Wingers has a typical chain alehouse decor. They brought me a basket of popcorn to nibble on while I was waiting for my food, that was a nice touch. Everyone was friendly, thumbs up for the service. The menu was on the pricey side, but not outrageous. The music was at the perfect level, low enough to allow you to carry on a conversation without yelling. It was still noisy, though. The surprising number of kids there at lunch didn't help. TVs hung from the walls, with the volume off. I ordered baked wings, naked with Cajun dry rub. They were slightly overcooked, otherwise the flavor was ok. Average. They weren't spicy to me at all though they claim the Cajun is supposed to be. Most disappointing is how tiny the wings were. I spent most of my time searching for any meat. Seven teeny tiny wings for 12 bucks. Very disappointing. I'd love a beer. It looks like a good selection, especially for Utah. Gout though. Ugh. I just had to leave an awful experience review at the Wingers Orem location and decided it only fitting to come and leave a review of this location in Vernal because it is our normal location and I realized I hadn't yet. We love this location. Rarely have had issues with servers helpfulness and overall vibe. Everyone seems to be cheery who works there. The food is always so good. We love the Buffalo Cauliflower and many of the awesome wing sauce choices with other meals. Going to the Orem location helped me realize just how lucky we are to have this location nearby and so awesome. read more

Wingers is your typical sports bar type food, except the food is actually good! And there are a few TVs but not 88 of them all blasting. Wings, burgers, sides and kids meal options are all good in a family-friendly atmosphere. They even give you free popcorn when you sit down; who doesn't like popcorn? Price tags won't break the bank either. Bathrooms are spotless! That's always a plus to me. Service is friendly and prompt. We were given refills at half full glasses without being asked. And were checked on frequently throughout the meal. Plenty of parking and easy access just off the highway through town. We make plans to stop at Wingers when we pass through town since we've never had a mediocre experience at this particular location. read more

I'd love to go 5 stars but I was very disappointed with the wings. Went with a dry rub, Cajun, which showed 3 flames for spiciness . I had the bare wings, not battered, and there was barely any run on them. So no spiciness at all. Perhaps the sticky wings are better, next time perhaps that's how I'll need to go. I recently moved to the area and always looking forward to checking new restaurants out and supporting small business over chains. I give three stars for service, but cannot give a higher rating because of two issues: One, the GF chicken wings were huge, but the inside, a couple were not cooked all the way. Having big wings and drumsticks is great, but if uou can't cook through all the way, then size is an issue. I tried to call the restaurant, but no one answered. I understand it is a Saturday night and it can be busy, but a business needs to answer the phone. Two, while order was placed via DoorDash, why does it take 1 hour 15 minutes to cook an order? In Vernal for a few days on business and this place was suggested. 4 of us went. We asked for a booth and saw several available, but we were told no one was serving that section. So we were seated at a regular table... that was right next to a booth! I joked with my friends that they should sit at the booth and I'd just transfer the plates there as they're delivered to the table. Didn't do it. However Jaime was our server and she was awesome! One in our group was a vegetarian, needed gluten free, and no dairy. Jaime didn't miss a beat describing how most of the items could be prepared gluten free, and that the chicken wings even had a special cornbread batter that was fried in different oil from the rest of the wings. She made some great suggestions, had a wry sense of humor, and nothing was a problem. We did point out a couple menu oddities - such as the carbonara pasta dish had nothing to do with real carbonara. And we questioned why several items were called "pounders," yet nothing was beaten nor did they weigh a pound. But the food was delicious. So much so that I returned by myself on the second night. Jaime was off, so I opted to sit at the bar. Which was great, because I was just as taken care of by Krystle. Tried their specialty - the Sticky Fingers (did I get that name right?), and finished with Apple Cobbler for dessert. That was apparently made fresh and took about 10 minutes to prepare. Our waitress Katie was delightful and friendly. Food was mediocre. Kids liked the chicken fingers but were still hungry after eating... 2 chicken fingers wasn't enough for a 7 year old. I had the Asian chicken salad. It was tasty but there was VERY little chicken on it... maybe one whole chicken finger cut up on the top. I'd give zero stars if it let me. Such a waste of time and money. Very poorly run restaurant. Every employee seemed to act like it was their first day working at a restaurant...or any job for that matter. Weird entrance design for restaurant as well. If you want to order a beer, forget it. They're not capable of handling the request. That's a strange thing to see from a restaurant with "Alehouse" in their name when there's at least 6-7 other places nearby in town who are doing a great job at serving anything you'd like to drink. I'll say it again. The word "Alehouse" is right in their name. Yet, they just don't know how to serve ale. They don't have a drink menu. They make the manager come over to check your ID, then wait 10 minutes, then bring over a tablet that lists a few beer names with no descriptions and you have to choose while they stand there staring at you. The beer I ended up ordering was terrible. Truly awful. This is a town benefiting from an oilfield boom. You'd think they would recognize that there's workers with a lot of money from out of town who'd like a drink after working 14+ hours. Enough about their lack of competence regarding beer. Their food is not good either. Took 45 minutes to come out of the kitchen and they weren't even busy. Now, two hours later, I'm feeling sick. Garbage experience. They didn't even make much money off of us because of their lack of service...but we ended up having to be there for an hour and a half. So lame. read more

Winger's appears now to be trying to occupy the space formerly reserved for places like Hooter's and BWW, mostly by adding in that whole Alehouse thing. Good for them, but they have a ways to go. Like many places in Vernal, this is a segmented restaurant, with a 21+ section diving the restaurant. Kind of odd to see, but I guess that's common here. Then again, not sure too many people will mistake Vernal for a culinary hotbed. Didn't go with the usual wings, but instead had a salad, which was piles of stuff on a plate. This made eating it a bit of a chore, but it wasn't bad overall. Buffalo cauliflower have an interesting breading, but not sure this is something I would ever order again. It was interesting once, though. Very good drink selection, assuming you want something with alcohol, not so hot otherwise. Staff was a bit removed, but overall pretty friendly. Ambiance was kind of strange also, trying to be both a family-friendly and sports-oriented type place at once and succeeding at neither. I imagine the strips are probably still the same solid stuff they typically are and it may be wisest to just stick with those. read more

As I've mentioned before, I often have to order for large crews of people. It puts a strain on the restaurant when it's short notice, and it can be hard to satisfy several people with lots different dietary concerns. It's hard on everyone - except for the crew at this WINGERS! This past week, we had to make a fast move and order fifteen entrees with very little notice. Lexi, a server who performs by the very definition of the word, made the process easy, accurate and, once again, delighted our crew. Wingers is one of our favorite local restaurants. There's a wide variety of wing recipes, but also salads, and even a few things to satisfy vegetarians, like me. My husband, our two kids & I came in for dinner on Sunday the 27th. We ordered Beer battered fish & chips, Creamy Rosa Pasta, Chicken Pounder & the sirloin steak. All were delicious. Our waitress, Jenn was very attentive, without hovering. Knew the menu exceptionally well. I am traveling through Utah and decided to stop at Wingers. Unfortunately, the hostess was not welcoming and racist. She was very welcoming and showed hospitality to white customers however when my mixed family came in her whole demeanor changed. She was rude right off the bat. She said it would be a 10-15 minute wait and took my name and phone number; however, we waited 30 minutes and did not receive a text. We went to a different restaurant thinking the wait became longer, but I never received the text or a call. Leads me to believe there was never a wait or she never put my name/number on the list. Came here as we were craving wings, and our first choice was closed on Sundays. Was a little Leary based on the reviews. Went around 4:30pm on a Sunday. Seated right away. Waters brought immediately. Took over 15 min to get our beer on tap. Server said it was because the pours were very foamy. Received our wings about 2 minutes later! I got the 7 wing appetizer. My husband got the wing dinner (6 wings, fries, and slaw for $2 more). He loved his meal, especially the Thai Red Chili sauce. The server let us order 2 sauces per order. I enjoyed the flavor of mine too. My only complaint is that my wings were about 1/2 the size of his!! Both were bone-in. I was going to complain, but husband noted that I actually got 8 wings, not 7.
