This was easily one of the most fun things I did in Vegas. The drive from the Strip to the river is about an hour and actually really scenic, you pass some pretty cool rock formations along the way. We had Brett as our guide and he was awesome. The weather couldn't have been better and the water really is that bright green you see in photos. When the sun hits it just right, it's unreal. The whole kayak route is beautiful, and we even saw a bald eagle flying overhead, which was a nice surprise. Tips: Don't book this if you're not in decent shape, it's about 3-4 miles of kayaking. If you're unsure, go for a tandem kayak and bring someone to share the work. It'll make the experience way more enjoyable. Just make sure to request a tandem kayak in advance read more

Great day kayaking the Colorado River. Brett is knowledgeable, kind and funny. He went the extra mile to make sure our group had a wonderful time. We saw birds of prey, herons, loons, and big horn sheep with their baby sheep at the rivers edge. Go in the morning to see emerald green water and experience less wind while kayaking. Griffin was a fun and informative guide. He was super relatable, personable and knowledgeable of all the local areas. Kept our group safe, went at a great pace for everyone and we all had an amazing time. It was hot but since the Colorado River is always cool, it didn't feel as hot as it was. 100% take the 9am tour!! Not as busy with all the paddlers and kayakers. We didn't have to wait but 5min for the Emerald Cave (although the sun wasn't shining into it). Didn't matter because the entire Colorado River is green! Sundays there are not motorboats allowed. Kayaks were comfy, seats didn't have any rips or anything. There were single and double seaters. The paddles were in great condition. Griffin had granola bars, chips and waters for us. He took pictures with our cameras for us. Overall it was great. 100% recommend Veterans Kayaks! read more

Originally we had booked with Vegas Glads Kayaks and they canceled on us 26hrs before our reservation. We had already reserved our campsite and traveled to Willow Beach and we had 2 dogs in tow.
