Dr Steve has been my vet for over 15 years. He is just the best human and I trust him 1000% with my babies. He's been with us through scary emergencies, routine visits, chronic conditions etc and always listens to every single concern with compassion and care. There is not a living person outside of this office that cares more about their animals than this staff. Aside from the receptionists, techs, doctors, facilities being amazing the love radiates through the practice. Not only did they provide prime care to my heeler a couple weeks ago after she ate something she was not supposed to and followed up with such love and affection and care but I just had an incredible experience of life or death where they gave my Maine coon LIFE Dr. Kia saved my cat's life. Without his support and recommendations for necessary tests and X-rays plus and ultrasound AND fluids every other day, she would not have made it. Juniper barely ate. She ate less and less for a month--in my denial and ignorance I blamed it on the heat. I was encouraged to bring her in. He looked at her--and her weight loss too--and instantly knew something wasn't right. So he asked if I would be okay with some tests and an x-ray. Of course I said yes. Her bloodwork, x-ray, and urinalysis were concerning and baffling. So he called and explained all the possibilities and the urgency and let me know how dehydrated she was. He sent her with fluids to give her every other day. After her ultrasound yesterday it was confirmed how important it was to operate. He suggested a variety of options and explained in clear terms what was wrong. This morning I was able to get her seen at a surgery center and get her the life saving surgery. Dr. Kia may not have been the one to open her up and operate, but the surgery center on pickup this afternoon confirmed--without me even asking--that without those fluids she wouldn't have made it the last week and the blood tests looked better than when VMC did them last week BECAUSE of the fluids. DR. KIA AND THIS FACILITY SAVED MY CAT'S LIFE AND ASKED FOR NO CREDIT FOR IT BECAUSE THEY DID NOT OPERATE. I have never in my life experienced such a humble place. I am in tears. I will take this gratitude overflowing in me and carry it my whole life. Additionally, just to add, they followed up this whole time for updates. We always felt that Moses was in good hands with Dr. David, and I think it's why he lived a happy 14 1/2 years. When the time came and we had to put Moe to sleep, doctor David left me the most thoughtful voicemail expressing his condolences. At the time I was too heartbroken to call him back, but I will be forever grateful to him and the team here for being so good to our furry family member. I brought my german shepherd here because he was limping. This has been his vet for 2-3yrs. May have been a sprain, we were concerned because we did feel a lump under his shoulder. The vet MD showed no concern but to prescribe rimadyl and expect the swelling to go down, it did- then got worse within a month. By that time, brought my dog to another vet where they found a large mass and possible mets to other organs. It's unfortunate, but this review is to seek a SECOND MEDICAL OPINION because these vet MD's could have truly done more to help my dog before it got worse. Lost my dog to cancer. I hope this helps when choosing a primary care vet for your loved pet. A year prior, my dog had a foxtail removal procedure done in his ear. The MD called wanting to place my dog under sedation twice within a 36-48hr period because he was waking up the first time. Of course we didn't want our shepherd to be placed under sedation AGAIN "the next day" because they were unable to smoothly get the procedure done the first time. This was the recommendation suggested by one of the vets here. I hope this review helps- my pup could've gotten better treatment elsewhere. read more

My pup and I trust Dr Steve! Our first visit to this establishment and Dr Steve was March 2021. I noticed my pup had a wet and slightly scabby patch on his skin around the waist. I called and got an appointment about 2-3 days later. I was skeptical about my dog being seen by a doctor who I wouldn't get to meet that day due to COVID restrictions... After pup got checked in (I handed him off to a vet tech outside the front of the building), I got a call from Dr Steve while I was waiting in the back parking lot. He carefully talked me through his examination and what the treatment would be. I asked him to check on a couple of things while we were on the phone and he happily did so. He did not prescribe anything unnecessary nor recommend any unnecessary procedures. Second visit was this morning for a teeth/mouth check. This time no Covid restrictions. I finally got to go inside and meet people! Yay! All 3 ladies I met at the front desk were delightful to me and my pup. I observed the staff's interactions with 4 other people and everyone seeemed happy, too. I gathered from eavesdropping that 2 had been coming there for a while, and 2 were new. The lobby is very spacious and very clean. They have a nice little coffee/latte/cappuccino machine that is also kept clean and actually works!! I got a little vanilla latte and did not get sick from it, yay! :) (You know you immediately go to the bathroom when you use those latte/cappuccino machines at other spots, like at a car dealership, truck stop, etc.) The lobby and exam room I went to don't have a funky smell. In comparison, the other 2 vet offices in the valley I had been to from 2016-2020 always, always smelled like one or more of: wet doggies, dog pee, staleness, bleach, Pinesol, or Fabuloso. I got no whiff of any of that in here. Thought it is worth mentioning for folks with sensitive noses...just a little bonus for the whole experience, you know? Dr Steve's FRIENDLY, CARING, and PROFESSIONAL demeanor made me so happy today and the previous visit in March 2021. He is EXPERIENCED and brings calm yet lively ENERGY into the room. He provides EXCELLENT CARE and demonstrates GENUINE LOVE for his patients, our beloved animals! Oh, and the sweet nurse or tech who gave my pup's pedicure today is amazing! Typically after a visit at the groomers, my pup HATES having his paws touched for 1-3 days....I think it's because he would get hurt during the nail trimming. Not the case here! They didn't need to put any of the white powder stuff to stop bleeding. When we got home, my pup quickly and happily gave me his paws for his routine wipe down! Blown away by that! Huge shoutout! If you're looking for a vet with the cheapest service fees possible, this place is not it. I think this place charges maybe $10-$20 more for services, compared to smaller vet office. You know those ones I'm talking about that are typically in a rundown plaza that has 1 decent doctor, a rude vet tech, fading posters from the 80s, smells of pee, still only keeps paper records, has one Compaq computer, horrid parking, and will approve your 1-800-PETMEDS medication one week later. On the other hand, if you're looking for top care at a great facility for your beloved pet, this place could be it for you. It is for me and my pup! An overdue well deserved review. First with the exception of Amanda all of their receptionists are rude, disrespectful, stuck up and could not care less about you or your pets. My cat has kidney failure and I was bringing her there twice a week for one year for fluids. I suspected one of their techs, Raymond was doing something to her, I could see it in her face and behavior when he brought her out to me so I pulled her out of there. I suspected this before since she kept going to the bathroom on herself which by the way their office manager, Reynaldi after eight years wanted to start charging me to clean her, well now you get nothing. I found out after eight years of paying for her check ups with them she needed a dental. Her mouth was a bloody mess with nine (9) teeth that were loose and fractured. When I asked their office manager, Reynaldi how this could be he said he asked Dr. David and his answer was her kidney failure. I confirmed that nine teeth in one year was impossible, it happened over time. The unimaginable pain and suffering she went through because of this place!! I'm almost sorry to have to leave this review, because every doctor we've seen here has been kind, attentive and knowledgeable. We won't come back because of the front desk staff. Our dog Joey hurt his ankle jumping off a wall in the backyard. It appears to be sprained, not broken as he can walk on it. I called yesterday to ask for a refill of pain/anti-inflammatory meds. First they said, he had to come in for a blood test. When I told them that was ridiculous, they agreed to refill the meds. I had placed an order with Chewy because I thought I might be out of town, but when my plans changed I called back to say I could pick it up any time. On my third call the next day they said the prescription had been placed with Chewy. Frustrated, I asked if they could just give me enough meds for the weekend because my dog is in pain. The answer? No, it will take 24-48 hours to authorize another prescription. My dog is in pain limping around. The person is sitting behind a desk looking at vets walk by in their office. But there is no way she could do anything to help my dog. This is the representative of my dog's doctor telling me that they choose to "follow protocol" and let him be in pain rather than help him. Was referred here by my old vet. My first experience from start to end was great. The vet and receptionists were patient, very informative and caring. Dr . Tenster was nice, thorough and answered all of our questions. Our wait time was quick, parking in back is good (but a bit tricky to find so ask), big clean waiting room, clean bathrooms and free coffee. Small back story on why we went. Found a small kitten on our porch with bad back legs. She was friendly so we took her in to get tested to find our why she was so unbalanced and shaky. I have zero ratings for the doctors and staff at this hospital. I am 59 years old and have had cats my whole life who have all lead long happy lives. My little boy cat Lucky was brought in for an ongoing eye infection to which we were given medication and we would receive an appointment to follow up and keep an eye on his levels and told to take him to a very expensive specialist not within the hospital. We did costing us $250 per visit not including medication. Cost has never been an issue for us, we would go without groceries for the week to be sure the cats were safe, Then Fredo from the same litter was becoming sick with going to the bathroom outside the box and everywhere else. Both boys were losing weight and suddenly not as active, this literally happened over night, One night whole brushing Lucky I felt something hard and strange on his belly.we immediately made an appt for the next day. We brought him, the doctor examining him turned him over and said it was a scab and tore it off Luckys belly. Not once telling us what caused it (A small cut or injury was what he responded) And he came home with us as we always told him he would every time we went. Then two days before Thanksgiving Lucky stopped eating completely, in a panic but with composure, I called the hospital and pushed 2 as the answering machine says to do for emergencies) I then explained what was happening, he was frail, weak, and lethargic. The young woman at the front desk (who refused to give her name) said she was filled today but I could come in after Thanksgiving!!! I said this is how you handle emergencies, I Have long suspected they were not getting the attention or care they needed because they were older cats, like this country's treatment of the elderly. iI was furious but kept calm. I then asked to speak to a manager who identified herself as "Dawn' who proceeded to read what they had on file with untrue things saying we refused to follow-ups due to financial strife....this would never ever happen. Lucky was just there about the mass on his belly. Why would they not have taken his levels then, even let us know what caused it, or more importantly, run a biopsy to see if it was malignant? "Dawn" proceeded to be rude to me as I was panicking about my cat and we are researching somewhere close to home for help.I asked for the rude woman at the desk to which she responded "There are two girls working the desk, how should I know who you spoke to?" I said you could put me on hold and ask them or poke your head out of your office and ask them. She snapped "Have you ever even been to this hospital" She put me on hold and called up front and came back to me saying the girl said I was using foul language with her, which was absolutely untrue as I was still hoping they were going to the help. When I asked why they ran no tests on Lucky when we brought him in with the mass, she says "You want us to run a biopsy on a 13-year-old cat?" This was my final decision, we would pick up their records at a later date, and how shocked I was how little you cared for Lucky during this. We took Lucky to another hospital near home and they took his case immediately from my hands and ran him to the back, shortly after, our new vet came in and told us Lucky had heart disease and needed to be put to sleep. There was never a mention of him having heart disease or that the medication from the thyroid problem could bring it on. We are now having Fredo rediagnosed as the doctors at VMC told they saw nothing wrong despite him continuing to defecate and have diarrhea, VMC once again only referred us to a costly specialist. All we have ever gotten from VMC is referrals and the temperature and weight/ of each cat. Now I have a little boy cat who grew up from the same litter, closer than any two cats Ive ever seen searching and waiting for his brother to come home. SHAME ON THIS PLACE AND PEOPLE WHO CALL THEMSELVES CAREGIVERS TO ANIMALS. SHAME read more

The five star reviews here have to be for specific doctors, because my experience with Dr Tenser a while ago was great, and I assumed everything he did for my elderly cat who passed away would be done for my new kittens. But no, the other doctors here make me feel like I'm in a skit where everyone is comically incompetent, and the front desk staff and nurses have become exceedingly rude/forget critical information, putting animals at risk. They treat it like a DMV with all sorts of unnecessary passive aggression & ego when animals lives are being played with. I have never been in there and NOT seen the people behind the computers make fun of a patient/pet parent as they leave. Like, if every single person patroning your practice is a "problem" to you, you need to look inward and consider you're just being a Karen and they're reacting normally to the way you treat their pets. I'll watch them see someone struggle with the door while holding an animal and laugh at them. Makes me sick. This was my second time visiting with my two small kittens, bringing them in the 100 degree weather for what I think will be really important, medically necessary procedures, only to be denied literally ALL medical treatment such as rabies shots, deworming, just because the doctor doesn't want to. These aren't superfluous or risky procedures, they're literally standard procedures for cats. I've had cats my whole life. Vet said "you don't technically need it." Ok, well I also don't technically have to bring my cats to the vet for $200. WHY DO YOU THINK I BRING THEM? Why wouldn't you tell me this before my appointment? What is the reason for an appointment then? To make a buck? These are living animals, this isn't acceptable. The shelter I adopted them from said they needed these procedures. I called them to confirm this. The new, much more professional and less sleazy vet I'm bringing them to next week says they need it and called this vet an overpriced scam! How dare you have me bring them in only to play with them? That's all the doctor and front staff did at their initial appointment, was take my kittens out of the carrier, kiss them, hug them, and expose them to all sorts of diseases without giving them any medical treatment. The doctor kissed my cat on the mouth. JESUS CHRIST. It was GROSS and scared me. They most definitely aren't toys and I hated the way they treated them like toys. Frustrated, but still putting up with all this weirdness out of politeness/fear, I am told they can at LEAST apply flea treatment to them. The doctor walks away after saying this, and the front desk people just rush me out. They're too busy talking crap about patients who just walked out the door to give me any instruction. I realize after I get home that nothing was given to me in regard to flea treatment at the appointment I paid for. I email them and they tell me they're SO sorry, they didn't communicate with the doctor well, and to bring the cats back in next week for flea treatment. I bring them back in, and guess what happens? They tell me I could have just picked it up like an RX and I brought them for no reason. Absolutely none of this was brought up in any of our phone calls or emails leading up to this very confusing second appointment. I felt so bad, my cats were panting after the nurse took them back alone and then returned with no procedure being done. I wanted to cry. My cat got so scared of the nurse and the completely unnecessary trauma she pooped herself when the nurse took her back and he didn't even tell me. I smelled it immediately and when I looked in after she was sitting in her own poop. She has never done this before. He was shaking her carrier around with his legs. Why are you people subjecting animals to this instead of just doing your job and only doing what's necessary/actually communicating with patients? This place sucks, the front desk people need to learn communication because they are playing with innocent pets lives over the politics of not liking their owners for whatever suspicious reasons. You can see these people get defensive after THEY make a mistake and their ego tells them to take it out on you/it must be your fault. We loved this clinic (and Dr Steve) and had been coming for over 30 years, with 5 cats and 4 dogs in that time frame. We started when it was Dr Parker still running Parker Pet. But suddenly a few years ago, they could not get us appointments when we had issues. There was one time we had a serious issue with our cat and they told us it would be at least 3-4 weeks to see a vet. So we gave up and found a new vet who can get us in when we need to. read more

After that appointment, I called back a week later, since our dog still had issues. * Called on Friday, NO call back * Called again on Saturday, NO call back * Monday, still NO call back 3 days to return a call for current customer is unacceptable. I am sad to post my experience in this place. Took my 9 year old cat here because he had lost a lot of weight quickly and was severely thirsty and hungry all the time. The vet looked at him and said, it could be diabetes or renal disease. He said he needed to run test and that the price was over $500. I was desperate at this point, so I agreed I get a call later from the vet saying that my cat was diabetic. He proceeds to tell me that he wants my cat to stay at the clinic for a few days in order to see how he reacts to the insulin and tells me to bring him back in three days .I was very worried about my cat, he was just skin and bones so I asked him if he was OK for me to just start him in the insulin right away instead of waiting. The vet was upset that I didn't agree to leave my cat at his clinic and gave me a vague explanation about how to give my cat the insulin and how much. I started my cat in the insulin right away, but after a few days, I realize it wasn't helping him. I then went with another vet who was able to tell me how many units of insulin my cat actually needed , which was way off from what the other vet told me. He then gave me a prescription for diabetic food which I didn't know I need because the vet at the other clinic never told me that I needed to change my cats diet and also this new vet taught me how to check my cat's blood sugar which the other place didn't even mention to me. So in my opinion, this clinic only cares about money. They just want to make as much money from you as possible they don't care about your pets. My cat had obvious symptoms of diabetes and instead of running a five dollar test to see his blood sugar level he made me paid over $500 for a bunch of tests that he didn't need. He then got upset that I didn't want to pay for my cat to stay at his clinic so he intentionally didn't tell me the proper care that I was supposed to give to my cat. Had i just listened to him my cat would've died. Avoid this place at all cost if you really care about your pet, because they surely don't care about them here. After being sent home with Hydrocodone for her illness that Dr. Kiarash Safatian prescribe for her she started to have very labor breathing, after staying up all night with her we were able to get her into Blouvard pet clinic down the street. I've been coming to VMC for 8 years. They consistently pride themselves in the love and care of our sweet babies. My youthful and senior kitty will go no where else. I count on Dr Steve, he remembers and always shares exactly what he thinks is needed. I never feel I get services that are unneeded. He always explains the issues until we 'get it'. Just the best! This place is a joke. I used to take my dogs to this overpriced joke of a clinic I took my dogs for a dental exam and scheduled a procedure. I go through all the necessary steps not feeding my dog etc... I take the day off of work and I drop my dog at 7:30am and San hour and a half later they tell me the doctor went home for the day. i highly recommend you Dont use this place so unorganized. Truly a FAMILY Vet. We have been going to VMC for several years, and I have been very impressed at how they have handled appointments during the pandemic. After you make an appointment, you just call when you get to the parking lot, wait a few minutes until they come and talk to you about your pet (we have 2 dogs and a cat), and then take your pet inside to get checked out. A little while later, you get a call from your vet (Dr. Tentser is our vet - amazing, but we've also seen Dr. Steve who is very caring) explaining how your pet is doing, etc. When you are done, they call you to get payment over the phone. Then, they bring out your pet. Super simple and convenient. I saw a few bad reviews about emergencies... Well we had the opposite experience. My dog hurt his paw, so I called to make an appointment on a Monday, and was surprised that there wasn't availability until Saturday. Naturally, I was a little concerned. So, I made the appointment and asked if the vet on duty could give me a call to make sure that I take care of the wound properly until the appointment, and in the meantime they asked if I wanted to get on the cancellation list. Of course I did, so they said they would call me if they had a cancellation. Dr. Steve called me about 10 minutes later and talked me through what I needed to do to take care of my dog's wound until he could look at it on Saturday. He was very caring and eased my worry. Plus, he didn't charge anything for the phone consult. Then, about 2 hours later, I received a call that there had been a cancellation, and my dog ended up seeing Dr. Steve that same day. Truly great service and I felt like the whole staff really cared about my sweet dog. His paw is all healed now, and he's a happy guy. This is just another example of how VMC feels like an extension of our family. In fact, the first time I brought my old dog (he was 14 at the time) to VMC, Dr. Tentser saw us just before closing and took time to examine my dog thoroughly, even though it was late and we were a last minute appointment. Under Dr. Tentser's care, our dog lived until he was 17 years old, and he was a lab, so that's a pretty long life! I am grateful for Dr. Tentser for being so compassionate. He truly puts your pet's best interests first, as he understands that your pet is like a member of your family. I know that the pandemic has been hard for everyone, and vets have been particularly slammed with all of the adoptions while everyone has been staying at homed during COVID, but Dr. Steve, Dr. Tentser, and the whole staff at VMC has handled it with grace, compassion, and love for their clients. Highly recommend this place. Dr. Debbie is amazing. She even follows up on the phone, which is incredibly rare these days. When my beloved 18-year-old dog passed away, Dr. Debbie sent a very kind note, and even got on the phone with me when I needed to talk. (My dog didn't pass away at VMC -- Dr. Debbie was just willing to talk to me because she cares.) All of this and I had only met her once. I wish I had found this place sooner. Sadly, it likely wouldn't have made a difference in my pup's passing (she had a sudden blood clot in the lungs, which can't be predicted) but I still think my pup's care would have been more compassionate at VMC than where I was taking her at the time. And I know my peace of mind would have been better as well. If you're looking for a vet practice to trust with your soul animal, this is the place. read more

I've been a loyal customer at VMC and have been taking my dogs, Odin and Thor, to VMC for their pet needs and most recently we've been using their boarding service. I have dropped them off at 8am last Friday (2/17) because we were heading to a funeral up in Northern California. We picked them up this past Tuesday (2/21) at 8am. I was under the impression that "boarding" meant not just taking care of them, but staying at the facility for at least 24 hours. By my count, they had stayed a full 4 days, yet I was charged a full day when I picked them up at 8am Tuesday morning. I had tried to reason with the manager about this, yet they still charged me a full day, which I thought was unfair. I'm not so sure I'll be using their facilities again after this encounter. read more

We have had nothing but great experiences here. Our dogs have seen Dr. Tenster and Dr. Leonard. Dr. Tenster is a wonderful vet who has only given us really kind guidance for all of our pets. Used to love this place but they have changed. Complete lack of customer service and empathy. Called to warn that I was in traffic and would arrive at 5:59 to pick up my dog's prescriptions and as promised I did. Employee was waiting at the door to lock the gate. Told me that it just turned 6 and they open again on Monday. I am a business owner and would never treat one of my patients that way. I will never again give any of my hard earned money to this non-empathetic and non-caring establishment. read more

We have been going to Dr. Steve for 5 years and unfortunately have had to make many visits (at one point we were there weekly to change my dogs casts). Yesterday we had to have our dog put down. My husband and I drove separate and there wasn't enough parking behind the vet so I parked far away. When the procedure was done, my husband walked me to my car and I drove him back to his behind the vet. Dr Steve saw this and told my husband he cannot park in the back and that it was for the vet only. Not only have we had countless appointments with Dr. Steve over the last 5 years, he saw us in the waiting room just two hours before. When my husband told him we were there with our dog he was apologetic but I am so disappointed and hurt that this exchange happened in the first place. A scolding about where to park after our hearts were just broken inside his practice. Unfortunately he has lost us and our many referrals since there is clearly no personal connection to his patients and their families. read more

Worst place ever, no compassion. My sister-in-law's dog has been going there for 15 years before moving away . Her dog got really sick and the vet in her new location recommended to put him down. She was heart broken and wanted a second opinion from her trusted place. We hit traffic and we were late by 4 minutes pass grace period. The receptionist told us we must reschedule We traveled 45 minutes to get there. They are the worst !!!! Dr. Tentser would not even look at the dog and we had to leave with the dying dog and a broken heart. They suck big time! read more

I've been going here for about 5 years now. The doctors are great with the animals. I've seen them on the hands and knees down on the floor and interacting with them. I don't have to wait a long time for appointments and they always accommodate my schedule. I will be honest and tell you I left briefly because I thought they were pricey. But after the horrible experiences I had bouncing around trying to find a new spot (and realizing they weren't that pricey after all) I came running back. And I couldn't be happier. I have a senior dog who's dealing with both arthritis and Cushing's Disease. I've been giving her the prescribed meds and following their instructions and my pup is doing amazing. And what I love even more is they don't push unnecessary costs on me. Recently I had to do a round of antibiotics for some skin issues. It was a three week prescription but instead of selling all three weeks upfront, they suggested I buy one week first. Because antibiotics can't be returned so if they don't work, I don't waste my money on two more weeks of meds I don't need. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that. I think we all have stories of dropping A LOT of money at the vet and feeling like we were ripped off in hindsight. It's a relief to have a vet that says "Don't do that. No reason for you to overspend." read more

This used to be the only place i trusted to bring my pets for decades but sadly this place has gone so downhill in the past couple of years. The staff is rude and unresponsive, calls are not returned and the overall treatment and care my pets have gotten here has gotten so bad. There is no care and love for pets there anymore, everyone is just clocking in and they have zero empathy even with people who have been customers (and who have spent tens of thousands of dollars with them). They sadly just dont give a crap. My cat was dying and the staff didnt care and didnt offer any help or empathy in getting my cat (who by the way had gone to them for 16 years) into the practice to be put to sleep (which is traumatizing as it is) in a timely manner so the cat didnt have to suffer. We ultimately had to hire someone to come to our house. It breaks my heart to say this because they used to be great and I referred many friends to this practice all of whom have since left and gone elsewhere, and now i understand why. For the prices they charge you can find much better care but honestly money isnt even the issue. For my fur baby I will pay whatever I have to, but no one in this practice cares anymore about customer service or the pets or service. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else where they actually care about your pet. read more

I've come here a few times with the multiple dogs I have and generally leave pretty happy. Today I thought I had an appointment for my dog and new puppy. However it seems I got the date wrong, and they had to put me on the phone with the girl who made my appointment to confront me and assure me I was the one who was wrong. I was in no way being rude with their staff. I always treat people with respect especially when it comes to my animals. However I felt this action was completely uncalled for and rude. Just confirming all that's been previously stated--we've also been with this for a long time vet--4 years now, but lately it has been increasingly disappointing. Overpriced. Overbooked. Lacking graciousness. Our French bulldog was experiencing some variation of bowel incontinence--obviously alarming for anyone when your dog just suddenly pees on the couch, couldn't make it outside, struggled to relieve himself once he was outside, and then started to shake and foam at the mouth. 15-20 min later he seemed normal and fine. So obviously we thought to call the vet to see if we could be seen the next morning since their offices would be closing soon, and would prefer not to pay a steep emergency room vet bill, if we were just dealing with a bladder infection. But, when I called, I couldn't even finish my question before being told that the next appointment was a week away. Seriously?! The regular vet, that my dog has been seeing for almost 5 years cannot be seen for a whole week, just so we can rule out an emergency room visit? And had I even been able to ask my question before being talked over and hurried off the phone, maybe I could have at least gotten some insight as to whether or not we should be concerned, how to proceed, or if any other options were available to us, but No way--I might as well have been talking to an automated voice message system. read more
