"You have to earn your sexy." -Phoenix, pole fitness instructor…read more"GIRL, THIS IS MY SONG!" -every student at some point during a class Euphoria is an intimate fitness studio featuring pole fitness, which is the HARDEST and most REWARDING exercise! My dear friend, who is having her marriage vows renewed on the beaches of the Florida Keys this summer, wanted to try a Groupon to Euphoria. While I had the hardest time ever trying to use their website and scheduling app, the classes have been such great fun! I've gone to 5 classes, *and* I can boast a few great moves that will make me feel sexy while I'm drunk at Memphis in May's BBQfest and swinging around the tent poles this year. Warm ups and stretches are challenging, and always include a hard core workout including loads of crunches, sit ups, and reaches. The studio offers boot camp classes and some yoga- style classes, but the pole fitness classes are a hard strength workout for the arms, wrists, shoulders, back, and abs. Within about 5 minutes of carrying your weight on the pole, you'll notice your forearms feel like Popeye's, after a can of spinach. Thick, strong, and scary powerful! I am on hiatus from these classes right now because of some gnarly poison ivy (who wants to rub open wounds on a pole?), but will be back as soon as I am healed up, twice a week! Alcohol-based spray and towels are provided to keep your equipment dry and clean as palms get sweaty, as well as yoga mats for stretches and warming up the muscles. The studio is pretty clean, too. All you need to bring is your bare feet and some booty shorts; don't be self-conscious, classes are no more than 5 people, and everyone is at least a little jiggly!

I called then and was assured I would get the deposit back in 7-10 business days on my card. I never received it! I called back two weeks later and was told I would get a check in the mail...in two weeks. It's now been a month and I have never received the refund. No one will return my calls from the new location. Completely unprofessional! Memphis has other great pole studios, please never choose Euphoria!!!!

This is an awesome business and I'm thrilled that this exists in Memphis. Aerial arts is a…read morespecialized discipline, so some aerial arts gyms can seem really "closed" to those of us who just have a passing interest -- not so with High Expectations. They hosted a beginners Valentines Day workshop yesterday night that my husband and I really enjoyed! The gym sent out important info via email beforehand (bring water and wear pants that cover the backs of your knees). Instructors Danielle and Anne were welcoming, encouraging, and informative. The gym was heated (but there's no A/C in the summer), and there was a large area with thick tumbling mats, aerial silks, static trapeze (not the flying kind) and hoops (there's an official "aerial" name for that which I can't remember). We got to try out each apparatus and learn a few partner tumbling moves -- it was a lot of fun! They offer beginning class series (I think they said they are starting a new partner series in March), private lessons ($70) and shared private lessons ($35 each, you find someone to share with you). There's also open gym on select evenings for $10 (if you're already a student at the gym and want to come practice). If you've never tried aerial arts before, you should give it a shot at least once! Even for beginners, it's fun and challenging, and the team at High Expectations is kind and supportive.

Some buildings are super old. I lived in West Village, Townsend and Stewart Halls. In the first one I needed to live with 5 other people, who were not carying about others space. Then moved to Townsend and got problems with big cockroaches in my room. Even though I kept it clean, cockroaches appeared out of nowhere and I was super scared of them, so I needed to sleep in common room for 2 days, because Pest Control works onky Monday and Thursday at mornings and nobody else could help me. I changed my dorm to Stewart and the room is finally good. Spacious, big windows and lot sof sunlight, but I saw cockroaches again in the corridor. I don't know what's the problem here with them, but I find then super annoying and scary. Other than that, in the breaks I, as an exchange student stayed on campus during most of the breaks and the fact that they ban meal plans during the breaks is still a question. You basically need to pay additional price in order for them to work. I don't know how it's dor US students, but beside awesome people, I find this place wearing pink glasses and ignoring problems that people have.
