Nom nom this was my first time trying this place and it was a good experience. The cashier was helpful in walking through the menu. There are a ton of options. They bring the food to you after you order but you self serve your drink and condiments. I got a blueberry biscuit sandwich which was good and a side of grits which are delicious. The biscuits are a decent size so getting just that is plenty.

Walking into the vicious biscuit on a Sunday morning and the wait in the line was about 20 minutes. Then once we order the wait for our food was about 40 minutes. The meal I got was the munchkin meal as I can not eat too much. The grits were phenomenal, probably the best I've ever had. The scrambled eggs were cold and disappointing. The pancake was okay and reminded me of a funnel cake. Other plates at the table seemed to really enjoy their meals. I enjoyed the butter bar, which I thought was cute. The place overall was spacious and you could definitely find a good seat. Worth the wait? I don't think so.

The food its self was great and would alone get 5 stars but the service was beyond slow and makes me hesitate to come back. You order at the counter and there was a long line just to order then another 45 minute wait for the food to actually come out so that was not enjoyable. When the food did come out it looked and tasted great. I ordered the gravy train with a jalapeño cheddar biscuit and I highly recommend that swap, the biscuit isn't spicy just more flavorful. Also tried the grits and they were thick and creamy. The only thing weighing down the review was the service speed so it's probably best to avoid this place on weekends

I have been here twice and it seems pretty expensive for the type of breakfast items I tend to want when I am in a breakfast or brunch mood. The second time I got a basic egg & cheese biscuit and it was like $10 with tip (I topped on the kiosk, guilt got the best of me). I will go back and eat in the restaurant and see if I can go up a star or two next time.

Oh man, we loved this place and it's too bad we waited until the next to last day of our travel to try it. We ordered online and picked up inside, it was ready on time, hot and fresh! Visited Vicious Biscuit for the first time. Upon walking in I noticed the aesthetic of the place was nice, brightly lit and plenty of seating. I was expecting a sit down restaurant but it was more of an order at the register situation, which I didn't mind at all. Staff was nice and pricing of items were reasonable in my opinion. My guest and I both ordered the shrimps and grits with a side waffle totaling up to about $43. I like that they give you a number to take to your table and they bring the food to you. Very efficient experience ordering there and it was quick! (It was after 12pm when we went.) Now this is on me because I didn't read everything that came with it but when I got my shrimp and grits I was not expecting it to be on a biscuit. Lol I think they should change the name of it to "shrimp & grit-cuits" lol Any way the food was pretty decent, I didn't leave disappointed but it wasn't super spectacular. The waffle was really thick and it tasted like a cinnamon crumb cake if you like that kind of flavor it's pretty good. One thing I disliked about my experience was the cleanliness of the store. Crumbs were on the floor and the floors were very sticky on the side we sat on. ...But it was cool probably wouldn't rush to return.

If you're ever in Boone, North Carolina and craving a quick bite, Vicious Biscuit is worth a visit. I was in the mood for a biscuit, and this spot delivered with biscuits galore and so many creative biscuit sandwich options. You order and pay up front, and then your meal is brought to the table. There's plenty of space to sit, and the whole place is well lit with a welcoming feel. One of the coolest features is their butter and jam bar. They offer a variety of butters like honey butter, maple bourbon butter, sweet potato butter, and regular butter, along with jams that range from apple butter and apple pie jam to blueberry ghost pepper, blackberry, peach habanero, and strawberry. They serve more than just biscuits and biscuit sandwiches too, with options like bowls and short stacks. My husband ordered the Fat Boy, a buttermilk biscuit stacked with crispy fried chicken, pimento cheese, and hot honey. The Fat Boy was delicious, the chicken was perfectly crispy, and the mix of chili sauce and pimento cheese gave it a flavorful kick. I can see why that is one of their standout biscuits. I ordered the Animal Farm, which came with a buttermilk biscuit, white cheddar, Vicious candied bacon, and an egg cooked your way. I had mine scrambled, and the egg was nice and fluffy, though I was not too thrilled with the bacon and ended up giving it to my husband. What I really enjoyed was eating the biscuit topped with butter and blackberry jam. It was absolutely delightful. We loved the biscuits so much that we actually ordered more to take home. Vicious Biscuit definitely hit the spot and is a fun place for biscuit lovers to try.

Vicious is a delicious breakfast option when in the Boone area. The restaurant itself is really cool. They do pack out but they do a pretty good job of moving the line along. I will say that they could probably stand to add another cash register and an additional employee taking orders during peak times, but I realize that's a big change! Their biscuit creations are unique and delectable. It's hard to choose which one to get! I got the Nashville Hot this time and my boyfriend had The Vicious. My favorite thing about this restaurant is the sauce/jam/and butter bar, just one more thing to elevate these already top notch biscuits. The only reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars is because I've been to the other location in Mt Pleasant and found it to be a little bit better than this one. The portions weren't as large here and the chicken wasn't quite as tender. Overall, a great experience though and one I'd recommend to anyone in search of a great biscuit or breakfast!

We went on a Friday morning at 10am. The line moves slowly rhry have one cashier so it is a bit of a wait. The menu seems wide at first but it is fried green tomatoes, pulled pork, and biscuits. There is more but that is the gist. It is a series of "if only" they had a second cashier.... committed to thr BBQ and used vinegar.... if only they used better cheese in their grits... The service here was amazing, the staff was very nice and very helpful. The decor was very easy on the eyes and did not conflict with the vibe of the the restaurant. I ordered the fried green tomatoes with pimento and bacon jam, it was fried perfectly and the pimento was the best I have had in my life, the same goes for the bacon jam. Newcomer to the Vicious franchise and let me tell you, this is one of the best brunch franchises in America. The staff and atmosphere for this Boone location is so welcoming, friendly and very personable. You get the sense that they are not in it just for the sales or numbers, but they truly care about their customers. I recently stayed in Boone for three days visited Vicious Biscuit twice. The biscuits are jumbo size and need to cut due to their sizes. But again everything was on point. Great products in the middle of Boone nc. Go there for breakfast you won't be disappointed. This place is so good! Im visiting Boone with some friends and we decided to give this place a shot. I love the vibe; the menu isn't giant (not much for vegan/vegetarian options sadly), you get to order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table (quick service). They have a flavored Butter and Jam bar which are awesome! I recommend the maple butter, so yummy. When i visited, we saw a couple people stocking up on jams and butters for their orders. it makes dining there fun! It was not clean when we walked in, and the manager was yelling at her employees for the littlest things that don't matter. The workers are mistreated, and so is the building. The food was also terrible. Loved talking to the employees, but when the managers yell at them it ruins my experience. read more

This place is so good and the staff there is great. We didn't discover this place until our vacation was almost over - we went back 4 days in a row. The biscuits are huge. I am hooked on the "Silence of the Hams" especially accompanied by habanero peach jam and honey butter from their Jam and butter bar. Brewed coffee was good with many refills. read more

A modern twist of wild flavors on a southern staple. The coffe mocha perfectly toasted and deep flavor. The Orange juice is the freshest I've had since I've last decided to juice 8 oranges myself, so delicious. Food was terrible. Eggs very overcooked and potatoes cold. There is no service. You have to order and tip before you go to your table. A server delivers your food - in our case one person's food and by the time the food for the second diner arrived, the other was finished eating. After the server delivered the second person's food, she said "if you need anything, come and find me" Bathroom was not clean and no paper towels available. read more

Transparently this was our third stop trying to find a breakfast place without an insane wait on a Sunday morning, but i'm so glad we ended up here. There was a small line when we arrived, but it moved quickly and we were able to order at the front in just a few minutes. I ordered the viscous (fried chicken, sausage gravy, maple syrup on a cheddar jalapeño biscuit) without cowboy candy (pickled jalapeños) and I added an over easy egg (only $1.50 extra). Food came out super quick and looked fantastic. I had debated getting a side with my biscuit, but the sandwich alone was more than enough. The sausage gravy had big chunks of meat in it and was very flavorful. The chicken was cooked perfectly and was easy to cut through. The egg was a great addition and the cheddar jalapeño biscuit was one of the best I had. If you're looking for a quick and convenient spot that has great food this is your place. I will say the line got much longer after we left so make sure you come early if you want to get in quick! read more

During this rush, all the employees were very helpful, kind, and just overall amazing. My husband tried two different entrees this time--the Butch Triplett (corned beef and eggs) and their breakfast burrito. Their corned beef is likely from a can, but it's so good because they cook it so it's very crispy. I always steal some of his corned beef to add to my eggs! Their breakfast burrito is amazing. It's simply filled, with just scrambled eggs, cheese, small bits of ham, and hash browns. It's topped with an enchilada sauce that is similar to a ranchero sauce, and is served with sour cream and guacamole. It's a massive burrito, and SO GOOD! My husband said it's his new favorite. Social on Main is popular, and so we always go early (before 8am). After 8am, there is usually a wait--especially on Saturdays. Their servers are always friendly, and the food is delivered fast. Their coffee is nice and strong, too. I wish we had a Social on Main near our house, because we'd visit them weekly. Give them a try if you are in Blowing Rock for a visit and want a great breakfast!

It is fresh, not frozen, and the meats are without hormones. My portion of fries was large, and I couldn't finish them. A smaller portion option would have been nice. I found the setup here confusing, as I wasn't sure where to enter from the parking lot, and then I wasn't sure where to order. Ordering is done at the kiosk or via a QR code. So expect a wait for the kiosk. I use kiosks and apps often, but this particular system was not smooth. I found the kiosk not as easy to use as it should have been; after I selected what I wanted, there was no way to get to the next screen to check out. I went with the build-your-own and was also disappointed that tomatoes weren't an option to add to the burger, but maybe they were out. They are a cashless business. When your order is ready, it is placed on a front cart, while drinks and sauces are self-serve. If I return, I will likely stick to the drive-thru, as that seems to be a much smoother ordering experience. The business model is to feed everyone who walks in whether you can pay for it or not. You can eat for free, pay $10 (or as much as you like), buy food tokens to leave in the token jar (passing on a meal) or work off your food in the kitchen or helping out... again as much or little as you want. The atmosphere is what your would expect in a cafeteria with folks servicing you off the line. The food is fresh farm to table and you only pay $10 for your meal, of which they have few options and basically tell what you can order. ... the food for the price was exceptional. There were folks from all walks of life from well off families to homeless folks off the street. The tables are tight and few in number, but not so much to be instructive. They are close enough to do one of my favorite things, meeting people and hearing their stories. So eat, meet and move on to make room for others.
