Turn around two months later and what do you know.. $40 one time new set up fee or whatever the charge was.. I set up the phone myself basically since they weren't able to in store, and secondly and the WORST part of all, $48 and some change per month for 24 months financing which we were never told, agreed on or signed. We wanted to reduce the over all bill not increase it by an additional $20 from where it was. We would have never "upgraded" to begin with if the truth was told. Just would have wiped the old phone clean to green up space. Now I'm battling with them to figure this all out. Moral of the story and verbatim from Verizon corporate told me NEVER to work with a third party/approved retailer of Verizon. This isn't the first time they've heard the horror stories and of course won't be the last. And I can see based off reviews this location is notorious for doing it. GARBAGE read more

Go to another Verizon store! I went in Sunday to ask about my options for getting a new phone. They were super kind and seemed knowledgeable and ordered the to be shipped to the store. I paid and they said they'd call when. Arrived. I called today to check if it arrived and had a few questions. The person I spoke with did not know anything. And when the phone was picked up he tried charging me again despite me telling him I had already paid and the payment being on the account. Horrible treatment of customers. Won't even call it customer "service." Walked in with some easy questions about connecting a new line to my existing Verizon line, so I'm already a customer, greeted and asked very friendly as I came in, and the guy working there today, Wednesday 8/30, around 3:00, immediately treated me like I was just the biggest annoyance and the biggest idiot, who His Queen B Highness could just not be bothered to be bothered with, with all my "stupid" questions he didn't even bother to hide his eye rolls at. Who is paying this guy to sit there and work hard to make customers feel subhuman? Whoever runs this place clearly doesn't care at all about hiring quality people. I imagine it's some kind of scam sales front that hires unqualified dropouts at minimum wage because they're not smart enough to get jobs anywhere else, so nobody anywhere in the equation has any interest or capability at all in helping or serving customers. I am surprised to see negative reviews here because I have had two positive experiences with this store. Once, a while back, I thought I needed to make a purchase, but the sales associate helped me learn that I did not need to make the purchase. I appreciated his honesty and I felt this store was a trustworthy place to return. Last week, I did return to upgrade my phone and received great service by the sales associate Jennifer who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly in helping me make my decision about which phone to upgrade to. Even though I had rushed in near closing time, she stayed longer to help me go through the whole process of purchasing the phone and transferring my contacts. My 84 year old father went here because he wasn't receiving calls on his i-phone. There were two girls working here who kept telling him his phone was too old and the problem couldn't be fixed. They tried to convince him that he needed a new phone. Unable to afford the new phone and knowing his phone was only a few years old, he went to the Verizon store in Pasadena on Lake where he was told he definitely didn't need a new phone, the problem was that the ringer switched off. What these girls did was such an egregiously shady, unethical and low class thing to do to a customer...especially an elderly one. read more

Last week I was tasked with finding a new Verizon store, after I learned my go-to sales associate Austin had left the company after many years for a career change. I wanted to surprise my mother with an iPhone for Christmas, and I am so glad I found this wonderful place! Taylor helped me from my initial call to the first time I walked into the shop, and from there I realized I had found my new go-to!! Taylor not only helped me get my mother's new phone set up with a temp number and running on my current account, she also took a good look at the account, informed me of a wiser deal for my needs, and even helped me remove some services I no longer needed from my current plan and saved me money on my updated service! A+++++ When I returned with my mother today to transfer her phone number to the new device, Kenny and Kareem were not only patient with my technologically challenged mother's questions- they were also exceedingly kind and helpful. James helped me with a purchase during a rolling power outage, and despite the fact that he had to work for hours in a hot environment (because of a lack of air conditioning in the middle of a heat wave), James remained friendly, personable, helpful, sincere and attentive. Our family was about to switch providers when Rogelio swooped in and saved the day. He went into our account and found we were paying far too much, which none of the other reps had cared to change, and he went ahead and got us a great deal! The employee (Mikey) that helped me, sold me things that I did not consent to buying. I'm afraid he did this to so many customers trying to trade in an old iPhone for an iPhone 13. He rushed the sale, wouldn't show me the screen or print things, and told me from the start that it would be $280 plus the remainder of the phone as there was a promo for trading in (which I wanted to pay upfront). He did this weird thing with the bag where he was very insistent on me getting a bag and I said no and he was like we got nice bags you need to see them. He ended up using it to hide all the accessories he was selling me that I was unaware I was buying. He said the case was "included", and so I thought it was free. What was going on was that he was selling me an accessory bundle package that was worth around $140 without my knowledge. He started putting the glass face on the phone before asking me if I wanted it and again I didn't know I'd have to pay for it as I thought it was free. The manager (Jay) said I could not return the glass face as once it's out of package it's non-returnable. I had to call and ask the store to re-send the email of my invoice because he never sent it. Once they did, I saw that I was charged for accessories I was unaware of and that that was part of the $280. It's not $280 out the door for a trade in, it's the tax of the iPhone 13 which is $86 plus their service fee $49.99 (total $136). I strongly believe I should be refunded for the service fee, as the service I received was based on deception. I honestly thought the $280 were mandatory fees. Do not go to this store, many of the employees are handling sales in this dishonest manner. I went there a few days prior and a different employee (Jay the manager) told me it was also $280 out the door, but I couldn't go through with the sale because I wasn't an authorized user, so I fixed my account settings and came back a couple of days later. The staff lacks transparency and uses tricks to sell people things. If I could, I'd give zero stars. read more

So, I can't give them credit for completing the most basic of tasks that I'm sure they are capable of. I give credit to individuals on how they solve problems when they arise, and the two gentlemen working at this Verizon deserve no credit. Long story short, they could not find a solution (a solution I later found in calling the customer service hotline--for the second time-- and speaking with somebody from S. Carolina!). It was one of those situations where the representatives intelligence level was not capable of solving such a problem... and that is ok. However, don't just stand there and tell me "that's all we can do, sorry." Work for it! Find a solution! Make some calls! Call the store manager! Something!!!!! read more
