Had shrimp bisque which had 5 small cocktail shrimp in a tasty broth. The Arctic Char was excellent. Sauteed spinach as well as plain potatoe ( Dan Quayle U.K. spelling ) chips were a good accompaniment. Iced tea refills by the seasoned host at the Seaside -JIMMY- was proof that he is a keeper par excellent! I carried out Italian Lemon Cake. It's useful for you check out the meals before to you enter in as your opinion could differ or the Pritzker family outfit could return. After living in Shadow Wood for 25 wonderful years, we decided to sell our "too big" home and focus on our future as we age. Although we were still in good health, it was difficult to leave our home and the daily interactions with friends, but we wanted to enjoy maintenance-free living and ease the burden of worry for our children.  After exploring inclusive communities, we chose Bentley Village. After 10 months of living here we know we have made the right decision. It's truly a village! My father recently moved from his house of 25 years to Bentley Village. This was a big move for him and all the staff at Bentley worked so hard and were so kind throughout the process. He was able to move fairly quickly, and the moving company that was recommended by Bentley was spectacular - Turnkey Senior Transitions. Now that Mom's in the Care Center we rely 100% on the excellent staff to care for her around the clock. They always listen to and address our concerns as quickly as possible. In her almost thirteen years at Bentley we've never had to truly worry about her. The Care Center obviously has residents who are far more infirm than Assisted Living, but the environment is light, open, and filled with activity. Residents of this skilled nursing facility still receive chef-prepared cuisine, just like all the Bentley residents, served in an elegant dining room with linen tablecloths and china. They are allowed to order from a menu if they are able but the aides know everyone's favorites and make sure they get it. The residents socialize with each other - to the extent they can - as they dine. If someone has particular dietary or swallowing challenges, chef rises to the occasion to ensure their every meal is delicious and nutritious. The nursing and care staff make sure we as a family are kept informed of our mom's status on a regular basis. When we visit we may find her fresh from the first-floor beauty salon or in the Activities Room engaged in a singalong. Her Lewy body dementia is severe and the hallucinations keep her firmly grounded in fantasy, but she is happy and clean and nicely dressed and very well cared for. read more

Run. They will rip you off when you leave charging unheard of amounts for minor repair and won't compromise. Instead of working it out they will file a lawsuit against your estate. Most unprofessional. While you are there they will try to push you out of your unit into a smaller one. Save your money and independence. Don't do it. Run away. read more

VI at Bentley Village in Naples Fl My wife and I are now living for close to 2 years at Bentley Village and fully enjoy our life in this community. The beautiful landscaping, the comfortable apartments, the many sporting activities like golf, tennis and more, the friendliness and caring of the administration and staff, the variety of tasty foods served in modern and attractive club houses and the excellent care facilities make ever day enjoyable and pleasant. This all deserves the highest rating. But a recent event even surpassed this rating. During hurricane Irma, all residents were evacuated. Residents needing special care were transferred to other care places. Independent residents were evacuated by bus to luxury hotels in Orlando. Unfortunately, the hurricane caused more damage than initially anticipated and an early evacuation plan of a few days stretched to 3-5 weeks for some of the residents. During this time, we as independent residents were housed in superior hotel rooms, had three fine meals per day, were provided with places to play cards, were shown a movie twice a day and were provided with bus services to shopping centers, malls and pharmacies on a daily basis. In the meantime all damaged apartments were repaired, freezers inspected and stocked with some essential foods at our return. And all this occurred in such a smooth way as to least inconvenience the residents but make their stay and return as comfortable as possible. The independent living is nice, but the assisted living and skilled nursing are beyond horrible. Two nurses recently got fired for allegedly taking patient's narcotic pain medications for themselves. Do NOT recommend for any continuing care environment. They are about CYA and budget and resident care comes very low on the list of priorities. read more
