I moved to Bentley Village 19 months ago. My wife had passed three years prior, I had sold our properties up north and, at age 89 without any children or siblings, I was living by myself in a Villa in Naples. Although reasonably healthy, I felt I should look into a Continuing Care Community in case I needed it later in my life. At the time I was pretty active with my prior community's Travel Bocce Team. We played in the Southwest Florida Bocce League which consists of 24 communities in the Naples Greater Area, so I talked to the bocce players in that league who represented well known Continuing Care Communities. I was looking for referrals. All the players I approached said the same thing "Our place is wonderful. You would love it." Except one community which was Bentley Village. Their response was "It's terrible." When I asked why, they said, "We have to make reservations for dinner." I thought, first of all, they're honest, and secondly, if that's all they have to complain about, the place must be pretty good. So I inquired and ended up signing a contract. I have been here 19 months now and couldn't have made a better choice. The 150 plus acre campus is beautiful, maintained to keep it so and includes your choice of water, golf course or forestry views. The walking trails are pleasant and peaceful. The golf course is a relaxing par 3 lay-out so you are not killing yourself trying to handle long par 4's or par 5's at our advanced ages. The bocce courts, which I am involved with, are first class and among the best in our 24- member league. I don't play tennis, came but I understand from neighbors that the courts are top notch. The many, many activities offered will keep your current interests as fulfilled as you choose and offer many new ones to try. Within a few days of my coming aboard, I swear every staff member I came cross knew my name. And my neighbors, each of them, made sure I, the new guy, felt welcome. This has become a much longer review than I had planned. But I am just that enthusiastic about my choice here. And as far as the problem with the reservations are concerned, well management has decided to withdraw that requirement. Just because the residents were not happy about it. That action says something about the place. You can't really know what a place is like until you move in and really get to know all the little things about it. It's a difficult decision I know. But you have to start somewhere. Every journey takes a first step. Let your first step include a visit Bentley Village to have a look-see. I don't think you will regret it. Good luck. We have called Vi at Bentley Village home for eight years. Our parents lived here for 14 years, so we already knew the community well through family visits, holiday gatherings, and social events. We moved to Naples in 1989, just nine miles away, and Vi always stood out for its beautiful campus, outstanding amenities, and convenient North Naples location. What has impressed us most is the staff. Their professionalism, skill, and genuine concern for residents create a welcoming atmosphere that makes Vi feel like a true community rather than simply a place to live. The guest lodge has also been a wonderful benefit, giving family members a comfortable place to stay when they visit. The first morning I woke up in my new home at Bentley Village, I felt an indescribable sense of calm and comfort; a sense of knowing I was in the right place. Over the next several days I joked with friends that they must put something in the water because everyone seemed so happy. I quickly came to believe it was the engaging mental and physical activity that was responsible for all the joy. Now I know it's by design. The healthy and vibrant lifestyle we all enjoy at Bentley, is the primary goal of the community's designers and every member of management and staff. After looking at numerous communities, I chose Bentley because it clearly was not a place where people went to await death, it's a place where they come to live. My mom recently spent about a month at Vi in BCC following a hip replacement surgery, and our family could not be more grateful for the care she received. The entire staff was attentive, kind, and compassionate--they truly listened to her needs and responded with understanding at every step. The facility itself was very beautiful - clean, comfortable, and welcoming, which made a big difference in her recovery. She received excellent physical therapy and occupational therapy, as well as nutritional counseling that supported her healing. Thanks to the team's expertise and encouragement, she gained strength quickly and made great progress. We are so appreciative of the personal care everyone showed at Vi. I am in my 6th year living at Bentley Village. I am surrounded by friendly residents  and kind staff. There are acres of greenery... Flowering trees, and nature to absorb and observe.  I ride my bike throughout the campus regularly.   Bently focuses on aging in a healthy way with fitness and fitness classes, golf, tennis, bocce  and other endless activities for the mind and body. Sadly, I lost my husband almost 2 years ago. I know that living at Bentley has made it much easier for me to adapt to my new life without my life partner and best friend. The staff is truly unbelievably kind, considerate and helpful.  Everyone is your friend. Vi is a wonderful warm place to enjoy your later years. I feel so blessed. read more

I stayed at Bentley Care Center for about a month while recovering from a hip replacement, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. The staff went above and beyond with efficiency, kindness, and empathy--I always felt safe and cared for in their hands. They were attentive to my needs, answered my questions thoroughly, and made sure I felt supported every step of the way. I received regular occupational and physical therapy, which were both excellent and played a huge role in my quick recovery. The team's professionalism and compassion made a difficult time much easier, and I am deeply grateful. My wife and I moved to Bentley Village a little over 8 years ago. Many of our friends thought that, at 73, we were too young to be moving to a retirement community. On the contrary, it was the best move we ever made. The food at the 3 restaurants is outstanding. As golfers and tennis players, we fit right in to the active lifestyle here. Unfortunately my wife passed away about 10 months ago. As difficult as this has been for me, the tremendous support I have received from my friends and the staff here has been wonderful. Since I have been here I am more than satisfied that I made the right decision. The activities, food, entertainment, and friendliness of both residents and staff exceeded my expectations.
