I brought my best friend there, she was very sick. They were thorough and explained everything to me. They let you stay as long as you want and you could even spend the night if you want. They were kind and understanding. Unfortunatly my best friend my dog Inca did not make it. They were kind and compassionate and the Drs were very knowledgeable The desk staff and techs were also very compassionate . I recommend this Vet clinic, it is very different from any other place I have taken any pets. Other ones take your pet to a room and you might not be able to be with them. This a TOP Notch service right here. Our precious Sophie got ahold of one of my eye drops. We made it to VEG in the middle of the night and they took incredible care of us. They did everything in their power to be transparent with all steps involved in the care of our dog. They are friendly, compassionate and extremely capable. They offered consistent updates by phone and text. Not only did they take great care of Sophie but they took care of us as well offering coffee, tea, snacks and even a Bed. We were floored. This is the best Vet Hospital I've ever been to I highly recommend. I came here because of the good reviews and they exceeded my expectations. I went here on a Thursday night with my elderly dog who was dying of kidney failure, sadly we ended up having to put her down that night but the staff was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so compassionate, empathetic and caring. They made sure I had everything I needed even as I was balling my eyes out and the Doctor even came outside to check on me. Amazing experience. I brought in a 3 day old cleft palate frenchie I was concerned about since she was not gaining weight. I was nervous going into VEG at first because Frenchie breeds are so complicated and it takes a special inquisition into the breed for specific care. Plus previous vets in the area told me to euthanize her..... But everyone at VEG blew my expectations away. Dr. Marshall and the technicians were amazing. Dr. Marshall sat there and did research online and in a textbook. Dr. Marshall went as far as doing full on math equations to convert how much food my pup should be eating daily to maintain weight and hopefully gain some too. This wasn't a half-hearted check up. If that isn't dedication, then what is? I did come back the next day because I noticed my pup was dehydrated. This time I saw Dr. Kathryn Seitz and a team of technicians who gave her fluids. THE CONSISTENCY I EXPERIENCED. I'm a worry wart and was bummed Dr. Marshall wasn't in that day since I had spent time giving her all the details. However Dr. Seitz picked up right where we left off, and gave me the same care I got the day before. I probably talked everyone's ear off with concerns, but they stood there and listened to me. I felt heard, understood and respected. These sweet Drs and Techs see emergencies all the time. That means good and bad. Be a good person and give them love back. They are human and deserve respect. Our dog suffered a dog attack today and our normal vet suggested we take her to veterinary emergency group. We were beyond stressed due to her injuries but every staff member we interacted with was absolutely amazing. They answered our questions, let us stay with her the entire time (including while they stitched her up under sedation), and provided amazing care. I cannot recommend this place enough- we will never go anywhere else for an emergency. The doctor was attentive, they and the staff assisting reassured us through very step and explained what they were doing and what to expect. This was my first time coming to this Vet emergency and I have to say this was 5 star all the way. My dog had collapsed and was screaming on my kitchen floor. I immediately rushed her to VEG and was met at the door by a staff member. We were rushed into the next room and met there by at least 5-6 team members who tended to Honey. From the time I walked in I was advised of everything they were doing or going to do. Most of all I was with my dog the entire time except when they took x-rays but I could look through a window at what they were doing. If I needed to make a phone call or use the restroom one of the staff sat with my dog. End result my dog received the best care and is at home and resting comfortably with the treatment and meds recommended. Over the years I've had to seek emergency treatment for my pets and none of them compare to star quality as VEG. If I ever have to seek emergency treatment again this will be my number one place. I woke up to blood everywhere and immediately came to VEG and cannot recommend them enough. Came here for a doggy emergency and the vets greeted us immediately upon arrival. My fur baby was taken care of right away, there were 4 vets around helping her and making sure she was comfortable. They constantly came in to check on my dog and my family during a difficult time, offering us water and tissues. They helped ease our nerves knowing that our pet was in good hands and she was comfortable the entire time. They are extremely patient, compassionate, and sweet towards humans and fur babies. This is undeniably the most wonderful and caring emergency vet I have ever been to. My partner and I had an extremely traumatizing experience today and saw our little puppy get hit by a car. We were terrified about what could happen to her and just drove to the closest Vet and I'm so glad we did. The staff was so comforting and accommodating. They took such sweet care of our girl and made her as comfortable as possible while we waited to get her into hip surgery. The vets and techs all took turns giving her special attention and made her feel loved. This place and these people have hands down the best energy. I believe they legitimately care about your animal as they do their own. It was a wonderful touch that everything was so Transparent and that the rooms were designed to be less stress Both on you and your animals. As hard as this Experience was, It couldn't have been more manageable or more comforting than the fine people at the edgewater Location. Right out the gate They were helpful and comforting on the phone. And when I finally arrived, they took me to a private room right away and we set about figuring out what was wrong with my Kitty. At every opportunity they were checking in with me and seeing how I was doing and if I needed anything, They were wonderful with my kitty and incredibly compassionate to every decision and every step. Just a great experience. My dog got at her stitches tonight, and the wound appeared to be opening. We were seen quickly and everyone was extremely kind and attentive. The vet evaluated her and cleaned the area a bit, but didn't suggest more stitches. It wasn't opening a I'd thought. We weren't charged, and are just evaluating for now. This location was so great with my puppy. I told him he has had a bad experience at the vet before so they went above and beyond to give him extra love to make him feel comfortable. Also they were very accommodating when I told them I was leaving for a roadtrip to California and having my puppy stay in the ER for 72 hours wasn't realistic. I went into V.E.G around 8:15 am and came out within two hours with a blood test and x-rays finished and discussed. I found this to be exceptional especially because they had a very urgent dog to care for while we were there. The group of women that helped me and my dog, Dingo, were extremely kinda and conscious/sensitive to the pet's and owners' needs. Even in the early morning, every technician seemed to be doing something at all times and the vet was extremely helpful, available, and easy to understand. This is my first time taking my pet to the vet, as I inherited him from my father, and the staff made me feel well taken care of, they were open to any concerns I may have and were proactive when it came to touchy subjects. The care that I received here was absolutely phenomenal! I have never had a better experience in any other veterinary setting, and possibly any human care setting. Not only did the clinic allow me to be with my dog throughout the entire duration of his 12 hour stay, the communication was fantastic the entire time. It felt like being in a community of family, as each person was so compassionate and made me feel comfortable and at home during a rough time with my dog. I can honestly say that each staff member, including the receptionist, vet techs, and veterinarian (Dr. Hart) asked me if I needed anything at least 3x during our stay. The staff truly cared about my dog and ensuring his comfort as well. I literally cannot say enough about the exceptional care and compassion that this emergency vet clinic has to offer, and I'd 100% recommend it to anyone who truly cares about the care his/her pet receives. I've never been to an emergency vet clinic that was as sophisticated and comforting and quick. We were immediately ushered back to a large room with lots of people and animals. They checked out our extremely lethargic boy Lars, right away with multiple employees helping. They were not only caring for him but we were so distraught and crying and they were so comforting and kind to us. It was a Sunday and it was busy but they had thought of everything for the animals and the owners. They offered us food and drinks, they had comfy chairs for the floor to sit with your pet, we were constantly being checked on despite how busy they were. And even then we were out of there within 2 hours. The whole staff was so sweet to Lars, they loved on him and he was clearly doing better by the time we left. They made it obvious that they wanted the owners to feel comfortable being back in the hospital area with their pets instead of being scared in a waiting room. They had us be a part of the whole process and our doctor was very informative, quick and helpful. I hope we don't have to come back, but if we have another emergency we will pick here automatically. read more

i just wanted to leave a review in case anyone in the future is going through a similar situation as my sweet baby boy, my husband and I were at 1am... My poor baby was transitioning across the rainbow bridge and of course it was in the middle of the night and our precious baby needed veterinary assistance to pass over. In a perfect world finances shouldn't matter when your furbaby is suffering, but this world is far from that so I found myself calling here at 11pm to see what they would charge us so we could see if we could afford to get our sweet boy cremated and returned to us. The staff here was so kind and if based on that alone they would get 5 stars no questions asked. This review is more for whoever determines prices. Knowing they are an emergency vet I knew there would be an elevated price, but what the girl told me made me absolutely sick. There is a mandatory "Quality of Life Evaluation" for $175 and I wasnt informed of "Euthanasia" charge but of course there was one, and then I was told that to cremate my baby boy and not get him back would be $500, and If I wanted the ashes back it would be $700. In my grief and stress I didn't think to ask what the price would be just to return his body to us. I told the kind women I'd call her back when we were on our way, hung up, and allowed that info to set in. Luckily I thought I might as well call one other emergency vet and called WHEAT RIDGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL. Wow! Thank God for them. Just shows that there are still veterinarians doing this for sake of animals not just money! They were so wonderful and made this horrible event a little less painful. They charged us $180 and $180 to cremate our boy with a beautiful urn and nameplate. Again I'm only writing this to hopefully help someone who may be having to watch there precious furbaby struggle to get to the other side and is worried they can't afford the vets help. Wheatridge Animal Hospital knows this event is already traumatizing on its own and isnt trying to make money off your grief! Theyre so kind and have a peaceful beautiful facility. read more
