All four of us visited and toured several facilities both in Northern and Southern CA. We wanted to find a place for dad that we felt comfortable live in ourselves. Dad had been living in Northern CA for most of his life, so when my husband and I visited Cloisters (several times), and had met with Tia and other staff members, we felt that it would be the best fit for him, it was still a big leap of faith as it was major move for dad at such an advanced age. Now it has been 3+months and dad has fully adjusted to the facility, met new friends and very much enjoying his new home. Always greeting you with warm smile, Tia is the driving force that keeps everything going the right direction, but each and every person that we have had the pleasure of meeting so far have been caring, attentive and a joy to know. We usually visit dad twice a day every day, so we don't miss much. We would like to specially recognize Marlene who has been exceptionally careful when she is showering dad who had a foot surgery recently. Just last week we celebrated dad's 98th birthday with a cake for everyone at Cloisters. My favorite aspect of the facility is that every room has a view, and most rooms have a private patio access to an immaculately maintain garden brimming with roses, cannas, bougainvillea, many shady trees, hummingbirds and butterflies and many pollinators flitting about, that would cheer up the gloomiest of moods. They are very honest and will do a full assessment. The care staff is amazing, food is great and you will have peace of mind with who is taking care of you or your loved one. However, the body needs some physical help - like taking a bath, cooking meals, doing laundry, etc For piece of mind, my aunt lives at Brookdale. The staff are very nice and check on her to make sure that she remembers daily tasks such as coming to the dining room, taking her medication, and more. She has a private room and bathroom. The big screen TV that my cousin installed is great! She enjoys her puzzle books, letter writing, and chatting with her family. I'm so glad that Aunty is staying at a nice, safe place! It's makes me want to visit her more because there's no foul odors, temperature checks are done upon entry, and aunty's room feels like her old home!

I love to acknowledge good service and kindness and it was easy as baking a cake. I was impressed with the flexibility of the administrative staff; as our friend needed to cancel an appointment, then he rescheduled twice for a tour. The receptionist, Stacey, went above and beyond the call to find and deliver some delicious food without a reservation. Ashley was both direct yet gentle when doing a health assessment, and the chef also was most accommodating. Last, not least, both Marisa and Audrey S. were the icing on the cake as they made us feel welcome and look forward to coming back!

Call button for assistance wasn't working (and never checked) Lack of communication between the doctors and staff - caused a handful more "falls" that should have happened. More visits to the ER than anyone should have had. Doctors testing orders ignored, even asking over and over. Promises of "checking on my dad every 2 hours" were ignored and not ever implemented. 2 of us were there everyday and still could not get the quality of care and dignity that my dad deserved and needed. We were lied to daily and staffing numbers were under the mandated requirements. I would not put my worst enemy in Ridgeview. Be very vigilant before putting your loved one here.

All of the staff members we encountered were friendly and kind. One that stood out among the rest was Seth Limon-Residency Counselor. Seth had prepared and excellent presentation for us that gave us a sense that we truly knew all that The Glen had to offer. When dad first moved in, everything was top notch... but after about 18 months, I started to notice that things were going down hill... None of the staff were happy, and when many of them moved on to work at other facilities, it was a huge loss to Novellus.... I was at the point where I was looking for a new place for pops... Luckily, Emily was let go several months ago, and replaced by EJ ... Since then, EJ , Shayla and Elizabeth have really turned the place around, and into the place that my dad moved into in the first place!!! My dad had a rough last 4 months, but the love and care from all of the nurses like Michelle, Sylvia, Perla, Elka, Minerva, Antonia, Sam, Cristina and several others, really made a difference, as they all had a way of getting my pops to smile!!! I was there every night to see my dad, and I got to know all of the staff well... The ones that have been there for a while, combined with the ones that were recently hired with the new management, are all amazing!!! And while there was a decline for a minute, I would highly recommend Novellus for your loved one!

Gigie has been helping families for the last 27 years. The care she and her staff give is far better than what I have seen at other, more expensive facilities. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Sadly my mother has dementia, and we are having to deal with her care far before we ever expected to. Because of some family issues, my mother started out in a large, over priced Memory Care Facility. The care she got was horrible, and I mean horrible!!! I finally was able to convince my siblings to move her to Casa del Cielo, where she should have been from the start. It took less than one week to know with 100% certainty that it was the right choice. If you are seeking a small, reasonably priced home, where you and your loved one feels like family, and not just a number, then I highly recommend you give them a call.
