Will not be returning to this establishment. My husband called on Saturday (5/2/26) to ask if they accepted walk-ins, as we recently moved to the area and were looking for a new groomer for our dog. The receptionist told us to come in right away since we were only a few minutes away. When we arrived, the same receptionist acted as if she had no idea about the call. We had to repeat ourselves, which made the interaction feel awkward and unwelcoming from the start. Instead of greeting us warmly, she seemed dismissive and inconvenienced. Things got worse when our dog was taken to the back. She is a small dog (under 20 lbs) and naturally a bit anxious, which we communicated. Rather than handling her with care, the staff member repeatedly pulled her by the leash when she hesitated, which clearly scared her. No effort was made to comfort her--no treats, no gentle approach, and no attempt to pick her up to help her feel safe. After seeing our dog being handled this way, we immediately asked for her back and left. As feedback to the owner: friendly customer service and gentle handling of animals should be the standard. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. read more

have been a loyal customer of this daycare for 8 years, with a card on file and a consistent portal account, but I will never return after the way I was treated by the manager. While I was admittedly late for pickup, the manager's response was completely unprofessional. She called and screamed at me, calling me an 'awful dog owner' and 'irresponsible.' She further claimed I don't know how to read hours, that my dog is a 'problem' (after 8 years of no issues?), and falsely accused me of not paying. It is deeply saddening that nearly a decade of loyalty was met with such personal attacks and vitriol. There are plenty of places in the area that treat both pets and their owners with basic human decency. Avoid if you value being treated with respect. read more

This is a nice small multi-store business offering grooming, daycare, and boarding. Everyone I've talked to is very nice and helpful. I wish I could speak directly to the groomer but that doesn't seem to be the case with this company. The front desk person seems to do a good job of relaying what you want to the groomer. And, they're quick most times. Obv slower if they're short handed. read more

I've been bringing my dog here for 14 years. And I'll continue to because the staff and groomers are wonderful. However that being said, the prices are raised constantly here. It feels like twice a year there's an increase so just be aware that it's not inexpensive and the price won't stay that way for long. Other than that it's great I just wish the owners weren't raising the prices so much. It's off putting. read more

Love that this facility is indoor-outdoor and the staff is amazing!! I've been a customer for several years and the manager and/or staff greets us every morning and they all treat my Barley pups as there own with love and special care. They keep me informed of any situations that might pop up. They provide grooming on the facility as well as a non-anesthetic dental service by appointment that comes to the facility which is a big plus. I truly love that my pups loves the staff and coming to BSB daycare weekly. I have referred many friends to this facility and they are also very happy to have a safe place for their pets. I hate having to write a negative review but I hope this is helpful for anyone on the fence. Today was our first time trying bone sweet bone for a grooming. I was beyond disappointed. I have been to multiple groomers, and this was the worst experience by far. First of all, they performed an extra service on my dog without getting my approval and then proceeded to charge me for it. Then then I asked when he was going to be ready for pick up and they responded saying he's already done. I don't know when they were going to let me know... I responded maybe a 45 later after seeing their text saying OK. Then they responded saying by the way you have one hour to pick him up from the time he was ready before we start charging you and ended that text with a smile smiley face. This gave me 15 minutes to pick him up. They didn't even give me a courtesy phone call of any sort nor did they let me know this policy when I dropped him off. I was so confused by the lack of communication. It was also concerning that on the phone, the representative today was bashing all other groomers saying that "no other groomers actually know what they're doing except for us". I thought that was really weird and distasteful. Then they proceeded to tell me that the groomers on staff are not actually employees, but rather outsourced. That made me feel very distrustful and skeptical about their entire business. They quoted me around $80 on the phone and the bill turned out to be $110 before tip because they charged me for a service, I did not have the chance to approve or deny. I will, unfortunately never be going here again nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone. read more

A bit disappointed by my experience with Bone Sweet Bone. I had really high hopes for their daycare as my friend brings her dogs here and recommended them. I called on Thursday and spoke to Marcela about bringing my puppy in for an evaluation. She setup a meeting with me for Friday late morning. The evaluation went great and she suggested we have my puppy start on a Saturday to get the vibe of daycare on a little bit of a slower day. I was excited and agreed to bring her back this morning. My wife and I dropped our puppy off shortly after opening. She was SO excited to see Marcela again. I told her we would be back around 2pm and she said she would keep us posted and let us know how she did. My wife and I have four dogs, all of which have been to daycares around LA over the years. I am used to daycares with a camera in the play areas to be able to check on the dogs and / or daily report cards and updates from the daycare throughout the day. So after going on a four hour bike ride and checking my phone, I found it odd that I had gotten ZERO updates from Bone Sweet Bone. We headed back to pick up our puppy around the 6 hour mark. When we arrived, Marcela was not there. Another, younger employee came out to help us and shortly after brought out our puppy and charged us for the day. Again, still no update or feedback on how she did. So I asked "how did she do for her first day?" And all I got back from this girl was "fine". After all the time I spent talking to Marcela and her assuring me that we would receive feedback and updates, that was all I got. "Fine". Now while I understand this other employee was not the woman I had been dealing with the entire time, I was quite disappointed in how things were handled. Again, I got ZERO updates in a six hour period. The cameras they supposedly had did not work on their customer portal. I even waited until their close of business to see if I would get a report card and still, nothing. I even called to ask why I didn't get any updates or a report card and was just told "you can call back on Tuesday to talk to Marcela". Zero accountability. Zero apology. And honestly, zero customer service. Marcela was lovely but I feel like I was sold one thing and got another. And it seems that outside of Marcela, the other employees here are rather complacent. Too bad. I really had higher hopes. read more

Once again an amazing haircut. This time I was lucky to get his groomer name and it's Oscar. He did an amazing job with his poodle feet and poodle face shave. Can't be happier with him. I feel awful because I didn't tip right this last visit but we are regular so I'll make sure I get a better tip for Oscar next time. Once again recommend if you have a standard poodle and want to keep a semi classic look on your dog. The staff there is also very friendly! read more

Bone Sweet Bone is amazing! My dog Obi is always so excited to go, and the people who work there are so sweet, greet him specially every time and they're all incredible with dogs. I always feel great dropping him off there because I know he'll have fun and be safe and even has dog friends there. (They give you a report card with the names of his friends!) And wheven ever I leave him there to get a bath and a haircut, he always ends up looking and smelling incredible. They don't have an overnight boarding at this location but I've left Obi at their location on Vineland, and it's the same. He has a blast and comes home so happy. I've been a long time customer of Bone Sweet Bone, but lately they've really been struggling. They have mixed up my dog/my info MULTIPLE times and call the wrong person to come pick up my dog. When trying to talk to the manager about this, she said well at least your dog didn't come back injured and there wasn't much she could do because most of the girls who work at the front desk are very young and can't be motivated. My go to groomer for years!! First for my late dog(who went here comfortably and very well taken care of all they way to 16y/o- he was always healthy, though other places I def might've been worried to trust with handling my senior baby, but pup and I both felt super safe here). And now with my newly adopted Bichon. You can make appointments super quickly, maybe even later that day sometimes or next day typically. The staff are so sweet and very relaxed and help you pick a great cut/style if you don't necessarily come in with a vision yourself, (though if you do, you can bring pictures and they copy it great as well). My pup always comes out looking and smelling amazinggg. Always wagging his tail so so excited, smiling ear to ear and strutting around, clearly feeling very proud of his fresh look lol. Price is also super fantastic and reasonable for all the extras etc. they do as well!. They do absolutely everything- nail trims, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, anal express lol, sanitary cuts, offer hypoallergenic products, and will put bows or bandana on if you'd like- even let you choose the color, probs more idk about if you ask. I've tried out a few groomers before finding this gem, and one was over 300$ (and for real did not at all look as good), and others my dog had a weird lowkey scared vibe after coming out...hmm. PS- for the girlies, there's a Sephora, HomeGoods, Marshall's, Michael's, Starbucks, cute restaurants etc. all next to location. Took the dog 3 times there. Once ok second time she came back with a cough and did not eat for a week . Had to take her to the vet, now last time 2 days after last visit she has big old ring worm on her back. She goes no where except home and the daycare . Both times vet said she might have picked up something from the kennel. The workers there are sweet. I have no complaints. I am not sure how they could prevent a sick dog not to give deases to another . However this does not not solve the problem . Got my sweet one year old yorkie-poo back and he's been unable to walk on the grass to go potty because of multiple cuts on two paws. They took over 3 hours to groom him but I think they might've been stopping the bleeding. So sad to see your dog in pain. Even worse when they don't tell you they injured him. He's bandaged up but he may have to see a vet, which they need to pay for. read more

I've brought my dog here a few times and had pleasant experiences but after this grooming I doubt I'll ever return. After getting my dog home I noticed red razor burn all over his underside. I called to ask what the hell was up, the receptionist said the groomer said he didn't do it. What?! "He said the dog must have kicked the spot right after he shaved there." I'm no canine expert but I've watched my dog lick himself all over and have never seen his underside look like this after a haircut...if the groomer had copped to it, apologized, offered a refund, SOMETHING. Maybe I'd return but his response was ridiculous and childish. Who says "not it" after they've injured an animal?
