The poutine was made with real homemade gravy, fresh fries and cheese melted (not curds) on top. Mmm. My son went back 4 times to the buffet and left a clean plate. The 15 or so desserts seemed to be made in house, and incredibly tasty. The choices were numerous, as one could order off the menu or buffet. The waitress even brought out onto the deck a bowl of water for our dog. She was genuinely concerned with our needs and while being very busy & the only one on the deck serving, she was attentive, friendly, and definitely a lovely person. She added a few more stars to our 10 star rating. It is a country, friendly, and reasonably priced eatery. It could use some paint but the service, quality and cost definitely out weights it.

Apparently they had problems with some people from the school so they are tarring all the students - even professionals in their 30s like my husband - with the same brush. He went last night with a group from the school and was treated very rudely by management. His group wasn't unruly (couldn't be since a limit on drinks exists for students) and he was served overdone chicken wings that would have best served as dog treats. They won't tell you about the 2-drink limit they've imposed on students until you have ordered because they want your money. They should really just put a sign on the door stating that they don't want business from the school, but they won't do this because they are a business in a small town and need all the money they can get - however they will treat you terribly when you get there so don't bother going. Treating all students from the school as if they had the same personality as the one guy who they had issues with is a discriminatory business practice and these owners deserve all the blowback they can get from being rude to students at the school. Maybe as penance they can try eating some of their overcooked chicken wings.

As a campground: I have seen much nicer grounds. I am camping with a tent and I am use to having either a nice view of a lake/river/forest or at least a privet site surrounded by trees so I feel I have privacy. This is not the case here, or lots are small, one next to the other and very exposed. We choose the river view and found ourselves with a nice view BUT between us and the river there was a parking lot and cars up to 10-11 pm still arrived to drag the boats out of the river making noise and destroying the entire fun camping feeling. The washrooms was only one row above us but we had to do a big detour since there is no way to cut via the other trailer plots. Overall a bad camping experience. As an Hiking site: Cool trails inside the swamp. There is a beautiful 1.5 Km small hike outside the park (no need to pay) the trails inside the campgrounds are not well maintained, and the marking is not that amazing. They are not long and you wont get lost completly but you will or might lose your way here and there.

The rooms aren't exactly soundproof but clean and cozy. Some suites have kitchenettes and an extra living room. It's also right near Italian Affair which is a great local pizza pasta joint. I received prompt service so that I could reach the train station on time. My driver was courteous and extended himself to insure good service. The car was clean, well maintained and comfortable. I recommend Choice Taxis. I recommend two hours notice if you are coming from Massena and on a schedule.
