This is my nephew's favorite local spot…read more I was intrigued by the Filipino flavors. Big thanks to the person working the front who asked every patron if they had any allergies. My sisters got a mix of flavors that didn't really speak to me. I got halo halo and guanabana. What a mix! I made my sisters taste the halo halo because it was 10/10 good.

The gianduja crunch hazelnut was what brought me back. I visited on a Sunday afternoon in summer with the family, and it was packed. There was real no space to enjoy the ice cream either. In line, I noticed no one offered samples or took my order proactively until I reached the cash register, by then it was too late to sample. There were two guys manning the ice cream station, a lady manning the register, and a few in the back kitchen. I ordered a pint of the gianduja crunch, a single vanilla, and a single flan. The vanilla was average, it didn't wow me (I was hoping for something less sweet, more like haagen dazs vanilla bean). I think they used too much vanilla flavoring. The gianduja was very good and appropriate with a crunch, and the flan was solid too, glad we went with those. They seemed a bit disorganized when paying/receiving the order (chalk it up to being busy young adults). I had to ask multiple times if they had given my pint since they called my name out to give me the single serving but they were still working on mine but were also bringing out different order pints to other customers so it was a bit lack of communication and clarity that needed polishing. They also didn't have any cooler bags to sell or give out, which would be helpful for a 30-minute drive home in summer. Pricing was fair, not too expensive. I saw the awards the owner has displayed and was happy for them. Overall, the ice cream itself is a bit above average with some really interesting flavors. Glad to see small businesses like this open up. I do hope they can refine the customer service experience a bit more. Their ice cream has real potential to impress the right investors and grow if they can hire the right management team.

This was our third time dining here. I went down a star and gave it 4 stars this time instead of 5…read more The reasons: The lounge seating is all high top tables with bar stool seats without a back. The special trio of prosciutto tacos fell short. They were served on a large mound of salt and the taco shell was more of a waffle potato chip shell. The flavors didn't mesh well. The main shrimp dish had more of a Cacio de Pepe sauce as opposed to the cognac sauce the menu described. Lasagna and the gnocchetti cacio de pepe were very good and the shining star of the main course was the chicken Milanese which had a crispy outside and moist and tender with a citrusy dressing. The hazelnut gelato was delicious, it had a strong hazelnut flavor which we all loved. The pistachio crème brûlée could have had a little more pistachio flavor. Our server was great! She had good recommendations.

Came here on a Sunday for happy hour. I really wanted to sit outside but as the weather is starting…read moreto get cooler it was a bit chilly. Plus the outdoor beer garden isn't open on Sundays, so we decided to sit inside at the bar. The bar is small - only about 7 or 8 seats but there are a couple tables in that area. The happy hour deal is great!! You get your choice of cocktail + a small mini appetizer for $10. I think there were about 4 or 5 cocktails to choose from and 4 apps, which are bite sized minis from a regular appetizer -- it's a great way to taste test what's on the menu. All of the food was excellent. The only dish I didn't love is the octopus but I can be pretty picky about that. Our bartender Shelton was cool. He chatted with us most of the time, gave us reccos and gave us 3 month aged homemade limoncello when we were finished. My only gripe was the owner -- it felt like he didn't want Shelton talking to us so it made the vibe a little weird. Overall, very cute place for date night inside or outside!! Tasty food and great drinks. All the servers were cool, too. And I think this is a historical site as well.

New Milford, NJ - I love me some shaved ice and have been wanting to come here for a while, so we…read morefinally stopped by after a recent outing to the Bergen County Zoo and Van Saun Playground which are close by. Not only is the food awesome - I ordered a ramen, plain hot dog, and halo-halo shaved ice (addictively good) - but bonus stars to the staff who were sooo sweet! The Hawaiian style shaved ice and home-made ice cream are top notch. The ice cream is rich and delicious, with some unique flavors, and the shaved ice is very fine - fluffy and evenly slushy in texture and sweetness, unlike the inferior versions where you run into bland chips of ice. The toppings are yum too. The ramen noodles are springy, settled in a savory light broth. For a non-prestige grade ramen, I have no complaints. I also want to acknowledge the lovely hospitality. My child was in a tantrum-y mood and went to sulk by himself in a corner. Seeing the pouty little grump in a small fit, the girls at the counter coaxed him over with ice cream and stickers, which he of course eagerly accepted, pleased by the attention and confection, and was soon back to his endearing self. So I really appreciated their extra kindness! This is a fab joint for a quick-casual or just a perfect sweet treat!
