We stumbled upon this veterinary clinic when one of our dogs was in need of non-life threatening,…read moreurgent care due to an allergic reaction. They were incredibly accommodating when we called and were able to squeeze her in. Recently, I called them to see if they could take care of a gash in my dog's paw. Although they had an opening in the late afternoon, the front desk staff member, Sara, advised me to have our dog seen as quickly as possible, in case the wound was deep. Sara recommended requesting a vet tech assessment before committing to paying for emergency services. That way if the wound wasn't too bad, I could just bring my dog to them later that day. It meant a lot that Sara took the time to speak with me and provide me some guidance. Unfortunately, it did turn out that my dog's wound was to the bone. When it was time to have the sutures removed, I did take our dog to this clinic. It was a 10 minute appointment and there was no charge. They've been great each time we've needed their services, so we will continue bringing our beloved pets here.

So very upset and disappointed! We've used Lakewood veterinary for quite some time. We currently…read morehave an elderly boxer. He was in a week ago for his exam and allergy shot. They gave him his vaccinations as well. Two days later his health very abruptly plummeted. I called to get him in asap to see what was going on and was told nothing was available for two days. I explained that I was concerned that it was a reaction to all he got. No option to work him in, it was so bad we thought we might have to put him down. I asked for a call back from the vet. Nothing. Took him to wheatridge hospital ER. They gave him a steroid shot and they said this was probably from giving all of this at once to an elderly dog. I myself am a physician. If a patient calls in with an issue right after I see them, I figure out how to get them in! I will never go back there... and neither should you!

What an amazing little shelter! I've been visiting with my son periodically for the past year. We…read morelike to play with and read to the kitties. The Cat Care Society is always clean and staffed by kind, cat loving individuals. It is a no kill shelter and the cats are well taken care of. If you're looking for a sweet kitty, definitely check them out! They accept donations of food, toys, and various supplies, so check with them about what they need and how you can help with their mission to care for cats.

I honestly meant to leave this earlier! This shelter is amazing. Lots of cozy places for the cats…read moreand all of their needs are being met well. It's a very clean center id say. The shelter itself is an open concept (minus cats who must be separated) and I think that's pretty neat. You get to see the cats in an environment they're used to and they become comfortable/social with humans. You can also check out their personality and see if they fit well with you. The staff working here are kind/you can tell they enjoy what they do! They answer questions and walk you through the very easy adoption process. In comparison to other places, I noticed the adoption fee was about 100$ less, so that is cool. I adopted Spud - also known as " The profesor" ( the name they gave him) last February and he has become a lovely addition to my pet family. He came with a bag of the food they were feeding him, a blanket and some coupons. It took him some time to adjust, I suspect he might've been feral prior to coming to CCS (His left ear is clipped- which I think is TNR program?) but once he did he is the best companion. He also gets along with my senior cat well. The cats here are socialized, sweet and there's tons to check out. Someone for anyone - if you're looking/ready to take that step. I recommend!
