Every time I've gone in someone has greeted me and asked if I needed any help. This past Saturday I literally brought my TV with me because I can't find the proper screws for the base. A younger guy took the screw I had most recently purchased (my 3rd attempt), sized it and then took several attempts to find the correct screw. He was running in and out of the store to fit it on the TV (never ended up finding it). At one point another guy was helping us too. This type of service would NEVER happen at the big box stores or even most of the small-town stores. Very appreciative and will visit this store before I go into town to the big box store!

I didn't get his name, but he just told me that it was "not his job to know everything about the store". This was in response to my question asking what the January 25 percent discount applied to. This young man was on his phone, it seems that I irritated him, by interrupting his texts. I quickly left the store before I said more than, "it is your job to know about pricing and, have a better day." We've been loyal to Stoughton lumber, for the last 15 years. I've never had service this bad here.

When the specific style number I liked wasn't immediately available, he spent the rest of the day calling around to try to locate it. The showroom is a time warp, but the family-run business is great and they are all so sweet. I really wish they had prices on the appliances though. I had to wait 10 minutes for him to look it up elsewhere and come back. Everything is manual and hand written. They take cash or check. They will take a card but then you'll pay the extra 3%. For just an extra $140 or so, they came out and installed the new dishwasher and took away the old.

The owner was able to find me a refrigerator in stock that was in my price range. His son was able to schedule delivery with removal of the old one on Monday. I never would have gotten one that fast from anyone else! The delivery arrived right on time, and they were able to get a big, bulky unit out of a small space in a kind and friendly manner. I never felt like it was an imposition. Wonderful service and I look forward to purchasing from Quam's Appliance in the future!
