You will never have to doubt if he is fighting on your behalf as he constantly keeps you up to date with your claim as well as calling the VA office himself on your behalf. I would recommend Ron to any veteran that needs assistance in your disability claim as you will not be disappointed.

Retaliation against residence and family for simply asking the question, "How do you run a facility…read morewith no Dr on staff?" The one that was there Dr Gautam was on probation for self prescribing medication and cutting and pasting medical notes. The supervisoring clinical social worker, Eric thought it would be a good idea to write a note barring the residence's family member and medical power of attorney for visiting, alleging it was the family members idea. The residence signed it and then didn't get a copy for a week. We he he did get a copy he faxed it to his POA/family member. This is sort of tactics the social workers play with family members. The same social worker suggest the resident tell the nurse in his unit the same thing. Management collect their health salaries. Taking years to get medical records, this place is does not put veterans first. Don't put your family member here if you can help it if you do get a lawyer and advocate, stay in touch with your veteran. I once trusted the administration, the social workers, Francis in medical records for that was my mistake. This is a tricky bunch that uses bureaucratic system to violation your rights. Theft is a problem here. One year the resident observed a CNA with your veterans checkbook. maybe four CNA's might line up to complaint to the resident about a family member that have never met as Retaliation and intimidation for complaining about Dr Gautam to Mr. Jenkins. then when concern are brought up to social worker, Vanessa she didn't follow up. This place Has paid fines in the past. FINES - On March 27, the department announced plans to relocate 94 residents of the home's skilled nursing ward because of repeated violations of federal standards and state fines. The next day the Department of Health Services fined the Barstow veterans home a record $100,000 -- the maximum the state can issue -- for the death of an 80-year-old veteran whose declining health was not reported to his physician by the home's staff. In February, DHS fined the facility $95,000 for the December death of a resident, whose heart failure resulted from the interaction of two medications. In June 2000, DHS issued a fine of $64,999 for inadequate care that led to the deaths of two residents. In addition, the federal government in 2000 also decertified the Barstow veterans home as a skilled nursing facility, a move that cost the facility $5 million in federal Medicare and Medi-Cal funds (California Healthline, 3/31)
