Turns out Jax had aggressive cancer in his intenstines and lymph nodes not operable. Shockingly we had to put him down at shy of his 8 year birthday. The Vet on call that night (I wish I had his name) and the girls on staff were unbelievably compassionate, caring, and consoling. Going thru the process of putting down your pet when that wasnt in the plans is gutwrenching... Being with Jax thru the process was heartbreaking but also a Blessing.. Kerry M. was our vet and she walked us through every step, educated us, was patient, and was so kind to Iverson and us. I had to cancel the first appointment because I was not ready to say goodbye. They offer a cancellation window up to 4 hours before your appointment and allow you to carry over your deposit to when you reschedule, with no extra fee. So thankful for this understanding. The cost may feel steep, but the in-home service is so so worth it. Iverson had his last meal while the pain meds were administered. It was a distraction where he didn't even notice. He felt safe and comfortable in his home, surrounded by family and on his favorite couch. He was then given a sedation medicine where he drifted into a nap on my chest. When the final medicine was given, he felt no pain as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I have heard horror stories from other in home service companies. I had 3 friends use Caring Pathways and that is why we went with them. I am so grateful and thankful that we chose to work with Caring Pathways. It helps with acceptance and closure and provides a peaceful passing. I will forever recommend them to other family and friends who need to say goodbye to a family pet member.

She scheduled me to return later that afternoon to get my cat in, no problem. The coolest thing about this place is the cats and dogs have separate clinic space, (cats downstairs and dogs have the upstairs) so there are no clashes between them which keeps the experience very mellow. I got my kitty in and Dr. Hunt was so personable, letting me watch the whole time, and he handled my injured cat with velvet gloves. Obviously he loves animals, and he provided so much helpful information, care tips, and options for treatment. Unlike a lot of vet's I have encountered, he actually listened to my concerns and valued my input, treating me like an intelligent responsible pet owner. She got a terrible cut on her leg from a grooming accident that required staples and stitches. Dr. B fixed her leg right up. They didn't even charge me for the follow up visit as the staples had already fallen out. When I took one of my girls in for a teeth cleaning, they took great care of her. I for before an after pictures and no extractions were required. This vet clinic also accepts my pet discount card- petassure. Dr. B is an incredible, experienced, kind, and talented veterinarian. Fortunately mostly paw pad and skin - no broken bones or removed toes/digits. Discharged with antibiotics and painkiller. Receipts, summary pdfs emailed immediately. Our Internal Medicine specialist referred us here and had spoken with them earlier and they were ready for him whenever we got there. He and I drove up from New Mexico and arrived in the middle of the night (about 1:30am). Everyone we spoke with was super kind and the doctor on call was knowledgeable, patient, and explained everything to us and what we could expect. While the overnight receptionist made for a very bumpy experience in getting deposits and being able to explain what I was signing, everything else about our visit here was nothing short of fantastic and our boy would not be here if it wasn't for them. He went into surgery later that morning and while they did forget to call us before they went in, I spoke with the surgeon afterwards who shared all the details of how everything went. He was hospitalized for several days and the morning and evening updates along with daily visits I had a lot of interaction with the staff. There were a few times when I was visiting him where I felt like they may have forgotten about me but they do get extremely busy when multiple emergencies arrive. Every single doctor was nothing short of amazing. Dr. Bush, Dr. McEntire, Dr. Wigley, Dr. Sender, and Dr. Ineson - thank you doesn't seem to be enough to express how grateful I am for the care that was provided.
