He was great in taking care of him and even gave several follow up calls to check in. He also offered (and did) call an internist for more input and did his own research and provided what he found the following day on management for my cats chronic kidney disease condition. Offered more meds to try as well. Would definitely recommend, you can tell he really deeply cares about the pets he takes care of!

I didn't like his bedside manner (lack of communication was my biggest issue), if you will, so I ended up switching to another veterinary clinic in the area which I am much more satisfied with. Dr. Kappes, the current vet, is nice enough, and she seems like she cares about pets... as a person that has come into the clinic with my mother when her dogs have appointments here with her, I've noticed that she will come out and talk to you about your dog's issues... but it is usually in the waiting room, and I'm not sure how many people will be comfortable with that. Her visit notes don't always reflect what she verbally says, either, so make sure you write down what she says for future reference. The veterinary clinic is owned by the owner of the adjacent K9 Country Club, and the business license is also in his name. This is something that is generally frowned upon, as someone that owns a veterinary clinic that isn't a vet may not have the pet's best interest in mind, but rather profits, so keep that in mind if you still choose to take your pets here to be seen. As a side note, the staff that worked the front desk every time I came in were pretty friendly and tried their best, even if it sometimes felt like they were out of the loop of the goings on in the clinic, and couldn't really explain anything to us when we would come in.
