Upon entering you approach a locked/secure door at which point you pick up the phone, speak to the security onsite, they let you know verify who you are with a government-issued ID, then verify if you're permitted access at which point you're still in a secure lobby, and once granted access you're escorted and taken through a mantrap to your destination. It's clear Equinix dumped *millions and millions* into the facility. We are located in the newest build out on the first floor. All cages are bio-metric, cameras throughout, alarms should you have your cage door open for a duration (monitoring) also additional monitoring temp sensors throughout, humidity, etc. Awesome loading dock, both ramp available and dock. Showers within the facility, customer lounges you can rent which have pull out beds, etc. Definitely an awesome modernized facility.

Unfortunately, their download speeds come close to the advertised speed for the package, the upload is a whole nother story. Astound can ONLY DELIVER ASYMMETRICAL Internet Speeds to their customers which is unheard of in 2026........ This basically means, you might get the 1Gbps or 1.5Gbps Download Speed but your Upload Speed is STRICTLY CAPPED AT 20Mbps..........this is unacceptable. Especially when their ONLY COMPETITOR is Xfinity, and their Internet speeds ARE SYMMETRICAL (equal Download and Upload speeds), so if you buy the 1Gb package from Xfinity, you get 1Gbps Download and Upload Speeds. Their is ONE very major drawback to Xfinity though. They CAP your Internet Data ALLOWANCE to 1.2Tb for the month. I would easily blow past that Data CAP as I work from home as a Network Administrator. So when you surpass 1.2Tb of data, they start OVERCHARGING YOU A TON, and you might even be downgraded as far as Internet Speeds go. So you have to pick between these two shitty deals in Chicago and NW Suburbs. I was with WOW when Astound bought out the Americast Infrastructure from WOW Internet. At that time, the Upload Speeds were capped at 60mbps on the 600Mbps/ 1Gbps Speed package. I noticed the drop immediately when they capped the upload speed from 60mbps-20Mbps. This was due to too much traffic on the Line. Astound only has 3 nodes on their Line. Xfinity has 6-8 nodes per Line. Hope this helped, Astoud is losing thousands of customers a month with this sly bait and switch BS with the Upload speed. I'm moving on to Xfinity next month, 20mbps is waaaaaaayyyy to slow in 2026........

We sit down and I hand him the business account statement and say first off, my wife and i would like to upgrade our phones, they are tied to our business account and this is the place we got them last time. First off, is this still the correct place to do it or do i go to apple to get the phones and bring them here, how does this work? Daniel spends a few minutes playing on his computer and then says he will be right back. He leaves and a few minutes later comes back with a drink in his hand that was half full and he was asking his coworker if he wanted it, I guess he thought he was funny, and then informs me that he cannot talk to me because its my wifes name on the account and not mine. Never says hey, do you mind if i call your wife and get her on the phone to verify your identity. Never says hey, we cant open the accounts without your wife here but you are in the right building and here is how it works. I was furious! Does this Daniel realize he just wasted 2 hours of my life?
