This thrift store is pretty well hidden from the road and located in a row of warehouses that butt…read moreup to the railroad tracks. It's less than 5000 ft.² inside, but it sure packs a lot of unique finds. Seniors get 20% off on Mondays and teachers get 20% off on Saturdays, veterans and active military get 10% off every day. The prices here are more reasonable than anything you'll find at Goodwill and the selection is better. They also sell furniture and have three fitting rooms. This is definitely a ministry worth donating your items to since they have quite an impact on the local community. Cash, credit/debit, no checks and all sales final. Ten informative photos included to get you through the door.

HCCM does a good service for those in need. But manager resents resellers. She actually raised the…read moreprice on a $4 item at the cash register to $10 saying it was mismarked and wanted to on a 2nd item too. I can understand they want to get more of "the pie", but they don't understand that resellers also have a lot of costs and how much Ebay takes. And when they raise their prices to Ebay level, they aren't taking into consideration that Ebay has MILLIONS of customers a day many looking for that exact item. They basically pushed me out to focus on garage and estate sales, which hurts them. I used to get lots here every week. They get kudos for their community work, but they don't realize resellers HELP them by purchasing large amounts weekly. But me and others don't think they want our business.

Found a good condition Van Heusen, the right size, for only $6.99. Picture doesn't really do it justice, for the rare occasion I have to put on my suit, it will work just fine. BTW, my current suit came from another Goodwill in the Austin area, custom suit that normally would be over $1000, got myself a bespoke fitted suit for around $30. Never know what you'll find.

I used to stop at this Goodwill regularly, but lately it feels like a complete waste of time and…read moregas. Their new AI pricing system is wildly out of touch with reality. I'll walk the aisles and see donated items--things they literally received for free--priced the same as, or even higher than, what you can buy brand new at a retail store or online. The whole point of a thrift store used to be finding affordable secondhand items and giving donated goods a second life. Now it feels like they're trying to squeeze every last dollar out of things that were donated by the community in the first place. I often leave empty-handed after spending time and fuel to get there, because the prices just don't make sense. If this keeps up, I'll probably stop going altogether. A thrift store should feel like a place where the community benefits--not a place where shoppers feel like they're paying boutique prices for used goods. Savers is looking better and better every day!
