I got the Matcha Bloom Latte which was so soothing on a cold day, the floral taste from the rose and lavender came through in every sip, and the vanilla gave it an added sweetness that pairs well with the earthy matcha. They have plenty of plants, succulents, and flower bouquets to choose from. PlantShed has a few locations in NYC but this is the first one in NJ. Glad I got to check it out!

Plants + coffee + pastries = BLISS…read more PlantShed With Englewood Florist is a lush oasis located on Palisades Ave. It operates as both a cafe and retail shop. As soon as you walk in, you'll notice that every corner of this business is surrounded by beautiful greenery and vibrant flowers. The cafe takes up most of the space at the front of the store. It has a charming aesthetic with marble top tables, black woven chairs, tin tile ceilings, and natural lighting. Indoor seating is limited. There's a few tables for 1-2 people and one communal table. They have free wifi and outlets, so you're able to study or work here. They also have additional seating with wooden picnic tables and umbrellas in their outdoor garden. The menu offers drip coffee, espresso beverages, matcha, tea, and more. They have pastries, snacks, and readily prepared cold foods like sandwiches and salads. I've tried... *Iced Matcha Latte $7 - Disappointed. The drink was very milky and the matcha flavor was so subtle. Did not taste earthy or authentic at all. It tasted like one of those cheap, pre-sweetened powders (even though the barista said they have it unsweetened). *Cold Brew ~$6 - Smooth, not too bitter, and naturally sweet with a splash of milk and sugar! *Freddo Cappuccino $6.50 - If you love a bold and rich espresso flavor... this is for you! It's a Greek-style drink with two shots of espresso, shaken with ice, and then topped off with a layer of frothy milk. The end result is a sweet, creamy, and strong cappuccino. *Cronuts ~$5 - If you're looking to indulge, these are a MUST TRY!!! I tried the apple cinnamon, nutella, and raspberry flavors and they were the perfect decadent treats. The texture is to die for - layers of fried, flaky croissant dough in the shape of a donut. It has a crispy, sugary exterior and a soft, airy interior with sweet fillings. The good stuff doesn't stop there. Towards the back of the store you'll find all of their products - plants, flowers, pots, candles, stationery, room sprays, diffusers, soaps, soil mix, etc. There's a large and unique selection of greenery - orchids, succulents, indoor foliage plants, hanging plants, bouquets, and over 16 types of flowers. The staff (both the baristas and florists) are helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The florists are experienced and can help you craft a floral arrangement for a special occasion or look for a specific type of plant for your home. They even offer same day delivery. The plants and flowers are gorgeous, healthy, fresh, and vibrant. I could spend hours here! Whether you're looking to purchase flowers, plants, a strong cup of coffee, or all of the above.... PlantShed has it all!

Dulce De Leche Bakery 55 W. Palisade Ave…read more Englewood, NJ 07631 House Cake When I opened the box, I immediately knew I was going to be in for a treat. In between the layers of cake are strips of dulce de leche with peach bits and cream. There is a crunchy meringue exterior and a garnished peach slice on top. It's not overpowering in sweetness and you'll definitely enjoy each bite. For the most part, I had a great time explorin' downtown Englewood. #housecake #dulcedeleche #dulcedelecheenglewood #palisadeave

Love that its a nice place to meet up with friends with ample seating. Everything looks fresh and…read morewith that many options, its very hard to choose what to get ! Lets start with the good, the cheese empanada was very cheese and with a lightly crispy/flaky crust. My daughter loved this! The caprese sandwich was warmed and so delicious! The chocolate mousse cup was light and airy with a crisp dark chocolate cup. One of the best mousse i have had! The cannolis my daughter loved . Now the bad... We ordered the mint lemonade for my daughter and found a bug in it ( like a fruit fly) as soon as it was brought to our table. When i took it back to the counter the lady just smiled at me and offered to replace saying she didnt "think" it was from the machine and just flying around. I told her it was unacceptable and would have been more upsetting had my daughter drank it. Then was given a light apology but thats all , which is so strange to me . Then i received the chai ( which at the counter i was informed could be made less sweet). It was overpoweringly sweet, when i took this back they said it was a premixed powder and already has the sweet mixed in ( very strange why i was told it could be adjusted then :/). Anyways, overall a nice clean place but check your drinks before drinking for sure . Loved all the food items we got though !

They were on the pricier side but there were also the realistic fruit pastries as well. I tried a couple of the food items/pastries and they were super flakey and buttery as well. I was very happy with my experience. First, I had to go straight to the bathroom. It smelled good and was clean in there. Bonus points! Then, I walked up and looked at the menu and display of treats and bites to eat. Customer service was great and helpful. The staff suggested I try the Adeni Cafe tea. It came out piping hot with a premium tea blend. Mmm, this was good! I ordered the chicken puff pastry, which was good, and I think it would've been even better with a sauce dip to go with it. The place is spacious, with outlets, WiFi, and space to get ish done! I also ate my mango treat that I took home and had the next day, which was fun to eat. It wasn't too sweet and had little mango-like chunks in it. I will be back when I'm in the area. Street parking is available, and I had to use ParkMobile parking app until 6 p.m.

Most…read morecoffee cafes focus on espressos because that's where the money is, so finding a place that does pour-overs is getting harder as they barely exist. Imagine our delight when we found this place on Yelp. This is huge for coffee lovers. Most of their beans are single-origin, and while some may be a little nervous that it's next to a gas station, rest assured, it will be one of the best coffees you will ever enjoy. Bold statement, but a true statement. Seating is very limited. One side has four seats at a long bench table, while the other side offers two seats. There was also a table with a few chairs outside. This place has espresso drinks, coffee, a limited tea selection (tea bags, not loose leaf), banana bread, croissants, and other various baked items. We had a buttery croissant and banana bread -- both were heated up and outstanding!! The coffee beans are roasted in-house, and they also offer coffee on tap. It turns out they have several locations, and they all roast their own beans on-site. You can also purchase beans to grind at home, should you choose. Parking is tight but free. They do have a bathroom if you need to use it, and the baristas who work there are all experts at making coffee. They are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and are great to chat with about their beans when the place is at a rare slow time. They are dedicated to their craft. Anytime we are nearby, this will be the only place we will be stopping for a supreme cup of java. My biggest regret: not purchasing a bag to take home. The Roast'd Legender is calling out to me.
