The instructor (who seemed to be the owner) was very friendly, and explained everything to the class, as she knew my husband and I were new to yoga. She walked around during the class to help with form and technique, in addition to instructing from the front, and knew everyone by name - even me! I would recommend trying this place out, even if you are new to yoga!

The class was far from packed, which made it more enjoyable. Chloe's queues and music were spot on and challenging without pushing us so hard that we thought we would puke. We all felt great afterwards and were just the right amount of sore the next day. Huge shout-out to the staff for educating my friend that had never been to Barry's before on how the red room and treadmills work and how the class was set-up with switching from tread to floor to tread to floor... Special kudos to Adi working the smoothie bar who was super sweet and chatty and gave us all kinds of local recs to look into during our visit. It was giving "looking for the outdoor boulder" vibes. So here's my notes for anyone that will likely need them. PARKING: Trust your GPS to guide you to the entrance of the parking garage. The entrance and exit are two separate doors, so do not think you can enter and/or exit through both of them. The garage is for the 715 Peachtree building and CRG has a sign on the garage that lets you know to park there. Once you pull a ticket and get inside the garage, park anywhere. Don't forget to take your ticket with you to validate inside the gym! GYM ACCESS: Once you park, get to the same level that you entered the garage. Follow the garage signs to enter the 715 Peachtree building. Do not be alarmed if all the lights are off. Continue down the long hallway until you see the elevators on your right. If you hit the coffee shop, you've gone too far. Go DOWN on the elevator to LL. Once you exit the elevator, you'll see the gym there. General Notes: I would advise budgeting at least 10 minutes to get out of the building and garage. Keep this in mind since parking is only validated for 2 hours! Exiting is also a bit of a doozy, but ultimately just follow the garage signs. If possible, CRG should put up additional signage within the 715 building to direct people. I felt like there was no way I would've known to go down on the elevator a floor without the advice of others. The gym itself is solid - it's mostly inclined walls and a few slabs. One interesting area that I've never seen is one of the walls is set at a greater than 90 degree angle, and is quite scary since it relies a lot on feet. Great wall to train on. I appreciated how much cleaner this gym is compared to the Chamblee locations.

I've been a CFC member for a little bit over a year - and absolutely love it!…read more Who should consider this gym: I think there is a range of fitness levels at this gym and a good mix of men and women, but think it is mostly focused on people who are just starting out Crossfit and don't want to feel intimidated, business people who are busy and need weekends / odd times to go to the gym (early am or late night), and people who aren't as focused on developing this as a competitive sport. Having said this, there are definitely a few ppl that are competition ready too, but if that is not for you there is no pressure. It's all abt having fun and being healthy. I guess what I am saying is that this is a more laid back gym than other Crossfit gyms. For me - the above is a good fit, but it is not for everyone. Why I love it: I LOVE the people. I love the community. I feel safe. I don't feel judged. I feel heard. This is a very welcoming gym, so we always have drop ins and people who hear abt it through word of mouth. Saturday's there is one WOD (workout of the day) so is a good opportunity for a lot of people to catch up and connect. There are lots of social activities we do together, planned and sporadic. Recently we've done Trivia nights / happy hour, hiking Stone Mtn and laser show watching, brunch etc. Programming: I have found the programming has changed over the last few months, for the better I think. They are tough, but can be scaled accordingly per each person's individual level. "Typically" we spend the first part of the workout working on a strength or skill, and the second part hyperventaliting to some timed exercise and praying to dear God that time moves quickly and or/ that we don't pass out, followed by laying in the fetal position on the floor until you can move again (Or is that just me???) CFC has also started to do Skills classes to work on tougher Olympic movements. The whole hour is focused on learning the basics and moving up into the tougher combined movements. Regardless of experience these are always very helpful. It seems like there is one every month on average. We also just kicked off an optional Fitness Challenge where over 30 ppl signed up and are sharing goals weekly to keep each other accountable. Logistics: There are classes from 6am to 7:30 pm with the busiest usually being at 5:30 pm (weekdays). There is usually 1 Sat class at 10am and 3 Sunday gym openings with 2 classes in the am and open gym in the afternoon. Check the website before coming to make sure there aren't changes - as they do observe some holidays. On average there are abt 6-8 people per class - though it varies widely. With some having ~15, and some having 2. There are a few Saturday's which have special events and we've had over 30 ppl turn out. But that isn't the norm. Feedback Steve is the owner and I have generally found him to be very open to feedback. Over the summer I personally approached him on a few points and he quickly addressed them. I think that is the beauty of this gym. You get to be a part of the community and help this be an even better place than it already is. Scammy and unprofessional…read more I emailed ~ 2 weeks ago for the cancellation of my membership and have gotten radio silence ever since asking for confirmation. 4 phone calls, 2 follow up emails and had the front desk leave messages for managers for 2 of those 4 calls. Funny enough my partner emailed to cancel his membership AFTER I did and already received cancellation confirmation. If some intern from corporate tries to claim differently in response to this review - i'll be posting all the screenshots as proof. I literally had to threaten involving my lawyer in my last email just to confirm a gym cancelation? Get real Carbon and train your staff.
