Recently returned after not being here for over 2 years to find the store completely remodeled. New fixtures had plenty of wines to choose from in all varietals and regions. Liquor and beer selection was also very good. There was also a small gourmet section and some cigars. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only thing I would suggest they change is to arrange the wines in a more cohesive manner. read more

This so-called wine retailer, has the absolute worst selection of wine with staff that offers novice advice at best, but who cares about service when the bottle'd grapes offered are such poor and mediocre quality from lousy distributors. Go to Amanti Vino in Montclair for a better selection. Yet there, you're paying $3-$6 more per bottle because it's on Church Street. The best wine store is 67 Wine in NYC - Astor is subpar compared to 67's selection, and many wine retailers in Jersey offer a selection for those who don't know what quality is, anyway. Had an unpleasant encounter a couple days ago at this location. I had a cashier who was extremely rude and unpleasant. I asked her questions and she would answer with a nasty attitude. I believe her name was Lexi. Whenever someone was around she would make inappropriate/ vulgar remarks about them for no apparent reason (staff and costumers). I would not recommend this place, better off going somewhere else. read more

Best liquor store around with the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff! Prices are great if compared to other liquor stores in the area.

This is basically just a basic liquor store with beer wine lemonade champagne there is a cooler and a cashier I'm not exactly sure how to reach this place because it was very basic and mediocre yes they had a lot of products that I needed but it's all pretty basic There wasn't an amazing Decour or amazing music playing on the radio it was just the kind of place that you walk in when you want to buy alcohol to bring to someone's house and then you leave after you pay Not a bad experience but not a WOW factor like Total Wine read more

Finally found the perfect medium-sized liquor store in the area. I'm always on the search for a nice selection of craft beers, and there's a few solid places in the area. Total Wine is the king of selection, but it's a farther drive, it's always packed, the staff is unfriendly, and the beer is frequently old. After visiting at least 10 different liquor stores in the area, this is best one by a mile. Great selection of craft beer, and they're always getting some really top tier stuff in. Liquor selection is decent and prices are good there as well. And here's a rare one for a liquor store: the folks that work here are pretty friendly! My go-to from now on. read more

About a 3 minute drive from my place. When I don't feel like taking the trek down to Bottle King (pure laziness) .... Home is my go-to. The wine and liquor selection is above average, the prices are on-point. My main gripe is the beer selection....meh, it's pretty average, you're not gonna find any super-exotic beer, and it sure as hell isn't going to be kept refrigerated. Parking is a little crappy, on a busy Friday evening, don't be surprised if your car is sticking out onto Bloomfield just waiting for that one (or twelve) vehicles pulling in/out of the spots on the right. Also there is a f**king ENORMOUS pot hole as you exit, word of caution, this sucker is a complete hazard to anyone speeding to their booze-den. read more

I must disagree with the previous reviews. I visit home liquors about once a week and literally every single time, the staff has offered to help me find what I'm looking for. They're always friendly and courteous. I can't speak to their wine or liquor selection because I only ever buy beer. Home liquors has a much better selection of craft beer than I would expect from a small town liquor store. Prices are totally reasonable, about the same as shop rite liquors in Caldwell. The owner ordered my favorite beer for me and also asked for my input regarding what other beers they should start carrying. All in all, I appreciate that Verona has a friendly liquor store with a decent selection of craft beer. read more

I probably come here twice a year around holidays, and every time I go I'm reminded why I say I'll never come here again. The employees are always flat out rude and unpleasant, never once have I seen a smile from any of them. I only come here for very last minute things so it's the most convenient option, closest to home. I'm really going to try to make it a point to never come here again. Bad customer service is a huge pet peeve of mine. read more

Convenient... but that's about all. Prices are about the same or a little more than what you'd find in some of the bigger liquor stores. Selection is limited for both wine and beer. Staff is mildly friendly, don't look for any assistance. read more

They have "mispriced" things a bit too often to be just coindcidence. Not just for me but for family members too. Told me that a bottle on sale for $15 was listed incorrectly and was really a $39 bottle, but that they would sell it to me for "cost" at $20 flat. Looked online and no place had it for over $20. Three such episodes between me and a family members. If anyone else has had a similar experience I would encourage posting it. read more

I live within walking distance, but I would still come here for the great selection of beers, good prices and knowledgable staff. The overall look of the place has also improved immensely since they remodeled last year. read more
