Overall my experience was ok since I usually don't ride via except for special events or park and…read moreride. We took the 24 from Ellis Alley around 3pm on Saturday 2/28/2026. I was told that location park and ride was free but discovered it had a pay system in place. I called via and they said you needed to get a transfer from the driver to place on our car windshield. Not a great plan since I would need to get the transfer ticket, place it on my car and now have to wait for the next bus. That system isn't efficient at all. We paid for parking and went on the rodeo. The drivers were the real standout this night. Both the bus to and then the last bus from Frost Bank Center had stand out drivers. Super courteous. Answered all my questions and even reminded me where to jump off. The common thread of both drivers was their genuine kindness towards all passengers. Attentive to their needs and always a thank you for riding via of have a nice day to those exiting the bus. The drivers earned thus 5 star review.

I never figured I'd be the "public transit" guy one day. San Antonio isn't exactly known for being…read morea bus town so the thought of riding the Via always seemed a bit foreign to me. With that being said, I much prefered a Via bus pass to blowing $100+/month to downtown parking garage fees. Ridiculous. Anywho, I digress. This station is fairly small. Probably like 6 benches outside, 1 small indoor seating area with about 40 seats and a pay station with restrooms 10 feet away. The parking lot is ample and there are security guards always walking the premises so you can feel safe whether you're seated next to a shady looking character or if you're at work wondering if you locked your car. The people who work here are so-so and the place isn't sparkling clean but they do a decent job acting like they care. For what it is, it could be much worse so I rate them on how even though the place is not great, it's also not that bad. Also, since its public transit, my expectations also drop a few points. Use it as a low cost convenient option but definitely keep your expectations in check and you'll be fine.

I wish I had a photo of this person's van he was driving for work (Fiesta Transportation), but I was too rattled by his rudeness to deal with documenting this person's careless journey through life. Today was the worst day we've ever had, with them waited for over 30 minutes for the buses to arrive. They never did another company had to come and rescue everyone, not to.Mention the fact that it was cold and rainy outside. Seems like people don't wanna work anymore. A clean motor coach 3. An on-time driver 4. A driver that knows where the hell he is going Of my experience with Star Shuttle, it's A+ on all four things. It starts with Juan Ibarra, who was our driver for 2 weeks as we toured San Antonio, Austin, and The Hill County of Texas. He was superb. First of all, he was just NICE. Good conversationalist, pleasant, helped people off with a hand (when needed), was always in a good mood. Actually chimed in with some interesting facts along the way. Second of all, he knows the area like the back of his hand. We had to get through San Antonio's morning rush-hour traffic. Instead of losing an hour like everyone else, he took us on short cuts that took less than half the time. Third of all, ALWAYS on time. I will always have this image in my head of his Star Shuttle motor coach just pulllllllling up to the sidewalk in from of the Bullock Museum just as we are coming out. Fourth, he's a good driver. He negotiated the streets of San Antonio and our multiple stops. Our hotel in Austin (the Hyatt Place at Austin airport) wasn't built with motor coaches in mind. With a max degree of difficulty, he got us in to the hotel front. And then, there's the coach. Comfortable, flexible, clean, and lovely views. The sound system and technology hook-up (HDMI, etc.) was great. A bathroom, but nobody really used it with all the stops we had. Absolutely top-flight experience. Juan was amazing. Give that dude a RAISE!!!!!

The gentleman told us everything about the city all the highlights. I think this was a trolley type. Wish it was still there. This bus company was so disappointing, the operator number 7881 was not for me at all, sat behind his glass and mask and would barely speak to you. You could ask him a question and never get an answer. This visit was very disappointing although we enjoyed the Riverwalk and the other sites we saw at the bus situation I would not recommend to anybody.
