They wanted to replace the ball bearings as well, but that would've been another 800 and I didn't want to spend too much all at once. I was already spending a months pay for me on it. Fast forward to now and my car is literally worthless. The underside has rusted and rotted away, verging on falling apart completely. I can't even get a tow truck driver to take it in because they're worried that will just make it worse. It's wild to me that after having my car for several days and having found several other issues, they just somehow didn't notice this. I spent 1,300 dollars on repairs and they somehow didn't notice the one thing that has killed my car. They should've noticed it when they had it, and then maybe I'd have 1,300 more dollars to burn on a new car.

I would suggest that you could save a lot of time, possibly money by visiting Lawrence Auto Clinic and Sales in Cambria. IL. I found Tony Lawrence to be an honest, upfront, personable human being who in his words "We sell good vehicles at a reasonable price and will not sell junk". Honda CR-V EX I purchased from Tony was as good as any dealer's featured front row late model used car..spotless and in excellent condition. Hopefully, I will be finished looking at a car purchase for myself for a decade but if my daughters or grandchildren need a good used vehicle at a fair price I'll suggest they visit or call Tony to see what he has on his lot first. Respectfully, Bob Camp,Carbondale,IL.

Do NOT take anything here…read more Out of all four of the tires, only one of them had weights on it. But old weights! Not new ones! Four people at that tire shop worked on the truck one person for each tire because the tires are very big and not one person did their job. Weight glue was left on the tires, and no weights were put back on. A weight was found in my tire. Scratched the rims. Left old weights on one tire. Wrote on our rims instead of on the tires. Destruction. They gave us the money back for "the weight they put on their" but they didn't put ANY ON!!!!!!!!!!!! And only gave us a 65$ refund when we paid 265$ This was endangerment. We travel full time for work, and the truck they did this to pulls our camper. We move every 2-3 months. Making things right is what keeps customers coming back. This was unacceptable!

I had to bring my car to them 5 times and those are still problems. On the 3rd or 4th time of picking my car up, the face of my steering wheel fell out on me while driving and when i brought it back the owner tried to tell me it was normal. They wouldn't listen to me or try to tell me anything until i got my father involved. when i said i had to call him i was told "i don't take kindly to being threatened" and it wasn't until i said my dad is still technically the owner of my car did their tune change. The owner was just plain rude to me and my family but when my white best friend said the exact same thing i said two seconds before, all of a sudden he understands and he'll fix it. My husband seen a posting on Heartland Swap by an employee of Auffenburg of Carbondale,Il. On the…read moremorning of the 11th of June, an appt was made with Bill. G., myself and my husband. Myself and my husband looked over the 2008 Pontiac Torrent. And decided that we would purchase the truck at that time. Due to JALC starting classes in the Fall, and I would be a returning student. Bill.G. had informed us that the truck some times open and sometimes not with the truck's remote. He also preceeded to inform us that the truck had one owner whom was elderly. And that the "only" problem that the truck had was that the driver actuator switch needed to be replaced. Bill. G. informed me and my husband that he and the mechanics was aware of the problem. And that by replacing the driver side door handle would fix the issue. It didn't as we found out later that evening. We all agreed upon a price of $5500 and that there was a limited warranty of up to fifteen day. Now keep that fifteen day mark in you mind. The limited warranty covered the engine, axle, water pump, you get my drift. Again, keep the items that in ONLY covered in you mind as well. So everything was going really well up intil this past Saturday 20th of June 2020. Myself and my family was enjoying an outting in Marion, Il that evening. The sky started turinging dark, the wind became very gusty. Blowing around outside chairs and tables so we decided to head back home to Carbondale, Il. The ABS light came on and the anti tractionskid sensor came on. I understood why the anti traction came on due to the gusty winds. The ABS light and the anti traction was still on and we didn't understand why. Upon reading the cars manual to reset the ABS and the anti traction. To no avail did the trucks reset fix the now new issues. So this past Monday withing the 15 days, I was willing to part ways with the truck. Because taking my truck to my certified mechanic, it was not the driver side actuator that was causing the issue but an electrical one. So no, my husband nor myself was told of that issue while discussing the truck. And the ABS light and the anti traction needed to be serviced now at this point. So the service dept said that the problems that I was having was not covered under warranty. So I asked to speak to Bill .G. But he was too busy to answer my question, If I could return the truck. Or was I know stuck with the truck now displaying new problems. Bill. G. couldn't be bothered to answer my questions but asked another associated to do it for him. I was told that Auffenburg would only fix the problems if I paid them for the services. And because the registraion was now in my name. And no longer in the name of Auffenburg. That it was no longer their problem but now mine and my husband's. Granted I'm still well within my 15 days of warranty. So a collegue of mine told me about a situation that her white female friend had with Auffenburg. Now here we have two working women, paid the vehicles in full but I was black and she was white. Her co-worker had purchased a newer mustang at Auffendburg of Carbondale, Il. The white female after three days had problems with the mustang acceleration. The mustang wouldn't accelerate over 15 miles to or from any destination. Now the same warranty that was given to me was also given to this young lady. She contacted her saleperson and discussed her issue and Auffenburg. Heard her whoes, and Fixed this young lady's mustang at NO COST TO HER. Her sales man called her severa days later asking if she wa having any further issues with her new car(used). But I was told to pay for my whoes that were already there. So my observation is that we were not treated in the same manner due to out race but not our professions. A co-worker was looking to buy a car at Auffenburg but decided against it. Because if that could happen to me, then she was no exception. I talked to several professionals and they too was looking for a car. But decided that Auffenburg of Carbondale would not be a car dealership to do business with. The saying goes, it's not what you know BUT who you know. We was considering trading in our Rendezvous for another truck at Auffenburg of Carbondale. I wouldn't care of the truck was absolutely free. We will never do business with Auffenburg of Carbondale again. Because my mama always said, " Just because it's free doesn't mean you have to take it." Auffenburg may be ok with this lost, but my experience cost you even more business. If you can't treat everyone with dignity and respect. Then consider trading jobs or better yet learn interpersonal skills.

While I was broken down last week in a parking lot (my ignition cylinder broke), I called to ask if someone could come out to help me hot wire my car as I did not have the tools in the parking lot to do it myself. While I was on the phone, the man doubted my diagnosis and tried saying it could've been from a chipped key. He further stated that in order for him to come out and "diagnose" my car and to help me start it to move to a different location, he was going to charge me $125. I didn't see the purpose in having someone come out to the parking lot to tell me a diagnosis that I already knew, and I didn't need it moved anywhere as I was in a parking lot and not on the side of the road. The man on the phone was not friendly, and he acted like I didn't know what I was talking about (I am a woman living in a man's world apparently!) He told me he would call me back in 5 minutes after he researched what would've needed to be done & he never even called me back. Thankfully, I have a great village of people down here in Carbondale who were able to assist me with the proper tools to get it hot wired. If I had to rely on this business, I would not have a running car today! GO ELSEWHERE!!!!!
