I personally had an amazing time, it was such a wholesome experience. I came in January so the weather in Las Vegas was nice, it's chilly so I obviously dressed accordingly & therefore had no problem. I also did the sunrise ride instead of sunset. The breakfast was also delicious & filling. My group was able to relax by the fire afterwards & pet the goats. I absolutely adore dogs so Hooligan was the star of the show for me. He's the sweetest boy ever. I will totally be doing this again! (Only thing I'll add is that I drove up to the area, I didn't use the shuttle. Which allowed me to use the restrooms in the Chevron on the way there & back. The restrooms on the ranch are porta potty's which is why I just used the restroom before & after) read more

I booked this trip through Nellis Outdoor Rec. It was horrible. We were scheduled to go yesterday and it rained the entire day, miserable, cold, pelting downpour. I kept checking my email to see if they would do the sensible thing and allow us to reschedule the trip to another time. Because who wants to ride a horse in a downpour? But I guess they wanted us to either not show up (so they can keep our money) or show up and do the half ride (because the horses were miserable in the rain and wanted to go back and the guests were equally miserable and they still get to keep all our money). Upon arrival, this "guide" came out, Gecko. He didn't offer helmets and was annoyed when I asked for one. He offered very basic instructions to a group of inexperienced riders. He demanded tips right off the bat instead of focusing on delivering good service first. He also took one single horrid photo of me when I was not ready and not prepared. It was a disappoint experience where we didn't get to experience any sunsets or good views, had to ride in the pelting cold rain, and felt very neglected for by our guide. read more

Overall AMAZIN experience. From the moment we were picked up. The driver was friendly and got us to the trail location safely and in time. Upon arriving we were greeted by Chanel who was our instructor. She provided clear instructions on how to handle the horses. The trail was very relaxing and had beautiful Mountain Views. Our experience was great from beginning to end first we were promptly picked up by Denny our driver/ cook who pointed out fun facts about last Vegas on our 45 min to Moapa Valley. We were then greeted by our two tour guides Leo and Chantel who had already tacked up all the horses and did a good job assigning each horse to every person there shortly after Chantel gave us a small block of instruction on how to maneuver your horse and ease the nerves of those who were a bit nervous. Then began our 1 hour (round trip) ride up towards the mountain where we took some awesome pictures and had some great sunset scenery and then slowly worked our way back towards the barn area. (Can not forget to mention the two cutest dogs who joined us on the whole trip) The horses were very well trained they practically rode themselves you really just had to stop them from wanting a snack every few feet LOL After arriving back at the barn area we were then greeted once again by Denny who had cooked up a DELICIOUS meal and had the table served out accordingly by party and to top it off a warm apple pie. After dinner we got to take a picture on the bull and polish up our lassoing skills while making great conversation with our tour guides, we then jumped back in the van where Denny drove us back to our hotels. what a great experience from when I first started to plan this back in August for my birthday in October. Jason was very communicative with me via email with all my questions. shuttle service pick up Denny was great loves to have lots of conversations which makes the drive go by quick. we got to the ranch was greeted by Chanel and the ranch men helped match us and get us all saddled up the trail was nice and easy got to snap some fun photos for memories. What a great experience away from the busy, bustling Las Vegas Strip. It's a long trek to the ranch so sit back and enjoy the scenic route. We stopped at 3 hotels along the way to pick up other guests. Drinking was allowed it seems cause another group had brought a 6 pack of beer to drink en route and our driver was ok with it. We shared our tour with 2 sets of couples and a family with a 8 year old little girl. All very nice folks and we chatted the whole drive with our very friendly driver. Upon arriving at the ranch, it was like I was transported to Westworld. It was so neat seeing the farm, the horses and the beautiful mountains in the distance. We were introduced to our tour guides and their adorable pups. One spoke English fluently and the other was enough to help us on the tour. We were then introduced to our horses. They were chosen for us and once we were on our horses, we were given some quick pointers on how to hold the reigns and how to get the horse to start walking. This is definitely a tour for beginners. If you've never been on a horse, you'll be fine. The horses are super mellow and very slow. We were not allowed to trot or gallop, which was sad to me as I have experience on a horse. The horses do not seem to find any interest in more than following the horse in front of them. Though mine seemed to be a bit more on the fun side compared to the others. The dogs actually ride on the backs of the horses too which was so cute to see. Our trail was smooth and with no obstacles. Perfect for kids. Not much to see along the way except desert as expected. The sunset was beautiful though. It's a little chilly at night in October and very sandy/dusty so you may want to bring a jacket and a bandana for your face. My only complaint is the folks that were drinking in the car ride asked to stop twice because they had to pee and there was no bathrooms along the way. So the group had to stop and wait and the second time we just split up.Not the tour guide's fault, just inconsiderate guests. Then one of the family members of the other group was obviously very high and almost falling off the horse from leaning side to side with his eyes closed. Very dangerous and he held up the line cause he was barely alive enough to ride. Again, not the fault of the tour guide. Just wish we had a more considerate group. Dinner was steak, baked potato and corn with a slice of apple pie. The steak was a bit overcooked for my taste. The potato was fine and the corn was just corn. Everything was very bland. After dinner, we sat around the campfire and chatted. Then was dropped back off to our individual hotels. Overall good experience. read more

What a cute and fun experience! I paid for the sunset horseback riding for my fiancé and I on his birthday. We were picked up in front of Bally's by Denny who was both our driver and cook. He was on time and even waited until every person was accounted for because some people got a little lost. It was about a 45 minute drive to our destination, which was Moapa Valley. During the ride, Denny pointed out some fun facts here and there about some of the buildings in Vegas. The ride was smooth and relaxing. Once we arrived at our destination, we were instantly greeted by the 2 tour guides. We were given water that we could take on the horseback ride with us. The tour guides quickly went over instructions on how to ride the horse, and then chose each horse for us to get on. I would not necessarily consider this horseback riding, just because you have to walk in a single file line with your horse that goes pretty slow lol. Nonetheless, it's a good experience especially if it's your first time or are a little scared. The horses were super cute and funny. I honestly don't know how long we rode the horses for, but it was definitely for awhile. It was a very relaxing and calming experience. The only thing I would advise is to bring sunglasses, especially if it is windy!! I had so much dust and dirt going into my eyes during the ride. Once we got back to the main site, our food was hot and fresh waiting for us at their eating area. I had requested chicken and got my fiancé the steak. Our meals also came with bread, corn, and a baked potato. We were even given a slice of apple pie for dessert. The food was super super good! I was pleasantly surprised. After we ate, one of the tour guides let us meet one of their bulls, Mac Daddy lol. What a cutie! He let us pet him & go on top of him so we could take pictures. Don't wait! BOOK NOW! This was such a great experience! Everyone on the ranch was friendly and treated you like family. The actual trail ride is about 90 mins and breakfast (or dinner) is served after you return. The voucher said it was a 6 hour tour (accounts for pick up/drop off/riding/meal) so we were hesitant to book, but so happy we did. They picked us (along with a couple other groups) up at our hotel then we headed to the ranch (about 45 mins from Vegas). Once at the ranch we were met by Caesar and Julio (they are so friendly and funny) who gave us a quick do's and don't about riding then we were off! We did the AM ride and it was perfect. I would recommend layering up if you do the AM ride. The high for the day was supposed to be 53 so we knew it was going to be chilly. Thank you so much Wild West Adventures! 15/10 highly recommend!! My boyfriend and I wanted to celebrate our anniversary by doing something different then what us Las Vegas locals usually do, going on the strip to dinner or what not. We decided on this tour we found online. We chose the morning tour. We had our choice of being picked up at a hotel of our choice or driving ourselves, we chose to just drive ourselves so we could sleep in a little longer. From the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly. Our guide, Caesar, gave us a thorough run down of how to properly ride so that no one felt uneasy. We got going and enjoyed about an hour or longer of a ride through hills and plains. Hector also accompanied us and both of the guides were funny and very nice. They always stopped to make sure everyone was together or offered to take pictures. They told jokes, stories, and pointed out animals along the way. Their two little dogs kept up with us to warn us of wild life also!! We returned to a nice, huge, breakfast and juices. They showed us the bulls and took pictures. My Family and I were looking for something different and off the strip, and it was a great experience. My Wife and I had ridden horses maybe twice before and my 11 & 14 year old's had never ridden. We were picked up right on time for the morning ride 7:20am from our hotel in a clean and comfortable van. Our driver was also our cook and was extremely friendly and had lots of great information regarding landmarks during our 45 minute drive up to the ranch. Once we arrived at the ranch we were greeted by a awesome Father and Son team along with 4 extremely friendly Australian dogs. We were instructed by our guides on how to mount, control, steer the horses, in addition to learning the lay of the land. They comp'd us based on size to an appropriate horse and we were off in a straight line into the trail. I wouldn't call it "horseback riding" since the horses were basically on auto-pilot and walked in a straight line which was perfect since we had the kids who have never ridden before. You could get them to lean a certain direction or stop. A lot of times you have to yank the horses to prevent them from stopping to eat shrubbery. The trainers are great and they tell you all about the horses' stories, the ranch history and also ask you questions to make you feel at ease. You can pretty much ask any question about horses & riding to them and they will provide a great story. At the mid-point of the loop, the horses stop to catch their breath and the guides take solo and group pictures. The guides are patient and take many pics for you. Once you arrive back at the ranch the driver/cook has a nice breakfast of eggs and bacon or sausage and amazing seasoned potatoes along with hot coffee and oj / water. Once breakfast was done the guide walked through how to rope a cow and gave everyone a opportunity to try it out which was a great surprise. Overall an amazing first experience riding horses and a great way to spend an early morning for an adventure. Make sure to tip your guides & cook! read more

This is the most authentic country horseback riding I've ever done. Cesar was a awesome tour guide, made us feel extremely comfortable and kept us laughing with conversation also the way. The dinner was very Cowboy original. Steak , corn , baked potato , and a slice of warm apple pie. What more could you ask for when wanting a traditional cowboy experience ? Joe picked us up and told us stories all the way there while pointing out interesting new places to explore while in town. Caesar got us settled on the horses and off we went into the sunset. Went horseback riding on 12/10 and had so much fun. It was about a 45 minute drive from downtown and easy to find. We did the breakfast tour and they serve a big meal after the horseback riding. The horses are well trained and amiable. Mine's name was Coppenhaggen and we were joined on the trail by 3 sweet Australian cattle dogs. At one point one dog jumped on the horse and rode with the guide! Everyone from the guide, the horse handler and cook were so friendly. I wanted to get out of the city and try something different. This was absolutely an amazing experience! If you are a beginner or first time horse rider (like myself) or have some experience you'll be sure to enjoy this experience. I will say summer months; expect to sweat (a lot), so dress comfortably for sure. We plan on doing the "sunset" version of this and also in the cooler autumn/winter months. Our driver and cook "D" was amazing, super nice, early, and cooked a great breakfast. A cowboy named Cesar greeted us; really nice, patient and knowledgeable. Made sure we all felt comfortable, safe and easy about getting on the horses. He also made sure to take plenty of pictures and have great conversation with each rider. My horse (gunner) was the best !!! My partners horse (gold dust) was always hungry lol but cute; and she has a pep in her walk and can really get going . The trail is easy, relaxing and has some nice views. Be on the look out for the random llamas too . Overall, we loved it and enjoyed interacting with the doggos, and the cutest mini bull "Mac daddy". This is an excellent way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We were in Vegas from 6-9 to 6-14, just as they were beginning to open back up. We had researched things to do and this excursion came up, there is both a breakfast ride and a sunset dinner ride. When we called, we were disappointed that they had not met the minimum number to go out, but a few minutes later they called back and said the would take the two of us, Yea! We chose the breakfast ride, thinking that we could get in in before it got too hot.(It was 103 that day). Our driver was prompt with picking us up from our hotel and it was about a 50 minute ride out in the desert. Our driver did point out places of interest such as The Las Vegas Motor Speedway, The ranch is in Moapa Valley and is part of the reservation. There was a small ranch house, a corral of 23 horses, some goats and chickens and some dogs (including two puppies). We got saddled up and off we went with Jaime as our guide. The dogs actually came along on the ride and this was the puppies first try. They did not make it. They got too hot and tired and started whining so Jaime called his son to come out with the truck and pick them up. The ride was beautiful, seeing all the red rock and sand formations,We saw jackrabbits, lizards and even a herd of big horn sheep. Ride time is about 90 minutes. When we got back to the dance, breakfast was waiting for us. We had bacon, eggs, pancakes and hash browns, coffee, and juices. We were free to wander around and pet the animal before the ride back. You can even get a used horseshoe (for good luck). The ride back was quiet, as we were exhausted already, but again ride was air conditioned and very scenic. I whole heartily recommend. read more

My daughter and I did the Sunrise Horseback Ride yesterday. What a nice time. The guides were great. The scenic views were beautiful. Right when you arrive, you will be greeted by the sweetest dogs ever, that also join for the ride. We saw a big-horn sheep during the ride. I felt like the amount of time on the horses was appropriate. Afterwards, we had a warm, delicious breakfast of eggs, cowboy potatoes, pancakes, sausage or bacon, apple juice, and coffee. Before departure, I used a lasso and on the 3rd try, hooked the "steer". We also had time to spend with the horses again. I would very much like to go on their sunset ride. Perhaps in the future, should they create a new path to ride to see different views, I would most definitely want to go again. We missed over an hour and a half of the horseback ride because of the company's transport making us late, Jason the owner was notified of several complaints and didn't care and had an excuse for everything. He clearly has an issue with criticism. The actual staff at the ranch were amazing but the driver/cook was awful. He warned us to "let him know if we get too scared" with his driving when he was running late. There weren't enough potatoes, meal was overall just awful and not authentic. The cook told someone in the group he dropped the corn on the ground and he hopes it would be okay (after already having it in her plate.) Honestly, go find another ranch to give your money to because Jason doesn't deserve a dime. If you'd like to know what kind of person he is go look at his reply on several reviews on viator. We were picked up from our hotel lobby for a 1 hour drive outside of Vegas. The drive was relaxing and the scenery was nice. We arrived at the ranch and after some instructions and potty breaks we were given a horse. The trail ride was nice, the views were pretty and I enjoyed being on the back of a horse. This trail ride is for less experienced riders. It is slow. There is not any trotting or cantering or galloping. I recommend this adventure for those with children or those without any experience. We enjoyed a nice steak dinner for him and chicken for me. The food was yummy and for me better because I was eating the company of horses, goats and inside a barn! It was a fun adventure.
