I gave them a second chance... Still tried to rob me. I decided to definitely go with unlimited. I only needed it on two of my three phone lines. I walked in and was asked my name and it was put in their system. I waited for a salesman to see me. I wound up with a guy that, apparently, I was inconveniencing. I told him what I wanted to do and he said he had to go in the back to see what the pricing would be. I've never had a salesman do that before. Usually they can just run it up on their tablets. After 10-15 minutes, he came back and said the best he could do was $225 a month. Excuse me? I didn't think I heard him correctly. I told him it was a lot less if I did the switch online. He said it was the best he could do. I wasn't even getting a new phone for this. $225 a month??? I left pretty mad about this. At this point, if I drove past an AT&T or T-Mobile store on my way home, I was going to switch immediately. It just so happened the first store I came upon was a different Verizon store, Verizon Victra. I wanted to see if they came up with the same assessment. They said they could give me the unlimited I wanted on two lines and leave the third with 2 gig for $140 a month. I signed with them. As I was there, I decided I should get a new phone. I bought two new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultras. So due to almost losing my business from Verizon, the first salesman also lost a pretty good commission on two phones. I won't go back there again. The real funny part is that even with the new contract and two new phones, I'm still paying less than the best he could do. read more

Just returned an old wireless router at this location. There were no other customers in the store - three employees working. When I walked in one employee told me he would be with me in a minute while the one of the other employees sat there and played with her phone. The one who said he would help me then walked around the store arranging papers while the other employee sat and played with her phone. After about 10 minutes I asked her if she could help me. She said she was just logging on to the computer. Again - no other customer I'm the store - just sitting there basically making me wait. After awhile I asked "am I all set?" and she said she was waiting for the receipt to print. I'm not a mind reader how about a little dialogue instead of making your customer just stand there while you basically ignore them. Would not recommend this location at all it was like dealing with mannequins. read more

Don't fall for Verizon's phone trade in offers. I fell for the scam back in June of 2022. It is January 2024 and I am still trying to resolve the billing issues with Verizon. I have my receipts and emails directly from Verizon stating my trade in was successful and they would be correcting my billing issue. After 80 hours on the phone with Verizon, still not resolved. BTW - don't waste your time with local Verizon stores/franchisees (especially the Westerly, RI store) for they don't have any resolution power. They just there to push product like drug dealers do. My family and I visited this store to upgrade our plan and buy new phones. A specialist, Tyler, helped us out with the purchase and transfer and was very helpful. I have limited knowledge of technology but he was very patient with our questions even though I took a long time to decide on which plan I wanted. Highly recommend this store. Tyler is the top G. Went into buy a new phone about 4:40. On June 8th 2021. Manager looked up and said "I'll be with you in a few minutes." 12 minutes later he asked what we needed. I said to purchase a new phone. He then basically told us to leave as he couldn't help us as after 5 as he would be short staffed. It wasn't 5 yet. He proceeded to tell us he had no time for walk ins - never asked if we had an appt. - we didn't but he just made an assumption. He told us to go elsewhere or make an appt for another day. Really? Husband going away on trip and needs phone. They will never see me in that store again and I have been going there for as long as I can remember - decades!!!! Been a customer forever with verizon so it was quite upsetting to get a text from my wife at this location, with the main purpose to get new phone with our 7yr old in tote. My little one need to use the bathroom as they denied her. And then they had the nerve to call me to authorize the account to add a new phone to the account. So here we are, you dumb ass! You want me to give authorization to add to my account and you can see that I have a sizable account with verizon wireless and you still would not allow my daughter to use the bathroom. Recently tried to go to the store to upgrade my phone and they don't even let you inside and appointments are booked for over a week. When I talked to someone online they told me to go to the store but nothing about making appointments. Every other cell phone store lets customers inside without appointments. We are a year into the pandemic they need to let people inside as normal while wearing masks and not just tell them to upgrade online. Had a horrendous experience from just moments of walking into this store. Went in to cancel a phone we ordered and the representative immediately pushed back stating that the order paperwork was already completed and there's nothing the store can do about it in the form of either an order cancellation or processing a return on the phone. The representative let the matter hang by stating that he "could see what can be done if anything." The representative called the manager who was just as lackadaisical in her response, stating that she has to impose a restocking fee if the order is canceled. The phone was already in stock at the store and we did not even take possession of the phone, so the staff's push-back in the form of additional fees just seemed odd and out of place (Not sure if other customers were experiencing similar difficulties, but looking around the store, there were more than a few who seemed equally frustrated). We called the 1-800 Verizon Customer support number and Customer Support was in awe on why the store was taking customers through the wringer on a simple order cancellation and charging customers miscellaneous fees. The atmosphere in the store, representatives' demeanor, and the manager's rather rash, uncouth, in-your-face management style and approach to running this operation added up to a nightmare. After waiting and waiting, while the manager -- chatting and laughing in the rear office -- neglected to service our request and rather shuffled representatives to other customers, we finally walked out of the store with assistance and a resolution from 1-800 Verizon Support. What should have been a simple transaction took more than one hour. Would not walk into this store operation again - Just a horrid fiasco. read more

I would give a rating of ZERO (0) stars but it is not available. Verizon FIOS is one of the worst deals you can get for cable tv. This location has none existent customer service and tries to refer you to another location. I moved to another state that does not offer FIOS and they are trying to charge me a termination fee and I have to show govt proof that I moved. I have jumped through hoops trying to clear my account and everyone I have spoken to doesn't have a clue. For TV get HULU or SLING combined with cable channels you like or NETFLIX. We went into the Verizon Wireless store to see if the technicians could fix an issue with my wife's phone. Although the technician 'Zuly' mentioned that the phone was 'old' and due for an upgrade she didn't apply any pressure to purchase and tried her best to hunt down the problem. I have been in other cell phone stores where as soon as they find out you are eligible for an upgrade that is all they talk about and they slack on fixing issues with the phone you brought in. Zuly knew a lot about this phone and explained many of the common problems. She was SUPER friendly and good with people. It made our experience here, dare I say, pleasant. I was one of the lucky ones (sarcasm) to get through the Samsung Note 7 fiasco (stuff happens i know, but Samsung was very bad to the carriers and its customers, with extremely bad communications). This Verizon Store got a really agitated customer (I couldn't get any answers or direction from Samsung) last week. Two people, at the same time, calmed me down and explained all they knew up to that moment and thoroughly went over what they were directed to do. I got my loaner phone, everything moved over no issue and it was seamless. Today I returned to exchange my phone for the new improved Samsung Note 7 (an incredible phone) and once again the process was simple and I was taken care of. I can not believe anyone does business with this company-customer service is not a strong point. But their fraud department is quite busy. The fraud claim I was trying to settle was on my deceased mother who was not a Verizon customer... I went in to get my phone replaced cause color was wrong, after talking to them and explaining that Verizon Twitter support gave me a credit for the restocking fee, they graciously provided exceptional customer service so i could get my black Galaxy S8. Disappointed as I went in, usual wait for a Friday it gets busy for a good reason. My phone was not working with both incoming and outgoing calls, and my power button was stuck. This branch of Verizon Wireless was by far the most helpful. Two other branches in RI would not even look at our phone because we were not insured. This branch fixed the calling issue and also resolved the power button problem. The greeters at the front were friendly, social, and personable. The girl who helped us out in the back was very informative, knowledgeable, and kind to us. We really felt heard, valued as customers, and pleased with our overall experience. It was week when my husband and I had run into several disgruntled employees at various other businesses, so this experience was a welcome reprieve. read more

I paid the $199 and also a $30 upgrade fee that the representative said would be waived and was not. Immediately after upgrading, a promotion was run making the phone $99 after a $100 rebate. I tried getting the rebate by going back into the store and calling customer service. The rep that sold me the contract said I had missed the deal and after hours of waiting on hold they did nothing. Go to an actual Verizon store when you're buying a phone. The rep that sold us the phone named "Great" was anything but great. Does not know what he is talking about. Do yourself a favor and stay away from verizon. They promise you the world and deliver nothing. Went to pick up my equipment it was wrong then they tell me they put the wrong equipment on the order and now I owe them a $50upgrade fee because they screwed up my order and cannot honor what I was told. You are only as good as your word and obviously their words are no good. I get to the store they tell me they can't really help cause they are only a retail store so I have to go another location. While going to the other location I was on hold with Verizon customer care ( what a joke they could care less it should be called customer careless service) for over an hour and then the girl finally gets on the phone I explain the whole ordeal and she says hold on I will look into it and hangs up. After an hour on hold and her telling me to stay at the store so they can send off a new order I was quite upset. The girl actually called me back and said they would waive the fee because it was clearly their fault she disconnects me be because it's quitting time I called back and they are closed and I'm still at the store waiting. Two hours wasted waiting on hold and driving all over town and still no equipment. Then I get home and tried to chat online with customer service that's an even bigger joke. I tried to return a charger that didn't work. The staff told me I had 5 customers in line before me until I could talk with someone. Why do I have to wait an hour or more to return an item that was purchased.. My money is held hostage and why? There should be no reason to wait for a return which takes only a few minutes. Not a bad experience overall comparatively speaking. I was in the store for about 50 minutes total which seems to be average irregardless of which Verizon store I go to, the wait was about 20 minutes which was acceptable for customer volume. While I was waiting I was being pitched fios cable and even though I am not interested in this service the salesman was engaging and friendly and truly just trying to do his job. The biggest compliment I have is to Sean, the person who worked with me, he apologized sincerely for the wait. Then he asked if I knew what I wanted, which I did, that's how I am I do my research before I go into a store. I then informed him I needed to be out by 3 pm, it was 2:40 at this time, his sense of urgency and speed was much appreciated, he was well trained. He got me out by 2:59 by the way with everything from my new phone setup,glass protector installed and otterbox on,which I have to say I was impressed. He was quick and diligent while still covering all his upsell bases. He also saved me $30 a month so it was a pretty productive 50 minutes. I don't know if they intentionally set me up with this salesman or if it was just dumb luck , but he was a perfect match for my expectations of customer service. The only reason it's 3 stars is because if you are easily overwhelmed with high pressure sales this place my not be a good fit for you, it has a high pressure nyse feel to the room with a lot of hustle and bustle. Awful! Went in yesterday to exchange my new phone I had bought just on Saturday because of the ear piece was making a weird noise! These people are all about keeping you there and up selling! I was told the ETA for waiting without an appointment was 30 min! I stood there for an hour watching as 2 people who helped one out person with a bill, 4 other employees walk around and chat with each other and then walk in and out of the back room then the gentleman whom I believe was in front of me in line literally got helped was gone within 5 mins! So I was flipping out because for another 15 mins there I stood wondering what happened to the guy who helped the dude in front of me! I lost my shit and stormed off! I have never seen such a place that I'm sure makes millions of dollars be so understaffed! I work in retail and we specialize and if we made someone wait for that long I can almost guarantee that we would get an angry response! They need to be better managed and maybe be by appointment only! I will never go to this place ever again they lost a customer for life read more
