Luigi's Restaurant - The standard side salad - yes, there is lettuce (and olives) hiding under the abundance of cheese.

First time visiting and I was pleasantly surprised! I usually don't go for antipasto, but this one…read morewas really enjoyable--the lettuce was fresh and crisp, and the Italian dressing was flavorful without being too overpowering. The pizza was also very good. If you like a slightly doughy bite, you'll love it--the crust had the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Our server was attentive, friendly, and honest about portion sizes, which I really appreciated. I wish I had taken a picture of our food, but that just gives me an excuse to come back--and I definitely will! Looking forward to trying more dishes next time. The place was very quaint, casual and laid back atmosphere....you may want to bring a sweater.

First time in a long while since visiting this restaurant…read more Place was crowded but our companions secured a table before we arrived. We ordered the antipasta salad for two. It was pretty basic. Two peperoncini peppers and a radish adorned the top. There were four sticks of salami, no pepperoni or ham and the salad was covered with cheese. The salad dressing was on the light side and you could barely taste it, recommend you ask for it on the side. I ordered the sausage and meatball splash and my spouse had the rigatoni. Both entrées were just ok. The bread was great and served warm. Our waitress was attentive w/o being a bother. They finally accept credit cards albeit with a surcharge. I've had better meals in the past at Luigis.

One of the several…read morepleasures I had while in Pittsburgh prior to watching the Seattle Kraken carve up the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night. Now ya can't grill it till ya kill it so I'm all good with that. My bone in Ribeye steak was spectacular and perfectly prepared by the grill master of the evening. Medium came out with juices flowing with a hint of pink in the center. As I grabbed my knife and carved into this flesh I gave a quick prayer to the flesh gods for giving me such a fine opportunity to dine on this beast. This animal was savored by me to the last bite. I honor its perfectly marbled fat layer and tender bites I masticated with delight. Thank you food gods for an outstanding meal. Now the experience aside from the meal was outstanding . Federico served us the entire meal from start to finish and he was a mench! My lady had an issue with her steak and it was removed which he didn't have to do, so it's appreciated and I hope it showed in my tip. Our seats were last minute but we secured a fine table in the front of restaurant and it was cozy and not loud. What delight to have a fine dining experience and actually enjoy the food. Well, I enjoyed my steak and for the purpose of the review that's all that matters folks... But I'd 100% come back when in Pittsburgh or another city. First class establishment serving first class meals and it shows! Thank you very much for having us in your place of business.
