My daughter has been here a couple times This week was my first. I had high hopes after hearing that they brew Red Start beans - one of my favorite roasters. They delivered. My Americano was delicious and the price wasn't crazy. My daughter has had a couple different lattes and she has liked them all. Workers are friendly. Overall, a really nice coffee shop. read more

Great cafe with vegan and gluten free options, plus yummy lattes! The coffee here was really nice, I really enjoyed the Centred Latte, a vanilla latte with cinnamon, and their other ones looked good too! I wish they listed the descriptions of what the flavors are for the signature drinks though so I don't have to bother the staff on what each thing actually is while it's busy. The pastries here all looked great with different flavors, I liked the Pecan Cherry scone a lot, with actual cherries mixed in! It is vegan and gf, which means the texture is definitely very different from traditional pastries, but one of the best vegan ones I've ever had. Excited to come back and try more! read more

Quick stop on our way back to Pitt. Plenty of parking on the street. Super cute space. Loved the bone broth latte (maple cinnamon special). We got a vegan donut from a local bakery that was very good. Not super soft but loved the flavor. Would gladly return on our next trip. read more

Cute little coffee shop! They sell coffee, smoothies and lots of other goodies. I was eyeing their date-sweetened chocolate bars and unique protein bars. I ordered an iced centred latte with cashew milk. She described it tasting like French toast. I don't remember all the ingredients but it has ghee, vanilla syrup and cinnamon. I was between that and the iced almond torte latte but I was worried that would be too sweet, she said that's most popular but also the sweetest on the menu. The description of the centred latte tasting like French toast is pretty spot on! It has a really unique flavor, almost bready, lots of cinnamon which I love. Not too sweet at all. My boyfriend got the chocolate tahini protein shake (they have whey and pea protein) with cold brew added. I really loved the smoothie as well, super delicious! The coffee shop has some areas for lounging. It's a laptop-free shop which I think is a great concept. They have some board games and it feels like a great spot to come and read or to meet up with someone. Really friendly and homey coffee shop! Will definitely be back. They also offer a small discount for UPMC staff. read more

I go here often and I always know I am doing good for my body. They used to have a banana bread cookie and it was insane. The smoothies use the best ingredients and they use the best milks. I recommend an iced almond torte latte if you want something very filling and sweet. read more

very different kind of place but different in a good way. Everything is very natural so flavors are more earthly but the coffee was very good. Such a cute and unique coffee shop in Shadyside area! The coffee shop is focused on wellness which I love. They have a lot of ways to upgrade your drinks for health benefits, like adding collagen. A lot of their drinks are also wellness focused such as bone broth lattes, or using pure whole ingredients like manuka honey! They also don't allow laptops which I think is a think is a nice little addition to focus on yourself or connecting with others. I had the iced almond torte latte at half sweetness and i absolutely loved it! My friend had the hot chai with a collagen boost, and it was also delicious! Finally got a chance to stop in for a creative non-coffee drink (I got the hot chocolate) and an afternoon snack (sesame cookie). Didn't stay because I had an hour to kill, and they have a no-laptops policy. Great local and quaint coffee shop serving fantastic coffee and specialty lattes. My favorite is the masala chai latte and lumber Jack latte. They use organic and local ingredients without any refined sugars. They use ghee in the specialty lattes! The staff is always wonderful. Very cool place. Nice atmosphere, my coworker from the Hillman and I like to get coffee here and chat. It is quiet but admits similarly quiet socializing comfortably. Quite relaxing. Vastly superior to the terrible UPMC Shadyside / Hillman cafes. Drinks are super interesting and delicious; their Mexican Hot Chocolate is the best I've ever had by a long way. Their espresso is also very good, I'm quite pleased with the Americanos I get here. For a quick coffee in Friendship or Shadyside, they're great. read more

I'm a stickler for good coffee and knowledgeable + skilled baristas. Here, you get both, always. Consistency is a guarantee. Cappuccinos are third-wave American style and done perfectly. The espresso pull/grind is attentively maintained. Take note! Laptops are not allowed here, so it's not a place to come work, but this does not detract from its 5-star status. In fact this feature lends the place a calm ambiance and escape from the bustle of modern life. read more

Really lovely little cafe. I popped in shortly after 8 AM and loved the relaxed vibe, very friendly service and eclectic assortment of caffeinated beverages. I ended up getting a pumpkin spice bone broth latte and so enjoyed sipping it. It was served with great attention to detail and I sat around and enjoyed flipping through their books while drinking. The food was ok but the actual place was super cute and I would love to come here to study (would be nice if they allowed laptops). The croissant was a bit burnt heavy and could use some more chocolate and the smoothie was super milky and thin (I prefer minimal milk and a really thick smoothie). Their latte flavors are the tastiest! And even the flavored matcha!! The location is very convenient because all we have is big chain coffee spots on the block. And they have tons and snacks, that I've never seen before. It's my go to coffee spot now. So happy to have options, although it does take some time when they get busy. It's a smaller space. There's place to sit but there's a no technology cafe. And you're not allowed to eat there. read more

So after walking by here several times I finally stopped in and it's phenomenal. Cortado and matcha are great and def give you the zing you need. Service is great and if it's busy def worth the wait. The best coffee shop in Pittsburgh! The staff are friendly and warm. The coffee is delicious. There's a wide variety of drinks and baked goodies to choose from. Try the Golden Milk -- you won't regret it! The best part of this place though is the atmosphere. Trouble melts away as soon as you set foot in this peaceful cafe; soft sofas and a grand long table make the venue appear at once stately and homely. Truly an unbeatable experience! read more

Absolutely incredible local run business. Everything is fresh and natural and is one of the coziest Coffee spots in the city. Friendly staff and even met the owner, all of whom make you feel comfortable, important and genuinely brighten my mornings every time. 10/10 recommend giving this place a stop if you live anywhere even remotely close to the city. Worth the drive from beaver county to Shadyside. Incredible how well managed and set up they are for just recently opening. Couldn't speak more highly of this establishment. read more

The coffee here is OK. They use West Coast sizes meaning that espresso drinks have too much milk. My cappuccino didn't have sufficient foam. The coffee itself tasted better than average. The service is fine, although they don't have ordinary sugar. Paradoxically, they don't have nonfat milk either. The ambiance is great. read more

This place is truly amazing. They have organic coffee, sourdough baked goods, raw cheese, local maple syrup/honey and so much more. No refined sugars or oils!!!!! Finally a place that doesn't believe in the narrative that seed oils are healthy!!!! They bake with real butter and it's amazing. You have to check this place out. It's so cute in there and their coffees/lattes and baked goods are soooo good. Been looking for a place like this for a while now and so happy I found it. Honestly the ONLY thing that could make this place any better is if they sold/used raw milk (but I know there are a ton of regulations so this would be hard to do). read more
