They audit people. Which means if you get selected you have to post a picture of you and your family at the event holding a sign or your account will be locked. Every single time I get tickets I get threatening messages to post a spicific picture, holding a spicific sign, of a spicific size, with spicific people in a spicific place. (((I dont like it))) It is harassment, it feels like a violation. I stay up until midnight whenever I have an event I get tickets to because of the anxiety this causes me. I stay up just post the picture so I can finally relax. Not to mention the anxiety I feel at the event that I will get the picture wrong and be banned. I am embarrassed of my body size. I never post pictures online of myself now I am forced to. I dont have any social media and the one I have, I keep one friend and nothing, nothing is public so this is terrible to me. I dont want pictures of my kids online for the public to view and over and over and over again I am forced and threatened into compliance, into doing things that make me uncomfortable. As a crime victim I really, really enjoy being anonymous and this puts my name, pictures, and information out there to the public forever. I have no control over pictures of me or my kids online here. Before this I always posted thank you letters after every event. I have never missed an event or thank you. I have never broken any rules. Why this? Why now? Why me? I would rather pay or not go somewhere than use Vet Tix ever again. I feel humiliated and I feel uncomfortable knowing my pictures and my kids pictures are out there for the public to see and I can never take them down. Free tickets are not worth it. VetTix is the real deal. Many "veteran" centered discount sites are not what they are hyped to be. VetTix does an outstanding job of getting great tickets for all types of entertainment, filtering the data to your interests, and only collecting a delivery charge. I have researched the value of many of my tickets and found most to be listed well over $100 each. A side benefit is your tickets are often in a block of seats occupied by other vets who share your respect for the National Anthem and conduct themselves a little above the normal fan. I have purchased tickets, been in numerous ticket lotteries (with a pretty good selection rate), and scooped up unclaimed lottery tickets. My processing fee for four tickets has never been over $20 and I always include a donation of $5 per ticket. I always make a sign, wear a VetTix shirt, get a picture at the venue, and submit a thank you to the sponsors. It is a Very small price to pay for great seats and a chance to socialize. The only two negatives - The lack of a communication channel. I don't have any idea of their size or staffing, but the abundance of tickets suggests it is more than a basement operation. Adding a couple dedicated customer service reps would help their customer base considerably. The lack of an option, at ticket request, to include handicapped accessibility. My nephew has MD and uses a wheelchair. You have to declare in your profile if YOU require ADA tickets. There are events I would like to invite him to attend with me, but I am unable to request handicapped seating. You are also forbidden from contacting the event sponsor, so my only option is to invite him when I receive suite tickets. read more

If you are a Veteran and like to do stuff, I mean free stuff then make sure you are a part of Vet Tix. Very simple. make an account. they verify your status. once that's done you set up your profile of things you like. the list is very long so don't think it's just sports, music, etc. I have it where they email me daily to show me events that pop up in my area. I believe the area they search is about 150 miles (don't quote me). If your interested click on it and get tickets. Ok so you're thinking??? what's the catch??? well there is a little catch, but it's really nothing. Only thing I ever pay is the transfer fee through Ticketmaster. It ranges $10 to $15. Thats it. Now sometimes you are only al a certain amount of tickets at a time. I went to a concert solo because I was only offered one. But that's ok it was more than worth it. Some events will offer you up to four tickets. Now they will warn you, do not try to sell these tickets. They keep track of who's showing up. The Vet has to go. Fine by me. I've taken my three boys with me to events that could possibly cost hundreds of dollars, and only paid $15 to transfer tickets. You cannot beat that! To transfer tickets you must have a smart phone which they tell you when you sign up. Other than that it's been a very exciting couple years using them. Best part is when you go to pay transfer fee it allows you to donate back to Vet Tix. They use the donations to help buy more tickets. I always try to give something. They literally have an option for a $1. They also do other trips for families of active duty personnel which is very cool. If your a Vet, you have to check them out. read more

We have enjoyed attending five events so far thanks to VetTix. Using a virtual coin bidding process, vets can win tickets to events and pay only a low processing fee. I've paid only $14 for two tickets to events that cost a minimum of $50/ticket! And at times, tickets are just up for grabs and there is no bidding process. Earning coins for bidding is easy...post reviews - share pictures of yourself at the events - refer other vets. There is a catch - you have to commit to attending the event. Negative reviewers claim they are penalized for missing events. VetTix does understand life happens and you can let them know you can't make it. I have made it to all my events, though, so I can't comment on the process. The website is simple and saves your information. I've had no problems with security. I can see all the events I've attended and all the reviews I've shared. VetTix has a useful search feature. If you live in or near a metropolitan area, there are lots of options - concerts, professional sports, comedy shows, monster truck events, family events, etc. And if you don't mind a road trip, you can search nearby cities. You can customize your search to filter out events you don't care to attend. Vets also have the option to make donations in the form of tickets or cash. They can also see the 'wishes' of other vets asking for contributions. I'm not sure how I feel about that feature because some of these people are of high rank. I read some of the one-star reviews and while I feel for those people I have not had any kind of bad experience with VetTix. If you're a vet, it's worth a try. read more

So it baffles me on how an organization that is dedicated to helping veterans get free tickets to a crazy amount of events can have anything other than five stars for a rating. I have been using VetTix for many years now and have been able to attend countless events from NASCAR races, MLB games, concerts, golf tournaments, and several other things because of VetTix. The performers, organizations, and generous individuals who make this possible deserve a ton of credit and thanks as well. I have seen over the course of the past few years some complaints about people losing their VetTix access for not using the tickets or being caught transferring or even reselling tickets. There are unfortunately some situations that come up where people cannot attend an event and while I can't say for certain, I'm pretty sure VetTix is not banning people after a single incident of that happening. I would think they are looking for trends and if people are signing up for tickets and frequently not using them, then they should be banned from using this amazing service. If people are selling these tickets after obtaining them, they should absolutely be banned as well. As is the case with many things in life, it only takes a small minority of people to ruin a good thing for all. I also recommend that anyone who uses VetTix to also donate at least $10 or more back with each transition to the tickets for vets fund and to also setup their Amazon Smile account which contributes small amounts of each Amazon purchase to VetTix. read more

I have used 1st Tix for many years after my son referred me from Vet Tix. The organization does not charge fees for tickets. They use Ticketmaster and a few other ticket distribution companies to get you your tickets and those companies charge a fee, and you know what that fee is BEFORE you order the tickets. I don't know why the negative reviews harp on this. The ticketmaster fee is not a single ticket fee, either. It's for the entire transaction, so typically 1-4 tickets have a total ticketmaster fee of $14.97. The only negative I have is the website is hard to understand and navigate. Trying to contact someone to help is next to impossible. Sometimes you are required to send a picture from the event to prevent fraud. I travel to see my adult children who are no longer at home. They live in different states, and if I find an event to go to in those states, I expect to have to provide a picture as proof I was using the tickets. The organization also uses a coin (points) system. You receive points monthly, by doing surveys, and by sending in thank you pictures after the event. You get extra coins (points) if your picture has a thank you sign, wearing Vet Tix, 1st Tix clothing, having children in the picture, etc. You use the coins to add additional chances to win popular events in lottery, like concerts, sporting events. Vet Tix was a great idea to help veterans and help event coordinators write-off unsold tickets shortly before the date an event is scheduled for. Helps both the venue/performers, and our nation's veterans. More veterans and event promoters should know about this. My only complaint is that I am required to post a photo of myself at the event, if I want to say thanks to the event promoter. I am a veteran who was denied veterans benefits for a decade because my sexual assault in Iraq was covered up with a bad paper discharge. It took my suicide attempt in 2009, and a letter to Obama's White House in 2016, to get the help I am owed. I don't want to post my face in a forum among other veterans. I don't trust the people who denied me justice for that felony and denied me the vet benefits I earned serving in propaganda about imaginary "weapons of mass destruction". I have severe anxiety problems. My rapist was never prosecuted and got an honorable discharge. He probably also uses your service. He lives in San Bernardino, so when I attend events in Southern California, I do what I always do and watch my back. If I ever see him, I will leave immediately.
