Feels like a bit of California in Pittsburgh, which is a fun change of pace! Very open-air, laid back spot, with all the artisanal health food, from an array of juice blends to power bites to smoothie bowls, it's a little pricier, but a fun health treat! The berry smoothie bowl was really good, and you can tell they make it very fresh, worth waiting a little extra for. All the food and drinks look great here, and would definitely recommend coming on a nice sunny day to chat, do work, or just stay in the relaxed vibe. Definitely a once in a while treat especially when the weather is nice!

This would probably be an excellent restaurant for vegans, and people accustomed to special diets like gluten free or dairy free. For us, the food missed the mark and didn't have the flavors we are used to consuming. The prices on some of the items are also much higher than we usually pay in this area. It's a lovely place, though. The staff was friendly and helpful, and there are many food and beverage options, as well as places to eat if you get your meal to stay. So, I don't think I will be returning, but I will point my vegan friends here.

So many healthy options, very clean and super friendly staff. I got a juice, smoothie bowl and a peppermint coffee. I will definitely be back.

What is a better place to come to on a snowy day than Vibrant Sunshine. This is such a cute little café, which will make you happy just by the way that it is decorated. The smoothies and menu selection is also wonderful. I wish this business nothing but abundance & success! I had the green smoothie as well as the good vibes kombucha

I met friends here for Saturday breakfast and appreciated the bright and warm vibe. They offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches and burritos as well as fruit bowls. I opted for a Driftwood breakfast sandwich that was well toasted and with delicious egg and pesto. They offer a variety of juice, kombucha, and hot drinks. I opted for a mint latte that was quite refreshing and delicious. Pricing was fairly reasonable. Getting a latte under $5 is a rarity these days! Plus, they focus on healthy and quality ingredients. There's a small parking lot on site. We didn't have issues finding spots.

I love this spot in Aspinwall! They offer an array of coffees, smoothies, cafe sandwiches, and more. I got the breakfast sandwich by Driftwood Oven that comes on their sourdough with egg, cheese, and pesto. I also had a green smoothie. Both were delicious! I didn't realize it before but they have a tiny little kids area with a play kitchen which was super nice - I could eat in peace lol!

Such a cute cafe with a variety of options. I got a brown sugar latte and we also tried one of their acai bowls. I definitely want to try their different toasts it all looked so good.

Vibrant Café in Aspinwall is such a charming spot. They have easy parking with a few spots in their lot. There were Adirondack chairs set up out front. We were greeted by a welcoming vibe inside, with fresh flower bouquets on the wall and small goods (like greeting cards) for sale. I had a refreshing iced matcha latte with their seasonal Berry Bloom syrup (strawberry + blueberry)! My husband enjoyed his cortado and egg burrito. As a bonus, there was a play kitchenette that kept our toddler entertained while we waited. We loved this family-friendly touch and will be back again.

Great place to enjoy a light lunch or açaí bowl. Friendly staff and fresh ingredients. I also appreciate the seating option, both indoors and outside.

This spot is pretty cute! I liked working from here for a few hours. The beet latte was really good! They use real beet juice and I could tell in the bathroom. The place is spacious and I love the outdoor seating too. They sell a lot of local products inside too which is nice. I need to come back and try the food! It all sounds pretty good though. Love that they have acai bowls.

If you're looking for a café in Pittsburgh with great gluten-free options, Vibrant Sunshine Cafe is worth checking out! While they aren't a dedicated gluten-free facility, they offer a variety of gluten-free treats like bagels, muffins, brownies, and other pastries. They also have açaí and smoothie bowls, plus a solid coffee menu. I tried the açaí bowl and a latte, and both were delicious and fresh! The atmosphere is cute with a garage door, and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Celiac note: I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2023 and have been on the hunt for safe and delicious gluten-free spots around Pittsburgh ever since. Everyone with celiac has different comfort levels when eating out, so I always recommend doing your own research and choosing what feels right for you.

My go-to stop for a glass bottle of The Pittsburgh Juice Company juice when I'm near the Aspinwall neighborhood. They also offer coffee, espresso, tea, adaptogenic lattes, smoothies, and even kombucha on tap! For food offerings, there are açaí bowls, sandwiches, burritos, waffles, and pastries. Located on a corner with a stoplight and private parking lot makes it super convenient to pop-in. There's covered outdoor seating as well as a garage door facade that is opened on good weather days. The decor and ambiance is very chill, with live plants. There's a couple of shelves with goods for sale (sauces, greeting cards, locally made candles, crystal sets). It's both dog and children friendly.

Beautiful place, easy to get in and out of. Impossible to not be happy when you step inside, offering super unique healthy-alternative drinks and food, with a casual setting inside and outside on warmer days. The outdoor area was perfect with kids in the shade with mats on the ground and hammocks.

Adorable interior! I feel like I'm in LA

It's a proper neighborhood butcher shop on Butler Street, the kind of place that had mostly disappeared around here. They do whole animal butchery with meat sourced from local Pennsylvania farms, and you can feel how much the folks working there care about what they're doing. It's not a huge space, just a display case full of cuts, a wall of house made goods, and a small sandwich menu, but that's part of the charm. The staff were friendly and happy to point me in the right direction. The sandwiches are what really got me though. The smash burger is fantastic, a double patty on a challah bun with that special sauce, and you can actually taste the quality of the beef, which makes sense given the whole operation is built around good meat. I also grabbed some of their house made pastrami, and it did not disappoint, tender and full of flavor. Knowing everything is made in house, right down to the bacon and sausages, makes it even better. If you live nearby and don't have a butcher yet, this is the one.

Love the decor in the shop. There were many prepared food options in the fridge, as well as various cuts of meat/preparations of it. We got two sandwiches, the cheesesteak and the marbella. I dont think we ended up with the correct order because we didn't end up with a cheesesteak, but did not realize until we got home. I'm positive that if I went back to the shop they would've remedied the situation, but I didn't feel it was necessary! The sandwich we did end up with was good as well, unsure which one it was though. Very fair prices, and our dog was so happy we brought him home a bone as well! Looking forward to coming back and trying everything they have to offer.

I was actually quite impressed with how well it was prepared. Nice and flaky but didn't fall apart. The bun it comes on is well proportion with the fish. The only thing I could've went without, was the macaroni salad topped on the fish. However, the food here never disappoints. I'll be back.

They are known for big sandwiches which now includes fries and cole slaw. The sandwiches provided value to workers...who were looking for a place to feed themselves to keep their energy up for a long shift. When you sit at the bar and you can only imagine the workers that sat here to feed themselves with what little they had. They found a sandwich between two pieces of soft Italian bread with a good balance of meat, cheese, cole slaw and fries...think energy and value. The history here is real and intense. Would I rate this as a culinary destination? Not particularly but I would say it's a must see to be part of US history as the town righted itself and came to life. The sandwich? I had the pastrami with cole slaw, egg, fries and tomato on Italian bread. Remarkably, the sandwich was light...despite it sounding heavy. The cabbage and tomatoes bring a great balance to the sandwich which makes it messy and remarkably light. Be prepared to get messy..so eat fast! I am probably talking too much about the sandwich...just go try it. The food is probably a 3.5 but it gets the extra .5 for the amazing history there. First and foremost I want to say that this review has nothing to do with the service or any of the staff. The Mr. orange was really tasty. Peri peri sauces are some of my favorite and I'm always chasing that high of a cheeky Nandos (iykyk) I do think the heat was a little more than I expected but there are options to customize to cut the heat.
