I don't even know the last time I was at Vestavia bowl! It was certainly wayyyyyy before my yelp era. Fast forward to 2026, I was recently here for an event that benefited heart health. It was a well organized event that went smoothly. We had 3 lanes reserved for 2 hours. Our group enjoyed the snack bar and the bar on site. There is also a game room. The staff I encountered were all nice. The restrooms were clean as well as the facility overall. Even though I didn't win, I still really had a fun time!!!! I definitely plan to do more bowling soon. read more

I hosted a family night at Vestavia bowl for our family reunion weekend. We booked their private event package, which includes 6 cosmic lanes and 2 hours of bowling for up to 36 people. The lanes are tucked away in the back, so you get the entire area to yourselves. One of the best parts is that you can pay a little extra to bring your own food. I definitely took advantage of that because why not? My only complaint is that 2 hours just isn't enough for a full event or party. I would suggest changing to at least 2 1/2 or 3 hours. Other than that, everything went smoothly from booking to check-in. Would definitely recommend for a fun group outing or celebration! read more

This bowling alley has a somewhat retro charm, and the small arcade adds a fun touch to the atmosphere. The food is surprisingly pretty good, and the bar stands out as one of the highlights for me. The bartenders are friendly, and the drinks are a solid deal. They are pretty tasty without being overpriced. The main drawback is the bathroom situation. They're very small and not always in the best condition, which can take away from the overall experience. Overall, it's a decent place to bowl, grab a bite, and enjoy a drink, but there's definitely room for improvement. I've been here several (like probably over a hundred LOL) times and I'll still come here, but there are definitely things I wish they would update. This entire building needs a redo. read more

A few of my mom friends and I decided to bring our kids here to enjoy a day of bowling before heading back to school after winter break. This was my first time ever coming to this bowling alley. To be honest, my perspective of this bowling alley was...isn't this the place that always floods? However, I was pleasantly surprised when I entered the bowling alley. It's pretty much your standard bowling alley. I noticed an arcade area. What was most impressive to me was the food. I wasn't going to order food at first, but then, I started to smell the food and it peaked my interest. I ended up ordering a Philly wrap and fried okra and for a bowling alley, this was a pretty good meal. The boys enjoyed themselves and the moms enjoyed ourselves. The service was great! Food and drinks were delicious. And the Alleys are clean and functioned well! This bowling alley is really nice and the customer service was welcoming. What I really loved is that they had a vending machine for socks because I forgot mine at home. I believe the cheapest ones were $3. They have a really nice looking arcade section and a good selection of food! I ordered mozzarella sticks! So delicious! And bacon cheese fries. These were tasty, but cooked a little hard. I also like that they serve frozen drinks as well as on the rocks. I ordered a strawberry daiquiri and then a Bahama mama. The bartender was a sweet heart and was not playing about IDs lol so make sure you don't forget. The lighting was really interesting too. I'd never been to a bowling alley that also made me feel like I was at a club so it was a fun experience all together! And thank you to the guy who picked up our bowling shoes! read more

Me and my friends were looking forward to a good game of bowling to celebrate his birthday, but our excitement went from happy to irritated. As soon as we walk in and headed to the counter, the employee inform us there were a tournament happening at 3:00pm which is fine, but why wasn't there a sign posted on the door to inform customers they'll be closing at 3:00 for a tournament. Most bowling alley accommodate other customers to bowl regardless if they're hosting a bowling tournament or not and the way she apologizes didn't feel like she was sorry. Not a bad bowling alley. I have been here a few times now and we always enjoy ourselves. This is a pretty typical bowling alley with a snack bar and a bar bar and a pretty large game room. Prices are pretty reasonable. We bowled two games for $14 per person. You can also rent a lane for two hours for $50 for 6 people. As per other bowling alleys, they provide balls and shoes with your rental. It can get crowded on the weekend but this is a large bowling alley and there are lots of lanes. We have never had to wait for a lane. Snack bar has munchies, pizza, melts, dogs and burgers and even a kids menu. Parking lot is very large although sometimes it floods in a heavy rain. read more

Planned a LGBT meet and greet for a few couples that I've come to know on social media and I thought bowling would be great and this was a semi central location for us all. They had a 2 game w/ shoe deal for $14.99 so that's what we all did there were 10 of us total. 2 ladies didn't bowl. I think the bowling center is very nice. It was spacious. They have a pretty big food selection for a bowling alley. They have a HUGE drink menu for a bowling alley lol. We had no issues with the lanes at all. A little crowded so that finding balls a challenge so we just shared a few. No one made us feel uncomfortable or unwanted which was awesome. A few stares initially but that's expected quite honestly. The staff was very helpful after the fact but the pre planning wasn't all that great. read more

As bowling ally's go this one is pretty decent, the prices are ok and cheaper if you go early on the weekends. The bowling surface are always clean and slick. They pretty much have a ball for everyone in the group for size and weight. My daughters school bowling team uses this place a good bit. I will also say this, the pro shop that this place has is really good. A friend of mine purchased his last ball from and they made sure they had all the holes positioned and cut perfectly!! i really thought the lady at the counter did a terrible job displaying customer service. It's one thing to have tournaments going on during the day or evening time because most bowling allies do, but I felt like their should have been a sign up to let people know about the tournament instead of closing all the lines to everybody else. read more

I took a small group recently on a Monday night and was easily able to get three lanes next to each other. The hourly bowling wasn't too bad at just under $20 an hour (that didn't include shoes). We were sipping on pitchers of beer that were easy to get from the nice lady working the beer window. The first couple of kegs we tried were all foam, but we settled on an equally watered down light beer. It was just right for washing down the really good pepperoni pizza that we shared from the snack bar. All of the employees were very nice and the entire place was very clean. After three consecutive 12 hour workdays, I wanted a distraction that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. There aren't many places to bowl near downtown BHAM, so bowling specials pretty much decided for us. It's easy enough to find right on Hwy 31 before you reach I 65 and parking isn't a problem either. It's pretty much your garden variety bowling alley with an outdated design, arcade, concession stand and bar. They were running a special of two games, a shoe rental and a soft drink for $6 which was right up our alley. We grabbed our shoes and drinks and headed to our alley. The shoes were actually in great condition but the lane was another story. The seating is super close to the next alley and half the buttons on the console didn't work. We ended up just pressing a bunch of random buttons which was actually funny. After finishing our game we headed over to the arcade. The games were fairly price and there was a machine that gave changed. We enjoyed a few games of skeeball and had a shoot out on a basketball game. The games give out tickets that you can trade in for fare but being the adult I am, I gave my tickets to a kid rather than trade them in myself. All in all, this was a nice distraction that was cheap as well. Next time I'll try to Glo-Bowl. read more

You would never need to worry about parking so don't worry about having to get there early to find a spot to park. Typical bowling alley for the area. Obviously they have bowling lanes, but in addition they serve food, drinks (including alcohol), and have a pro shop. Food and drink are typical bowling alley selections. Burgers, chicken fingers, fries, nachos, etc. I have not tried the food so don't have a review for that right now. Pro Shop: So if you get the itch to improve your game and are ready to take the leap and get your own bowling ball...this is the place that makes it happen. They have a variety of balls available that are suited for dry, oily or in between lane conditions. They will measure your hand and drill the ball out to fit you. Huge benefit in this as others have complained that they were unable to get a house ball that they liked. This eliminates that problem and will improve your bowling skills as you become familiar with one ball. Lanes: Tonight they were a little oily at the start of our session. Took a couple games to get warmed up/find a line to bowl. Lanes stayed pretty consistent for the two hour session and didn't require a lot of tinkering to find new lines. The pin setters are really quick and didn't jam up. Have had this problem with some of the other lanes locally. Overall a great value and will return. read more

Haven't been here in a while.... But my honey had her first meet and greet,as a moderator, with the lgbt club were are apart of here.. I can say it went quite well. The facility clean for the most part. The workers were courteous and helpful. They accommodated our need for multiple lanes beside each other with minimal issue. It was quite crowded, but we came in about 6 and was bowling by 6:20 so the wait wasn't too bad. The drinks were tasty and I love the authentic names they gave for the drinks. Creative. This is what customer service looks like when you arrive at the place only to be told they closed at 3:00pm all because they're hosting a bowling tournament. Most bowling alley can accommodate there customers, but apparently not here. I can understand if they had a signed up about them closing early, but I guess they're not too bright to think ahead on situations like these. read more

The place is fun and not too expensive. They have times where it's cheaper than other times. They have bumpers obviously, but also things to help kids roll the ball. There is one section that has lights and music videos that play. There is a bar and the food is pretty decent as well. My only complaints is the place could use some revamping in the decor and some better music videos. Lol read more

Vestavia Bowl... what to say? Not the largest, cleanest, coolest bowling alley ever, but definitely gets the job done if bowling is what you've gone to do!! The only staff we had a chance to interact with was definitely nice. Just taking a glance from one end of the facility to the other, something about it says a little cramped and a little outdated. Of course there are people everywhere as it was a Saturday night, but still could use a little more room. This could also be attributed to the fact that there was a kids party next to our lane and they had extra "props" along with them. By props I mean large, orange dinosaurs that allow kids to roll the ball down their back and tail to get good aim and speed. It has a separate game room as well as a bar area, neither of which we visited this go 'round. The balls and lanes themselves were just fine, although with so many people there it was difficult to find balls of certain weight/size. I do like how all the same sized balls are placed on the same racks though. All in all... enjoying a bowling outing depends on your group and whether or not you actually like to bowl. I'm sure I'll return to Vestavia Bowl at some point... not my go-to pick tho :) read more

The staff was so nice and very helpful when we were picking out our gear! They were busy but still very efficient with helping us as well as other customers out in a timely manor! Saturday night, vintage entertainment. Yes, bowling is an old-school type of activity, but when there is beer flowing and good friends, campy sports are ok, right? This bowling center was BUSY on that fateful Saturday night...so much so that we had to sign in onto a waiting list that we were told was 45 minutes long! We decided to get some dinner and drinks while we waited. Snack bar actually has a pretty extensive, albeit basic, menu. We were expecting nacho cheese type sauce, but my grilled chicken nachos actually had melted cheddar and monterey jack cheese as well as grilled chicken breast that was seasoned with some VERY tasty mystery seasoning (I know, sounds ominous, but get your mind out of the gutter...see what I did there? Gutter? At the bowling alley? I digress..) The hubs got a bacon cheese burger that looked REALLY good (it wasn't shred, so that's a good sign, right?) and a friend had a Philly Cheese sandwich, which she said was very good. (She's from Pennsylvania, so that holds extra weight). Went to order drinks and I was again impressed at the selection. There was a HUGE menu of fru-fru drinks and shooters (not my style, but appropriate for the crowd, it appeared), but the specials were surprising! They had Avondale's Spring Street Saison as one of their beer specials! Seemed fancy for a bowling alley...that facade was smashed on finding that their "premium pour" gin was Beefeaters...but hey, I did't have a problem with that...they have a clientele that they cater to, and that, too was appropriate. BACK TO THE BOWLING-the 45 minute wait was actually much shorter. We paid what ended up being about $14.00 per person to bowl for 2 hours. Pretty good deal, I would say! There were a few bumps in the road...our lane kept freezing, so I felt like we wasted at least 20 min of that time waiting for them to reset the lanes. They always did, and at one point they added 5 minutes to our time left, but it was a bit of a pain for our games to keep getting interrupted like that. The balls that were available to us by the time we got there were also kind of a pain...they were either WAY too heavy or way too light. There were lots of balls in the building, but the most commonly used ones were all already taken. All in all, a fun night with friends. Decent food, especially considering the venue, and good drinks made up for some of the trouble, but I think they could have done better. read more

This place can be split into 3 parts. Bowling. Food. Bar. The bowling was ok. Lanes sent in best shape but the scoring computers work well and they have plenty of balls to use. They have little ramps for small kids to roll the ball down. Problem we had was our lane kept dying and we had to call maintenance. You rent by the hour so loosing time for maintenance sucked. They gave us some but not enough. Food was surprisingly good. Very slow but tasty. I got a cheeseburger that was very good. My wife got grilled chicken nachos. The chicken was actually very tasty. Bar was sooooooo slooooooow. We had enough time for 6 people to take 2 turns a piece waiting. The people in front of me ordered 1 pitcher, 3 shots, and 3 sodas. I waited for 15min for them to get there stuff. So slow. Also the bartender had to look up how to make the drink they had on special. read more

Came here as part of a private party. The venue was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. It's been about 20 years since I've bowled and loved the automated scoring for each lane!!! Their bar menu has a large selection to choose from, and we had pitchers of Sam Adams Summer Ale. Our hosts for this event were allowed to have pizza delivered even though they serve food and their menu looks really good. They must be accustomed to hosting bowling for little ones as we saw a big plastic slide or ramp being used to get their bowling ball down the alley....so must be a fun place for kid's parties. The seating in the bowling area seemed a little tight. There were tables for the players and the chairs were attached in an awkward way until you figured out how to move the chair away from the table.
