Just purchased a T@B 320 from Jerry's. It's my sixth RV buying experience (three private sellers and three dealers), and definitely the best. Dave took us through a half dozen units plus all our questions. We said we needed some time and instead of pressuring us said, "great. you know where I am." When we came back a month or so later, he took us through even more units before we were ready to buy. He really let the RV sell itself, which it did. Ours was a new unit so there was the inevitable "punch list" of small fixes. I'm used to dealers taking weeks to fix things; Dan returned our 320s in three days. One of our requests was for a solar port, which didn't come with the unit. He didn't charge us because, he said, most of the new T@Bs come with one pre-installed. These guys are smart. They only sell top-shelf stuff (nuCamp, Happy Camper, Sunlite, Luna, etc.) and let the products speak for themselves. When we're ready to upgrade again, we'll be back. read more

Dave the sales guy. I called in to inquire about a used trailer, I made an offer, he declined so I obliged to the asking price, not the end of the world. I proceed to make a deposit as I'm 5 hours away. It's a great deal so it's still worth it despite no luck on negotiating. I figured so what? I'll still make the 5 hr drive. Unfortunately his tone and demeanor was so off color right from the beginning that I couldn't ignore it. As I began to give him my cc number for the deposit on agreed asking price, he was becoming less pleasant to deal with and felt irritated. I read off some numbers, he got those, then I literally read off a few more and he interrupts asking if that's the expiration. 421? We are not half way done! I am far away, and not that comfortable as it is making a deposit but the pix look great. Not sure what triggered him, as I accepted the asking price following his rejection to my offer. Obviously I'm making a counter offer, it was 15%. The RV world is all over the place with negotiation norms so maybe that did it? Ok. No go. Also, no prob! So why the persistent attitude and snarky tone? Maybe he had a bad day. But he had the sale and I was proceeding - and that tone along with the 5 hr drive - really put a bad taste in my mouth. I found another review on Yelp of some one coming from far, also worked with Dave, paid a deposit, and had their camper sold before they got there, the review alleges. Maybe they don't like that type of business is what I get out of that. Ok no biggie. Moving on elsewhere. Rude! read more

Bryan in the service department saved our weekend of camping!! He got us a great deal on replacement wheels and squeezed us into their service schedule last minute to fix a spinning wheel stud. Not a flashy, shiny dealership, but nice people and were VERY accommodating to help us. We will definitely consider them first when we are looking to replace our camper. read more

I can't say enough good things about Jerry's Camping Center! My first visit in November '23 was to check out a Tab 320. Though it wasn't the perfect fit for me, they suggested I watch for a new product from NuCamp Summer '24. Fast forward to Summer 24, the NuCamp 360 was announced, but unfortunately, it was out of my price range. Undeterred, I reached out for pricing on another small unit, went to see it in person and was thrilled to put a deposit down. After our first outing, we needed some repairs. Not only did they take care of these at no charge, but they also added a strut to assist with under-bed storage. My dog and I were hanging out while they worked, and they even ordered pizza for lunch, generously offering me some! By Fall a few more upgrades and repairs were needed, including winterizing. The team worked around my schedule to ensure everything was done between dropping it off on Thursday and picking it up on Monday. Special shoutout to Dawn, Dan, & Dave--your customer service is top-notch. We'll keep coming back and hopefully upgrade to that NuCamp in the next few years! read more

It's our 3rd camping trailer with Jerry's and we've been stalking them for months trying to make this decision. The staff at Jerry's, especially Dave, have infinite patience. Answering questions, helping with comparisons, and negotiating in good faith. We have never had them be anything more than completely honest and treating us like friends more than clients. This January (2022) we were shopping for a very specific used travel trailer, an InTech Sol Horizon. We weren't interested in any other model; we had done our research and we knew what we wanted. These units are hard to find and when they become available, they sell fast. We missed one at a dealer in Rockford by forty minutes. We found one via the internet at a small RV dealer in Madison, WI, 2 hours north of our suburban Chicago residence. We made arrangements to come see the unit. The day we visited the temperature was hovering near zero degrees but the onboard furnace was cranking away and making a difficult inspection much easier. The unit was so close to new it was surprising. We were verbally assured that it was winterized by them and all systems onboard were working as expected. We struck a deal that included the purchase of a front windshield cover and an Andersen weight distributing hitch. The windshield cover was to be delivered to me from the factory and I would install it as it is a very easy job and I'm handy like that. In a few days the windshield cover was delivered but the six-foot-long extruded aluminum track was bent in its packaging and unusable. I contacted my dealer and they made arrangements for a replacement to be shipped. For a part they won't get to install. A few more days passed and a fresh part arrived. Three weeks later we hitch up the trailer in February and head west for a three-week trip to Arizona. Got out to Tucson and tried to deploy our Thule awning. As I cranked it out, I heard bad noises and stopped. Upon inspection I found fabric ripped on both edges, broken metal hinges, and one leg missing. Yikes! The next day I sent Dawn at the dealership an email explaining what I found and mentioning that we were assured everything was in working order. She stated she would order a new one right away. I was very glad to hear that but questioned her right away as to who was going to pay for it. She immediately responded that they were very sorry they missed it in their inspection and would replace the entire awning on their dime. Whew, that was close as these are not cheap awnings. Great, crisis averted. Weeks turned into a few months and no awning. More emails to Dawn and we discuss the unavailability of this particular awning. Seems they are no longer available from Sweden. Supply chain issues.... We remained patient. I started looking myself, even talked to the folks at InTech. They can't get them either and as a result, they are fitting powered awnings instead of manual awnings on their new trailers. A lightbulb glows above my skull and I communicate to Dawn that I would be willing to pay the difference for a powered awning. She said to let her check the situation. She got back to me in another day and said a powered awning was ordered and should be in soon. I asked what my part of the cost would be, and pay attention here, she said they would cover the upcharge since we were so patient with them! That's fantastic! OK, when I bring it in how about your guys install the windshield cover that you helped me purchase from the factory and I pay you for that? I haven't installed it yet and I would be happy to throw some business back at you since you're treating us so well. Told her this is a high-quality unit and they might not see us again. She said fine. A few weeks later the new awning arrived. We had another three-week trip planned in ten days. Dawn said they could get it done by then. I got the trailer to them the next day. Since the trailer was built without a power awning there was no power source or switch present. I scoured the web for solutions and between myself, the dealer service dept., and the InTech factory we got the power and switch sorted and it looks and works perfectly. Very happy! I was presented with a detailed invoice and a bill of $0. They even installed the windshield cover for us! This, my friends, is how you please and keep customers. I have a crazy thing for customer service. Good goes well, and I am more than simply pleased to work with such venders. When I encounter a lame vendor, one that has something I need, and can't find it anywhere else, I'll begrudgingly return and most likely purchase the items, so they retain a customer, but not one that encourages others to subject themselves to such a place. Jerry's is among the great places. I don't recall how many times I've visited but without exception, the honest and pleasant guys I've worked with make me leave knowing I'll be back next time I need these specialty items. Exchanges are done without any annoyed looks or the suspicious nature a patron of Walmart (and the likes) experiences every single customer who has returned anything whatsoever! Twice, I've had to exchange items at Jerry's and it's been as simple as swapping the two items. Receipts were in hand, but not demanded, granted I was only here one or two days prior, and the same employee helped me, but this is still an exception! One other outstanding and valuable thing this place is great about, referring a sale to another place! I needed something that very day, and instead of trying to persuade me to buy it from here and waiting a day or two, they told me where I might find it and did so knowing it could be a referral that may remove them from the future equation. read more

Horriable customer service, Dave salesman was extremely rude. If you wanna get ripped off go here. Dave tried to sell me a used piece of junk after I drove 4hrs to pick up a camper he already sold then tried to sell me a camper with rust, water damage & replaced parts. I had spoke with him 4 times prior to our visit and he promised he had the make & model camper I wanted & would hold it until morning. I explained we are driving 4hrs to pick this up. He promised he'd hold it & see us in the morning. Upon arrival he said I have no idea what your talking about I can't remember what happened 5 minutes ago. Then another salesman said yeah we sold that make & model last week and the couple is here to pick it up today. Shadiest salesman I have ever met. Instead of apologize for wasting our time or trying to make it right. Dave said I am the manager here take it or leave it, these campers are selling like hot cakes in the middle of this pandemic so if you don't like this someone else will buy it in five minutes after you leave. I was so taken back I chose to leave. Worst salesman & company ever. Campers are covers in patch work & hidden flaws. Mechanics desperately trying to fix stuff on the fly, running around with caulk guns patching leaks in the parking lot! Salesman could careless. Worst experience ever. read more

So the lift system on our popup camper has been a consistent problem (you can read my review about McGeorge's Rolling Hills RV to read the story). We had set up our popup the night before our trip in order to get it ready and we had problems lowering the lift. By now we had learned all about it and could tell what the problem was, but it was not fixable by us. We went to two different RV places but neither could fix it before the second one suggested Jerry's. They were busy, but the tech came out and helped us figure out a workaround that would get us going for our trip (which we were now already late for) for free. We opted to get it fixed after we got back. So, this place is nothing beautiful to look at, and they don't really have a retail area to speak of (though I could be wrong on this -- I basically just ducked my head in), but they were super helpful and the mechanics seem to be the kind of guys who know their way around a small camper. If you have a popup or something that's not a class A mobile home, I'd suggest these guys. I think of them sort of like a hole-in-the-wall diner with excellent food. Don't let the exterior fool you. The only reason I am not giving them five stars is that we had to call to find out our camper was done being fixed. read more

If you want to purchase an RV that comes with the complete package, then Jerry's Camping Center is one of those rare places where you are not forgotten after the sale is made. I have purchased five travel trailers from them over the years and they always gave me what I considered to be a great deal. I am very thorough when it comes to knowing trailer values, when I decide to make a purchase, as I always check book values and shop the online market to know the best current prices being offered in the whole country. But what makes Jerry's special is the wonderful service that goes well beyond a great purchase price. Every RV is going to have some problems that will need to be solved and the people at Jerry's Camping Center will be there to solve them for you. Recently I had an accident where my travel trailer was basically totaled. I was able to pull the trailer off the highway into a grocery store parking lot. One of the owners from Jerry's came to the store parking lot to help me evaluate my next moves and he eventually towed the trailer to their business location. One week later he traveled to a dealer show showcasing the new models of my trailer. He took pictures of my damaged trailer with him to get an estimate for restoration. It turns out the trailer was beyond repair. To make an even longer story short, he worked with a company rep to offer a loyal customer a great deal on a 2016 dealer show model. Between the company and Jerry's, I am now in a 2016 model that was far less expensive than the new 2014, 2015, and 2016 models found on line. This just scratches the surface of my positive experiences at Jerry's Camping Center as they have made me a "happy camper." read more

As a previous owner of several RVs (Class C, popup and most recently, a Jayco JayFeather 19H), last fall I decided to start looking for a new smaller camping unit for me and my husband John. I spent the winter researching units and decided to look at the Mini Max as a possible option. Unfortunately, my husband's health rapidly declined over the winter and he died on 2/10/19. While I was grieving the loss of my husband and the dreams of a travel-filled retirement, I was determined that I would not give up the dream of having a smaller camping unit to carry on our love of the outdoors. In mid-March, I traveled to Jerry's Camping Center in Madison to take a look at the units they had available. I met with Dave and toured several units, including several nuCamp units, the Mini Max, and the Max. I left with a favorable impression of the dealership and the units. After several weeks of additional research and thought, I decided to purchase the Mini Max, trading in my 2014 Jayco JayFeather 19H in the process. Dave and I agreed that I would pick up the unit on March 29, 2019. The day arrived and I drove Madison, WI to pickup the Mini Max, towing the Jayco for the trade-in. From 3/29-4/10, the unit sat in my driveway as I dealt with my husband's memorial service on 4/5 and recovered from my 4/12/19 shoulder surgery. It was during this time that I noted that the panels on the bathroom walls were loose, the caulking in the bathroom at the ceiling had failed, the caulking at the kitchen counter and seating area storage compartments had also failed, the white plastic piece that fits over the water lines at the back of the toilet was bent and cracked and several cabinet doors did not fit properly. I was understandably disappointed, but made the decision to promptly bring the issues to the dealer's attention for warranty repair. On May 10, I arrived in Madison about 11 am for the warranty work. We went through the list of items to check and I was assured the unit would be ready later in the day. I picked up the unit about 3:30 that afternoon, walking through the repairs with John, one of the staff at Jerry's. He indicated to me that he also caulked areas on the roof - something that was not on my radar. I spent the weekend camping in the Madison, WI area and encountered several additional problems: the sink drain leaked causing water to run out from the top of the microwave to the floor. I had noticed water on the floor when I was de-winterizing the unit in early May, but assumed I had been careless with the shower head and splashed water on the floor. Additionally, the systems monitor panel stopped working, I had no TV reception despite being in a city where there are several local stations, I noticed rust on the stabilizers, and trailer frame near the battery. I made the decision to delay my return home to drop the unit off at the dealership first thing Monday 5/13. On Monday, 5/13, I dropped the unit off at Jerry's Camping Center, explaining I was extremely unhappy to have had to take the day off work to deal with more problems with a brand-new camper. I again gave them a list of things to repair and stated I would pick up the camper on Thursday, May 23. I picked up the camper on May 23, again walking through the repairs with John. I was hopeful that these problems were an anomaly, and I would be able to enjoy a summer filled with camping adventures. That was not to be. During my return on 5/27 from a Memorial Day trip (it was raining during my return), I opened the door of the camper to find the rug in front of the door completely soaked with water. I noted the floor in front of the refrigerator was wet. The door and floor of the small cabinet under the refrigerator was wet, and there was water running down the side of the refrigerator door. I checked all the windows to be sure they were secure and they were. I did find that the vent near the top of the camper on the "drivers side" was loose and I did my best to pull that vent down to secure it, but I'm not confident it is properly secured nor am I sure it had anything to do with the water infiltration. Upon my return home, I pulled up the seat/bench supports throughout the unit and found all the floors under the benches were wet (including the floor of the "basement" storage area,) with water damage to the plywood box and the 1x2 supports in the "furnace compartment" were completely soaked. The plywood partition between the furnace and the wheel well area was very wet and has now warped on the lower corner, yet the small cabinet under the bench seat on the "passenger side" of the unit was dry. This tells me that there was water infiltration from another source not related to the water infiltration near the refrigerator. I have yet to hear from the dealership. Emails and phone calls are not returned. I am extremely dissatisfied with the unit itself and the dealership. I hope this post will help others avoid my fate. read more
