I asked him politely but firmly to please get bring it back. No apology from him, just "we already took it to the dump". I said, again firmly but politely to please get it and bring it back. He said ok Never heard back, and then they won't return my calls to rectify this Also, the "foreman" of the two people was kind of disresepectful and rude (or at least not very friendly nor engaging; acted as if he couldn't care less), but the second person with him was very friendly and respectful I called the manager 3 x; he finally called me back. He was somewhat abrupt, and had no apology. He accused me of "chewing his driver out" about the ladder. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Not taking my side regarding their mistake, with no concern for me. I explained again what happened, that the took something they shouldn't have - my fave ladder that we needed to use - and did NOT take something that they should have I asked them to come back to get this item, and manager said "we can''t send anyone out there". No concern for the issue at all Finally he offered to give me $150 credit for the ladder, and said "will you change your Yelp review from a 1?" I said yes. (Now it's a 2) ALL I WANTED HERE WAS to show concern for me initially, and to be apologetic. NOTHING like this happened I am a USN officer veteran, and expected better. I can't thank Joe N. enough today from "Vets Move Junk!" The team of Joe and James arrived promptly and professionally and was ready to give me a quote and even do the job right there and then! They were kind, courteous and quick.  But, after finishing my garbage removal I messaged the company that I still had some boxes and an old vacuum that weren't included but felt they should have been included in the initial quote as part of the overall job. I was so surprised when Joe called me back within 10 minutes of hearing my feelings about the cost and service of the work. Requested a pick-up date and was given one instantaneously. They called ahead and arrived on time. Chad and Aaron gave me quote and I was extremely happy with the pricing. Compared to Waste Management, Vets Move Junk Substantially less. This was not any easy haul for them. We had just demoed a master bathroom. Concrete pieces with wire, tile, basically a mountain of rubble. They dug in and got everything loaded in about 20 minutes. They swept up after and as good as new. Rick (Kennedy) and John did an EXCELLENT job removing some VERY heavy (recreational) equipment from my driveway, garage, and side access. They arrived about 10 minutes ahead of time and, as soon as I indicated what I wanted removed, they quoted me a very reasonable price. They were both very friendly and worked VERY hard to get all the junk onto their truck. And then, since there were wood chips, sand, other refuse, etc., in the driveway and side access, they swept both areas clean. The two guys who came to take away our stuff were on time, very careful, pleasant, and quick. Nothing damaged, though they had some tight corners and two flights of stairs to negotiate.
