My Facebook review from 2015:…read more For what you guys demand from the parents, the reward is almost nothing. The people that run your studio must love telling people "You can't...." You can't watch your daughter's practices, you can't take pictures, you can't have a life that exists outside of your own little ballet world. You can't see your daughter perform without buying a ticket so you can get even more cash. Get a grip! "Charlotte's Web" (if you can call it that) was the last straw! Of all the time, effort and money spent for just that one show, my daughter was only on stage 15 seconds out of the 3 hours. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I cannot fathom why you would do that to her. I gave up (almost) an entire weekend and spent $80 for tickets for my daughter and she, my family and I only got 15 seconds on stage total. Unbelievable! The only reason why you aren't getting a single star is because of the way my daughter is excited to go to class. At least you're doing ONE thing right. Parents: Be prepared to be "nickel-and-dimed" at every possible turn. And if your daughter gets invited to be in a special "show", be sure to ask how much stage time she gets before you say yes. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Hands down, Ballet Caliente has the best dance program available in Southern Maryland. This is not…read morea competition studio - it is focused on technique. The teachers are phenomenal and the annual productions are top notch.

I took my 3 year old daughter to try their ballet/ tap class and she was very excited to do the…read moreclass. We got there and she was very happy to try the class. She went into the studio with the other kids and was super excited but then suddenly, other girls started to cry for their parents and that made my little one started to cry too. I asked the teacher if I could sit inside so she would feel safer and the teacher Sandra said no. Then I asked the reception desk if another class was available so I could try if the instructor allowed me inside and they asked around and they all said no because the other kids would be distracted. I mean, I get it this shouldn't be the norm and parents should watch from outside but for someone doing the first class ever, maybe be a little bit more flexible wouldn't hurt. So they are not having me as a client and we are going somewhere else who can be more flexible with small kids who are just starting.

I have a two part review because my daughter takes ballet here and we just hosted her 3rd birthday…read morehere. Dance: We love it. She just started in September and I have been nothing but impressed. They are learning some foundational ballet movement and skill. The class also has strong age appropriate developmental components as well as preschool skills like knowing colors, shapes, sorting objects, listening to directions, etc. She loves her dance teacher, Ms. Tiffany, and never even had a second thought about going in to class without me. She is excited to go every week and often wants to stay for the ballet/tap combo class after. Birthday party: What a deal!!! Very reasonably priced. They provided pizza and juice boxes, but we were also allowed to bring in food. We did a gymnastics only party and the kids, ages 18 months to 9 years old didn't want to leave the room! The party host from the studio, was awesome. She spent time with all the age groups and made sure to interact with each child as well. Even some of the adults got in on the fun and she talked with us and laughed at our silliness. My husband, who didn't initially want to pay to have a party outside our home, left saying how easy it was and he would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It was nice to arrive, be present at the party instead of running all over while hosting at our house, enjoy our friends and family, and leave. I had mentioned to Maria, the studio receptionist, that my daughter had a new found love of Peppa Pig and they went above and beyond putting Peppa Pig heads on the balloons, the plates, table and a banner. It was so thoughtful and really showed a superior level of customer service in my mind.
