Rare to upgrade a review but I have visited Verizon twice in the last week and both times I was very happy with the service and friendliness. FYI - Verizon is no longer on Galaxy Drive (where they were for years), they are now next to Freddy's Burgers in the new strip on Retail Drive. Store is brand new and spotless and definitely taking a page from the Apple stores setup and look. Very clean lines and minimal with long tables and bar stools in the middle of the store. Dom and Jaydene (not certain on spelling) both helped us on two different visits - one buying an apple watch and one visit merging accounts and upgrading a phone for my dad. Overall very pleased with service and professionalism - second visit we had a pretty long wait, about 15 minutes as they were very busy but I achieved what I needed to and that was very important. This location is closed. Frustrating that it's not updated on Yelp since it has obviously been closed for a long time. There is no sign that Verizon was ever here. Just wasted 20 minutes driving to this location and I have to go to the opposite direction to get to the closest Verizon store. read more

While disappointed that I wasn't able to get a free phone as advertised on television, I was extremely happy with the customer service I received from Anthony. Anthony went above and beyond and helping me get my new phone squared away; he help me identify the best option For me; and he even offered to put a screen protector on my phone the following day (even without a scheduled appointment). read more

Individual has no desire to make a sale. Kyle was not up to date on the current promotion and he kept saying maybe this promotion is online only. He seemed confused about the buy one get one plus $500 promotions. Not sure why. I may have showed up an hour before closing time. The reason for my visit was to get help getting my new screen protector on, along with I had wanted to buy a new case. When I showed up three male associates where standing at the front not doing anything and told me it would be 2 hour wait, but due to Covid can't touch people's phones now. In the five minutes of him trying to tell me the process or could have been showing me, he could have done this service. I have been with Verzion for 17 years but tired of the horrible customer service. I do not recommend this store location to any one. Give your business to someone that is willing to help. read more

I was told there was no openings available. I drove all the way to North Hills and was told, "What do you mean appointment? Verizon is taking walk-ins." I asked then why would the Wake Forest send me away? She said, no idea, Verizon is accepting all who walk in or by appointment. This seems to back up Mr. Jay T.'s review. The absolute BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE you'll ever get from any mobile phone store! We exchanged one of our phones today because of the whole Note 7 issue and the exchange went very smoothly and the customer service was top notch! Jason was our customer service person and he is the nicest most customer service oriented person I have ever met! He is always on top of the the latest mobile phone news and always extremely helpful! We will never go anywhere else and will stay with Verizon because of him! John is the guy who put our screen protector on our new phone and he truly has mastered that art! Worst customer service experience I've ever had. I went there 3 days straight and each time I was told there was more than an hour wait. All I was trying to do was get a shipping label for my device trade in and was forced to wait. One instance in particulate I counted 5 employees and only 3 customers yet I was still waiting in line. Salesman seemed more focused on holding superfluous conversations rather than attending to paying customers. This store reflects very poorly on Verizon and I would hope their management and staff gets audited soon. I can't tell you how many potential customers I saw walk in the store and leave after seeing the huge line with no one checking people in as they arrived. read more

I am so disgusted with the service at the store. We waited for someone to check us in and they never did. Other people came in and got checked in so we decided to step forward a little bit so we could get our name added to the list. We finally got a young man come from the back with no iPad that asked if we knew what phone we wanted. I tried to explain that we had been waiting and that we did not know the phone we wanted and that is why we were there. He tried to tell me the other people that checked in after we did probably had made an appointment. I was not going to argue with the young man and told him " No thank you." Very disappointed. After 20 years of android.... I decided to switch to the iPhone. We have a grandson who wants to face time and I knew I had to make the change. We were promptly greeted by Matt. He made the decision so easy. He explained all options and completely set my iPhone up. He took the time to give options and explain step by step ways to use the new iPhone. He offered for me to come back anytime for help. My husband and I were most impressed with his excitement for the change. What a great employee you have in Matt. Hard Sales Tactics Went to get an upgrade for an older iphone for my business account. Salesperson (Katie) wasn't interested in anything but up-selling me to the newest version and trying to get me to add more lines. She tried to mislead us about storage needs and pricing and availability on units. We walked out, went to another location, and got what we wanted without the hassle. read more

I purchased a Samsung s9 and ZAGG glass curve elite cover at the North hills location. Was very happy with everything until about two weeks later and a screen cover cracked in the corner. With my replacement I came into this store thinking their employees would be able to reinstall my new screen cover and I was mistaken. The gentleman didn't clean my phone first and there was dust stuck underneath my screen cover which is virtually impossible to remove.I contacted zagg and they told me I can return for a full refund, but Verizon says no we don't do any refunds. So don't waste your money spending $60 on a screen cover that you can buy at Walmart for twenty bucks. At least at Walmart I could have returned it. Verizon. gouges you and then screws you over. And don't bring your screen cover to this Verizon location because they can't help you. Go to the North hills location. At least they install your screen cover with love. read more

Wow. Verizon treats their "pre-paid" customers the worst. And the staff at this location is NOT SUPPORTIVE at all. Verizon tried to make me pay for my plan a 2nd time within 1 pay cycle when I tried to buy a new phone outright (without financing). Customer service at this location acknowledged this but weren't at ALL sympathetic to my situation. They didn't care at all. I also gathered that, though pre-paid customers are technically "Verizon" customers, the nature of our plan makes us fall under the authority of some other division either INSIDE or OUTSIDE of Verizon (that is why, if you're a prepaid Verizon customer, there is NO LIVE PHONE SUPPORT... EVER!). Anyhow, Verizon customer service at the Wake Forest location did not attempt to try to waive the pre-paid plan fee that I would have had to pay a 2nd time within only 10 days. They did not call pre-paid support to help me out... they did not nothing. Verizon's own employees at the Wake Forest location were showing allegiance to the company instead of to the customer... and if you think about it, this makes sense: Verizon is NOT customer-centric... they are PROFIT-centric... which is why, again, pre-paid customers do not have live support (and Verizon, if you dare dispute this fact, I dare you to try to call in for Live Support with a pre-paid acc't - try it out for yourself). If you do not have Verizon as a carrier or if you plan to sign up with them, please do what you can to avoid... iPhones work with other carrier networks.. try not to deal with this company directly. They are disrespectful to their customers. read more

Every time I go into this store, there is an issue as to why I cannot upgrade my smartphone. (Even though I am passed my phone upgrade date). Whenever you walk in, the staff ignores you. If you have to go to this Verizon location, be careful who you see! Find another location if you can. The one star I gave is for the excellent employee, whose name I overheard was Matt, who unfortunately wasn't with me. Otherwise, I wish I could give zero stars. I came in with a dead phone that is under insurance, needing a replacement. The woman, who I think was the manager, who asked what I needed did not touch my phone, did not ask me what was wrong with it, did not explain the insurance replacement process (which I have never been through before) to me, and did not look up my account to see if my device was under warrantee or any other information about me. I was handed a phone number on a brochure. After being on hold for 10-15 mins, I was told I needed to speak to the warrantee department, not the insurance department. Would've loved to have known that to start with... Then was on hold another 15 mins before the call was dropped. Tried one more time to call in before I left, but never reached anyone. Meanwhile, when another customer comes in having trouble with his device, Matt sits down with him, asks details about the problem, is friendly and encouraging, and states that if he can't fix the problem, then he will direct this customer as to what the next steps will be. At that point, I completely lost my composure and left. All I expected was to be treated the way that customer had been. Such an unfortunate, frustrating waste of time. I left in tears. read more

Well, Verizon has the best network, but the staff policies at this store made me upset enough to almost leave that network, if it wasn't necessary for work. Geniece, manager, managed to keep a smile on her face and be polite with her words despite my obvious frustration, but she self-admittedly does not believe the "customer is always right." I came in asking for a phone that could do "portrait" mode and Ceth kept talking in circles trying to get me to buy the X or 8 very forcefully and eventually all of these unnecessary and overpriced accessories, even though I repeatedly and intentionally said that I do not want to spend too much money. Through all of his failed attempts at charging me as much as possible, he let me walk away with an iPhone 7 and clearly told me it had the Portrait option, the only necessity that I repeated very clearly. Had I been able to sign in at the store, I would have realized his mistake, but they kept saying it would take hours because of their horrible wifi. Once I got home and signed into iCloud, I realized the phone was not the one I needed, but the store was now closed due to ice and we had to fly out the next day. After we got back into town, I immediately came into the store, laughing about how I'm not gonna stay mad at him for his obvious mistake... (my mistake was trusting a sales person instead of looking online myself). They did "return" my phone for most of what I paid for it, minus a $35 restocking fee. I asked to have this fee removed, which seemed only fair, seeing as the sales person did not listen to their customer and convinced them they were sold the correct device. I even asked for the manager, after his refusal to admit fault. He seemed nervous, as if he felt it necessary to justify himself in front of his boss. I wish I could have taken my business elsewhere, but they use their good network to nickel and dime every desperate customer that walks through the door. I will definitely use Best Buy or Walmart next time I need to make a purchase. read more

just returned from verizon. people were nice enough but their policies SUCK. i purchased a 40.00 screen protector for my new iphone two days ago. i haven't even used the phone yet. there was a small bubble in the middle of the screen which was very distracting. I returned to the store and was told they don't guarantee a bubble free screen, they install them as a courtesy. after complaining they gave me a new screen protector but wouldn't install it for fear it would have another bubble. so i said "If i have to do this myself then i'd like to return it and get money back". The reason i bought it from them is SO i wouldn't have bubbles on the screen. But when I spoke with the "manager" she said their policy doesn't allow them to take back an unopened box because they gave me the new as a "courtesy". I have to work directly with screen company, Zagg. Needless to say, I will never buy anything from that store again. read more
