It's backed up and center of the canyon mountains in the back. One of my fav new park. It's really nice here. Had a playdate here on Sunday 1.07.24. Has 2 pickle ball courts and a basketball. Great for bike riding around the park or walking. They have a gazebo w lots of tables and benches. When we came it was a bit breezy. Saw a few people bring kites to fly. Love that idea. Lots of field space to do that. I'll be bringing my kite here next time. Box Canyon Park has A *Little Library" available for a good read while spending time at the park or can donate a book if you'd like when coming here. Very clean park along w the restrooms and it's near the playground. Not far at all. They restroom only has 2 stalls in the women's bathroom. Has a soap dispenser. Only street parking available. We were here for 2 hours and seemed like a lot to do for kids. Will definitely be visiting more in the future. Box Canyon park is a Win!

There's a playground, splash pad area with outdoor shower, giant tree house with slide, waterslide, and ziplining. You need to make reservations for the weekends but parking is free. When I came, the waterslide and splash pad area were closed for maintenance. But it was still pretty crowded for a Tuesday! Will definitely come back to check out the rest of the amenities.

In the summer, there's a splash pad and even a water slide. There are different sections to play in, including a small baseball area, swings and a zip line. The perimeter is fenced in so kids can't run off out of the area. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, with plenty of room to change after the water play. It is adjacent to another park, so there is plenty of parking nearby. If you've got kids, this park is definitely worth a visit! Note : Their hours can be tricky in the summer, due to YL summer camp that takes place, so check their website for more info.

Many days around 6:30pm it's hard to find parking. Many different soccer teams practice here. People also come here to play pickleball! It's a nice park in a nice neighborhood. The wait is so long!! There were TWELVE paddles lined up on each of the three courts. Expect to wait about one hour between games during peak hours. - Restrooms don't have paper towels. - There's only one drinking water fountain here. No water bottle refill station. - Only one seated toilet in the men's restroom. - I don't like the fence design surrounding the pb courts. Have to walk/run all the way around to get to the court you're next on. One or two doors along the fence would've been nice.

It's huge, with scenic spots throughout, including several beautiful lakes that make for a peaceful place to walk around and enjoy the views. My favorite part is all the way at the end of the park, where it gets much more forested and peaceful. They have Swan Boats here! They look fun so I gotta try it next time. It's also a great spot for birdwatching. There are plenty of birds and waterfowls throughout the park, especially around the lakes and more wooded areas, so bring your binoculars or camera if you're into birding. Whether you're looking for a scenic walk, some quiet time outdoors, or a good place to spot birds, there's something for everyone here.

The parking is free and right next to the play area. It feels secluded and somehow also right in the middle of everything. The only thing missing is a bathroom and while I understand that it's prevent homeless people from moving in, it does limit the amount of time that anyone can hang out here (especially with littles).
