Based on his experience and their examination, they started treatment with the basics (she was dehydrated so saline infusion, an appetite stimulant, and offering our cat wet food), and that began her recovery. UPDATE: This should have been written earlier, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. After the lack of service received from Vet to You, my beloved cat got much worse in a short period of time. I called other vets and the last vet that I had taken her to, finally suggested that I take her to an Emergency Vet near me. Sadly, they found that she had bone cancer and there was nothing that could be done. I had to put my friend and companion of 16.5 years down. Maybe if this so called vet who came to my home had been accurate something could have been to save her. Yes, she lived a long life, but the end was sad and horrible and Vet to You is to blame. If you love your pet as much as I loved mine, please don't use the services of this so-called vet. I am sure there are better providers out there. They deserve better and so do you. read more

Best Vet in the valley!!!! After seeing 3 other vets during a few months time (2 of which suggested we put down our 11 year old bulldog) Vet to You saved my little fur baby!! Dr. Gilchrist came to my house yesterday to check on my 2 cats. Dr. Gilchrist and his associate were so warm and welcoming. My cats were so comfortable with them! After going to Scardy Cat Hospital in Scottsdale since I moved here, I decided to try another doctor. They wanted to pull between 6-10 teeth on my cats each! That was going to be thousands of dollars and I thought it was really extreme because 2 years ago I took them and the doctor who started the clinic said they were fine. The new doctor who has since taken over was the aggresive one. Dr. Gilchrist said he didn't even see tarter on one of mine (8 and 7yrs respectively) and the other was just a little. Nothing to worry about. Wow! What a difference! My cats usually are stressed and lose a ton of hair after a vet visit and they were just fine when he left. Dr Gilcrest and Alex are lifesavers!! My cat, Jett, is really anxious on car trips. So i have to admit that I usually avoid taking him to the vet for regular checkups even though I know it's in his best interest. No need to avoid the vet anymore! Using a mobile vet was SO convenient. A little pricey ($60 for the visit. $60 for travel fee.) But worth every penny!!!! My cat got to have a vet exam right in the comfort of my bedroom. He was able to stay pretty calm---far more calm than he would have been if Id had to put him in a carrier, ride in the car and hang out around other animals at the traditional vet. The quality of care my pet received was outstanding. Dr G and Alex are very knowledgeable---- they answered tons of questions, took their time with us and even had good suggestions for an (unrelated) scorpion problem in our home. They were so kind. We had an emergency situation with my cat and Dr. Gilchrist came over and was able to catheter my cat and remove an obstruction that could have been fatal if not attended to - all on the bedroom floor! We've had the same procedure done at the ER clinic and that cost me several thousand dollars, as well as an incredible amount of trauma for my cat (and us). I used Vet To You's services so that my cat could pass at home. Dr. Gilchrist and Alex were very respectful and couldn't have handled the very sad (for me) situation better. I had called two other mobile vet companies but Vet To You was much more responsive to my phone calls and emails than the other companies. When I was initially making the phone calls to various mobile vets, Dr. Gilchrist's customer service was the most appropriate. Dr. Gilchrist is THE BEST! Trying to find a Vet, I am disabled and was home for a week, alone, and my service dog "Rocky" was hurt really bad, bleeding, etc., following a terrible accident. I was so helpless and did not know who to call or what to do. With no car, I had made over two dozen calls during that afternoon to other Vets to see who could come help Rocky & me, with no luck. All other vets did not seem to care ... EXCEPT DR. GILCHRIST! That man - a U.S. Marine - and WOW does he live up to their creed - called me that night at 10:00pm! "I hope I'm not contacting you too late?" OMG ... My Prayers were answered! After giving me triage instructions, he made room in his schedule the very next day at Noon. Sure enough, Dr. Gilchrist and his assistant knocked on my door at 11:59am. Ready to go, they took charge immediately! "Rocky" was laid down and prepped for minor surgery. (I was passed out!) I have a Red Tail Boa and he got out and was missing for 25 months, I looked for him for over a year, and nothing. 25 months later he was under my stairs and not in very good shape. Hearing of Dr. Gilchrist, I contacted him and asked his advice on what to do. He gave me several suggestions of things I should do, which I did as he said. I have been using Dr Gilchrist for over 15 years. There is not a better vet in town. We welcome him into our home and enjoy the connection that he has with our baby (10 year old boxer/pit bull mix). While at our home, Dr Gilchrist is not rushed to go to the next exam room as in a typical vet's office. He takes his time with both of our dogs, and assesses their environment for any changes that we may need to make to ensure their health and safety. I called this vet for help when my dog was really sick, and I was desperately trying to find out what was wrong with him. He said he would get back to me after he took a look at my dogs CBC /chem and radiographs from the vet I took him to previously. I was extremely concerned with my dogs lack of eating for a few days at that point, so, I asked him if he had any advice. He told me to get my dog a plain hamburger from McDonald's which made me very skeptical because liver failure or pancreatitis were not ruled out as possible diagnosis and everything I read advised against this as it could worsen his condition. I emailed Dr. Gilchrist my dogs medical records as well as trying to express my gratitude that he would be willing to look at the medical test and possibly point me in the right direction to get my dog the help he needed. He never got back to me. I tried to contact him again to ask him if he had, had the time to look it over when I did not hear anything from him. Still, he never responded. I Love my dog so much. So much. If he was unable to look it over (which I offered to pay him) he should have just let me know. I originally was calling to see if he could come give my dog another examination and I obviously would have paid whatever the fees were that went along with his services. He never even made that an option. This was very unprofessional and disheartening.
