When the hubster and I travel, this has been the only place we trust with our two terrier mixes. Have been bringing them here for a few years. Scheduling is always easy through the phone or email. They keep track of vaccines to make sure we submit them when required. I love that my two pups can stay together in a jr suite and there is a camera to view them from an app. They don't spend much time in their room during the day so makes me happy to know that they are getting lots of love and walks and play time in their big indoor play area. My review is extremely delayed but I think it would help others to know my full experience. In 2023/2024 I found the dog resort extremely helpful as a day time dog sitter for 4-6 hrs at a time. My dog didn't seem to mind it and always came back calmer so I decided to leave him here for 9 days while I went away for a trip. I don't recall the exact costs. Probably between 900-1100 dollars for daily walks and his home provided food. I asked the employees to put on his sweater at night. It wasn't a question it was a very important task they agreed to. He was a very small 8 pound yorkie and was always cold. When I came back my dog was not his normal self. That already made me highly suspicious about getting his walks. He was coughing a lot, not sleeping but also lethargic. I took him to the vet and he had pneumonia. Meaning, he was cold from day 1 and got worse for the remainder of his stay and I never got a call from here. From there he got sicker and sicker and I had to put him down. I was devastated and desperate to get him back to normal for months! I recommend people never leave their dogs in places like this. Sure you save money and they may or may not have company (depending on their personality) but you're better off vetting a dog sitter to check in or stay with your dog at home. In the end you may save yourself an onslaught of vet bills from trying to figure what is making your dog so ill when back from a trip. At least with an in home dog sitter they're more like to stay alive and healthy. If you have a small dog with specific needs get someone who can cater to your dog with love and care. I highly suggest NEVER leaving your dog for overnight or extended stays. I hate that it took me so long to post this but my grief was too strong to do it before. I wanted to sue, I wanted my money back, but I was so sad and I couldn't bring myself to do much other than focus on him and move on with my life. We went on vacation thinking we were leaving our babies (our dogs) in good hands, but unfortunately, leaving them at this dog resort was one of the worst decisions we made. We paid for a suite, believing our dogs would be taken out periodically for walks and bathroom breaks and that their area would be monitored and kept clean. The facility provides cameras so you can check on your pets, which initially gave me peace of mind. However, once I started checking the camera, I became extremely concerned. I noticed that my dogs were repeatedly sitting in urine and feces in their suite. At first, I thought maybe I was overreacting, so I started checking the camera about every hour. Unfortunately, I continued to see the same thing -- my dogs were sitting in the same area with urine and feces for extended periods of time. What was even more frustrating was that when I would call the facility and ask them to please check on my dogs and clean their area, I would then see staff on the camera taking my dogs out and cleaning the suite. This happened repeatedly during our stay. Being on vacation and having to constantly check a camera every hour to make sure my dogs weren't sitting in their own waste was extremely stressful. I should have been able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my dogs were being properly cared for. When we returned, I intentionally waited a little longer before picking them up because I noticed again on the camera that they were sitting in urine and feces. Just before arriving, I checked the camera and saw the same situation. When I arrived, I asked to speak with a manager. The manager came out with a young staff member, and I explained what I had been seeing. I told them that as recently as 9 AM, I had seen my dogs sitting in urine and feces, and that I had checked again shortly before arriving and saw the same thing. The manager then asked the staff member if there was any urine or feces in the suite. The staff member said no. At that point, I was extremely upset. I pulled out my phone, showed them the live camera feed, and asked, "You mean to tell me this isn't feces?" I also showed the manager the screenshots I had taken throughout the stay showing my dogs repeatedly sitting in urine and feces. I was especially disappointed by the staff member denying what I had documented on camera. The manager was apologetic, but at that point, the experience had already destroyed my trust in the facility. As pet parents, we trust these businesses with our babies. We shouldn't have to spend our vacation constantly monitoring cameras and calling staff just to make sure our dogs are clean, comfortable, and being properly cared for. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we will never return to this facility and I cannot recommend it to other pet parents. Clean and well run facility in North Hollywood. And very friendly and attentive staff. I like how they separate the dogs by size and monitor their play. I've been happy so far. My only small note would be I wish I got text or email update with a photo or video when my dog is in day care for the day. Would be a small peace of mind. I bought my Dutch Shepherd, Senna for boarding here for the first time and she seemed to really enjoy herself. My dog isn't dog friendly, but the staff made sure she got breaks to go outside and play/walk everyday. I was boarding elsewhere before, but the prices were starting to become extremely unreasonable. I'm so glad I found this dog resort. Thank you everyone in the staff for making Senna feel as comfortable as possible during her stay. I have a standard poodle, and I recently took him to this dog resort for grooming. I asked them for a specific design cut, and they told me they could do it. They said all dogs get the same flat cut in short, medium, or long. They charged me $85 just for a wash, plus I left a tip, and they didn't even trim the hair around the private areas. They only cut the nails, and even the nails were scratched up. They also didn't remove the hair from inside my poodle's ears, which is very important because poodles are sensitive and those hairs need to be cleaned out. When I asked why they didn't do it, they said they don't have the equipment for it. Overall, this is the worst grooming place I've ever taken my dog to. read more

Great place to board your pets! This is the place where we board our goldendoodle whenever we go on vacation that we can't take her. Ollie has always been taken care off and gets a lot of play time! I hate that I have to give this place a single star. If you don't have time to read this review... Please...DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS TO THIS FACILITY I dropped my dog, Rocky, off in perfect health to this facility on 11/4/2024. On 11/6/2024, I received a call from them stating that my dog hadn't eaten in days. Which I figured could've been separation anxiety. That is until I picked her up on 11/09/2024. When I picked her up, she was visibly different. I was met by three employees who all seemed pretty concerned. About what? Well...when Rocky emerged from behind the wall, she met me at the door moaning and groaning. And I immediately noticed that Rocky was had lost some weight, the right side of her face was visibly swollen, and that she had a mass beneath her neck. So, instead of going back and forth with the staff -- that one review stated on April 2, 2024 "...leave your animals here at your own risk because they will take NO ACCOUNTABILITY..." -- I decided to take her straight to the vet. The same day, within an hour, the Vet noticed the swelling, and the mass upon further examination. She stated that this was result of some sort of trauma physical or otherwise, suffered while at the resort. I also learned that, Rocky had loss four pounds in a week. The same number of pounds lost by the dog of the Pet Owner who left a review April 2, 2024. A coincidence...I don't think so. Ultimately, the Vet ran tests and discovered that there was an infection present, and she prescribed an antibiotic, as well as an anti-inflammatory. All of this resulted in a bill of $383. I was told by the vet that if the swelling didn't go down in a week, to come back. Well, less than three days later the mass beneath Rocky's neck burst. There was blood and pus everywhere. I immediately took Rocky back to the vet as advised. They then decided to admit Rocky to take care of the infection which Rocky received while in the care of this facility. With this medical diagnosis from Petco, records I was willing to provide the facility, I called the "resort" to let them know all that had happened as a result of Rocky being left in their care. And just as the Pet Owner warned on April 2, 2024, this facility was unwilling to take any accountability for what clearly happened to Rocky, while in their care. Instead of the facility being willing look at the medical records corroborating the timeline I mentioned, I was blamed for not letting them know the exact same day. Which is INSANE. Especially when you refuse to review documents that confirm everything I'm saying. At the end of the day my concern was and continues to be the health and care of Rocky. She didn't deserve this. And I feel terrible about what she's had to endure. And I hate that I didn't take the advice of Moni S. and the review she left on April 2, 2024. This will not be the last that the Dog Resort hears from me. Reading all of the one star reviews is heartbreaking. And theirs a pattern of neglect and lack of accountability. The Dog Resort is no resort at all. And shouldn't be your last or first resort. read more
