I want to warn everyone about the Verizon in Antioch, in front of Walmart…read more 1. It's not a Verizon at all. Which I feel like is really scammy on Verizon's part. It's a go wireless who is an authorized of Verizon. Also poor decision making on Verizon's part. So- my 70 yo mother went there ti get a new phone. ( thinking it was Verizon corporate) She gets home with a new 13 mini ($699) and a $330 bill for "accessories" An employee named Nicoy T went to the bank on her lol. Some of it she didn't need but it was obv just a sell- that's their job I can accept that. But $25 was a setup fee. Soooo yuck for business practices- but at this point I'm still just annoyed and intending on letting her keep all the unnecessary accessories. Then I get to the part of the bill that is $100 of screen protectors. We all know we need a screen protector( you can get them on Amazon super cheap btw and I drop my phone like 6/7 times a day, they've never failed me lol) So overcharging for one, since it's a cell phone store, I totally get. But to sell someone that obv doesn't know- 2 screen protectors is just unreal. One was a liquid screen protector and one was just the tempered glass you stick on. He of course opened and used both as they do for you, as a courtesy, when you get a new phone. If these things work and are worth $60/$40 then why would she need 2? And let's be honest- no one needs 2. So then I decided- nope- it's all going back!! Don't try to scam old ladies- it's not cool. SO YOU GUYS- today I go in there, nicely trying to return the stuff ( NICOY T of course wasn't there) They tell me they can't return either of the screen protectors( obv they've been used) ( to really nit pick- they weren't used by my mom, she didn't open them and put them on) But I just politely asked if there was any way to refund once- since we both knew 2 was overkill) Nope. Fine- I'm moving on. She got $100 credit for all the refunds. She was also told this was an even trade- $699 trade in for $699 phone. At the time they were running a promo and I was honestly surprised by the $699 trade in but hey‍ So Nikoy T told her a box would be coming in the mail to send in the trade in and credit her Verizon bill the $699 they were charging putting on it for the new phone. 3 weeks later- no box- so I asked him if he could also check on that. He digs around on her phone FOREVER and finally says- oh I see what happened. She was only getting the $699 if she upgraded to unlimited( she is old she doesn't use much data) I ask her- she wasn't told this. She legit said she has no idea what plan she even has and no one( NICOY T) mentioned anything about her plan at all. So I ask the guy today if I can still do that? I could. It's an extra $30/ month so I decide to wait- she doesn't use more than whatever her current data is- so $30/ month might not be the better option for a $699 trade in. I ask about the trade in value without the plan upgrade. $10. TEN. So I left, mom will have to decide which route to take. AT&T looks pretty good right now. Honestly I just want everyone to know- don't go to this place. They seem very scammy. Either go to the Verizon corporate ( there is one in Kenosha) or just go to ATT. I'm honestly considering switching back to ATT just because of this mess. Just seems all around poor practice. This is only the quick and dirty as well- I could go on. The employee who sat there for 50 and didn't help the person behind me or help me when the guy helping got a bloody nose and went in back for 20 min. And then didn't wash his hands and used his knuckle instead to finish up touching her phone. Covid lately? Just steer clear! I posted this on my social media and got hundreds of comments of people saying they had bad experiences too. And many more saying this review helped them decide not to go there so I hope this saves you too!

I do not recommend getting a laptop or computer repaired at this company. I dropped my Lenovo…read morelaptop and took it in for repairs. They told me they would call me later that day or the next. By halfway through the second day, I called them for an update. They said they were working on it. Three hours later, I called again, and they gave me the same answer. This time, they mentioned they were preparing a quote for the repair because the motherboard was damaged and it would cost $750. They explained that they would need to send it out to a specialty shop. However, they assured me they could back up my data, which I requested, and they did manage to do that. When I went to pick up the laptop, I noticed a plastic bag taped to it containing some hardware. I asked what it was, and they informed me it was the SSD (the new type of hard drive) from which they had retrieved my data. They did not reinstall it in the laptop, which I found puzzling, as I intended to take it to a locally owned computer repair shop for a second opinion. Having never opened a computer before, I thought, "What do I have to lose?" So I opened it up and found the connection point to reinstall the SSD. I had to go and buy a small screw to secure it, which they did not return with the SSD. To my surprise, when I turned on the laptop, it worked perfectly! I am not sure what they were doing for three days, other than backing up my data. Honestly, the store name should be changed to "We Break It, You Pay Us, and You Fix It."

We were pointed to this location through our phone insurance company, asurion, who provided us a list of locations that fix cracked phone screens for $29. Thankfully we only had a cracked phone screen situation. Of the three locations suggested, we chose the Vernon Hills location based on the great reviews. To make the appointment, we filed a claim and prepaid ahead of time. We were given a specific time to come in, and when we dropped off the phone we filled out a questionnaire to verify the diagnosis. We were told to come back in 1.5 hours. They called us at exactly 1.5 hours to come back and pick up our phone. When we picked up the phone, it was like nothing ever happened. The phone looks brand new, and it is brand new because my son just got the replacement after destroying his other phone two months ago! Take note, they used OEM parts and our phone was replaced with an original Apple screen. The phone repair is under full warranty. The business was clean and orderly, and the process was super duper easy. Nice waiting room with mints and a Keurig coffee machine. The employees were friendly and courteous and did everything they were supposed to do. To this day the phone is working like a champ!
