Soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, etc., along with a couple of portapotties and a shelter make it a nice place to come for outdoor activities. Not really an attractive greenspace in itself, but it's nice to have something like this squirreled away between the highway, the retail corridor, and the neighborhoods. I was here to get on the trail and go for a bike ride. For that, it was okay, but not great. Access off Westerville is awkward, and I wasn't sure what I'd find after the trip behind the strip mall. Pro-tip: there's a small parking lot just off 161. If you're headed west on 161 and exit at Westerville Road, make a right at the bottom of the ramp instead of a left. You'll be on old 161 (you can also turn onto that road from Westerville Road, at the intersection with a couple of gas stations.) Anyway, the trails are decent, and connect to the wider network. To the north you can go to Cooper Park and farther on; be very careful crossing the road. Also, the trail is crunched between a neighborhood and a stream; it's a little disconcerting, both to residents and riders/walkers. To the south, you go alongside 161, but then through a nice wooded section and on to Strawberry Farms Park. All in all, it's decent. I used to live nearby and somehow never made it here before. I think I was put off by the way it was shoved behind the mall. But it's nice to have a little open space, if not exactly a lot of tranquility, right near a busy part of town.

It's a popular site for baseball and softball leagues. Tennis is also a popular activity there. If you're looking for the park, it's not that far off Cleveland Avenue. It's located on a side street. The park is in the middle of a residential area, but it's not usually too crowded when there aren't sports leagues going on. It's not that big of a park but there's lots of activities. There's many things packed into this park. It's popular with youth sports leagues. There's usually something going on there in summer on weekends. It has many athletic facilities and fields. There's several baseball and softball fields, a few basketball and tennis courts, and a few walking trails. It's a neighborhood park but Metzger Park has lots to keep you busy. It's good for playing sports but there's other things to do. There's also open spaces and trails.

The area has a basketball court, several benches and picnic tables, baby and traditional swings, and a nice variety of playground equipment, including climbing structures, slides, imaginative play options, and more. There is also a large open greenspace. We came upon it during our stroll along the nearby section of the Olentangy Trail and enjoyed the stop! There's some nice shade over some of the benches and picnic tables, which was quite pleasant.

Lots of picnic tables, some basketball courts, and a substantial shelterhouse. Plus, a playground, the reason for our visit. Looks fairly new, and there are a lot of things to climb on. Baby K was a bit young for everything except the slides and swings. I always appreciate some stuff for the little kids, and there wasn't much here for her. We stayed a few minutes. So, not the best playground but a decent one, and a nice park in general. Always good to see a nice park in a neighborhood, and people taking advantage of it (we saw dogwalkers and basketball players.

Four corners of parks,…read morewith benches, etc. Today was Oktoberfest Sunday Funday, and we went to see the band, the Shazzbots. Nice setup in one corner, grass and shade for the crowd. We wandered the rest, with a few food trucks, vendors, games for kids, etc. A very nice venue for festivals, and a nice park in the center of town to relax or have a picnic. Parking can be iffy, and today the surrounding streets/lanes were closed off. But there is parking at the school, senior center, etc., not far away. Plenty of restaurants and shops in Worthington's walkable downtown right next door.

During the Worthington Holiday Open House, it was all set up with a variety of booths featuring a number of local makers and creators. It is also the home for the community holiday tree throughout the month of December, which was a great set-up. It's also a nice space to stroll through when attending the Farmers Market, which is located nearby when it is outdoors.
